Drugs.com says no interaction, but I just want to make sure.
People have told me the xanax will kill the stimulant high, some others have said the stimulant will put you in withdrawal...

We did get there , he is in his final year and has very high predicted grades, he is very bright and quick. He is still completely disorganised, but hey thats him and he is very laid back now while all his teenage friends get into drugs +drink he is much more moderate. He knows that he has to control himself and he has learned how to without medication.
Hi - 36mg of Concerta seems high for a 5 year old. Most docotors also do not start out with Concerta as the medicine for a 5 year old. If you are still giving her the medicine, please talk to your doctor about the fact that this medicine maybe is not working. Maybe it is too high of a dosage or the wrong medicine. If she is behaving at home, maybe you can consider a medicine that is not as lasting as Concerta. At this age, you probably should only medicate her for school.
Hi folks, I took Concerta for 2 weeks and gave it up because of GI issues and a lot of facial twitching in addition to still having a lot of fatigue. I stopped taking it almost a week ago but I still have a remaining eye twitch that is driving me nuts.
Now I'm thinking the current twitch is likely unrelated to Concerta and may be MS related. If so, it is a new symptom for me and like most MS symptoms, I need relief.
Has anyone had any success getting rid of the twitches?
I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult a few years ago, and started taking concerta to help me focus in college. I stopped taking it for a while, and about a month ago, went back on the concerta. I take 36mg of extended release in the mornings when I have class or homework to do, and it does help me focus. However, since going back on it, I've noticed that I sometimes can't grasp words. Like I know what I'm talking about/trying to say, but I can't place a word with it.
Years ago my husband came to me asking me to try a homeopathy root for ADHD that someone told him about. Good thing I did my research. It was used by native hawaiians to get high. It was compared to cocaine and not only was it addictive but it also causes kidney damage. Do your research before trying anything.
My daughter is on Concerta 36 mg and is 54#. Schoolwork has improved considerably however the "come down" in the evenings are horrible. She is so irritable and then she cries alot. Anyone have any ideas what I should do. Could this be too many mgs?
We'll I am 17 in high school and graduating next year. I am not here to cry and say my life is terrible in anyway cause people are worse off than me, but I haven't been happy or excited about anything in my life for about 2 years I can't remember the last time I was happy to tell the truth.
Im a 16 yearold male that plays a ton of sports and works out a lot but I'm never hungry! Its really weird all my buddies eat a ton of food after our games and in general there always hungry! I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 160 pounds. I am starting to feel weak because I don't eat. Is it normal for me to feel like this? I'm currently on 105mg of concerta. Could the concerta be doing it to me?
Is there anyway to reduce this while taking adderall, and what could it be caused by? I was then switched to 18mg Concerta ER and I still get the same side-effects but they are about 85% less severe and last alot shorter 1-2 days max, but doesnt even work for me. Maybe amphetamines are too "strong" for me?
I diagnosed with ADD and was prescribed Adderall 20mg XR when I was about 22 years old, and I didn't have a problem at all except slightly dry mouth.
Your post is light on details but if you're having palpitations and high heart rate at rest (how high in the 100's are we talking?) then you should get checked out. I understand that you are afraid of having your activity levels or current medications altered but only a Dr. with proper testing equipment can tell you if your symptoms are indicative of a heart issue, an adverse reaction to your ADHD drug or simply a benign nuisance (most likely).
i'm 17 and i take concerta (ritalin) which the medication is released from the capsule in different amounts during the day. when i wake up at 6:45 to go to school sometimes i don't eat but i always take my pill, which makes me feel sick or not hungry or have a headache. should i take a lower dose if it makes me feel bad?
My son is 8. At age 2 he was diagnosed with Autism. He is very high functioning but of course with this he has OCD type behaviors, anxiety etc. At age 5 he was diagnosed with pretty sever ADHD. We started on Strattera and after two weeks he violently attacked me...We then went to Concerta then to Focalin then back to Concerta....not ever obtaining great control of ADHD.
I take Abilfy, Topomax, Wellbutrin and Concerta. I go to the gym 3x week and try to watch what I eat. I am always tired!!!! Any suggesstions?
I have had a couple of episodes where I get a burning sensation at the back of my neck and sometimes down my arms. The burning is also between my breasts. Along with these episodes I sometimes broke out into a cold chill (internally) and got dizzy. Id think it was my new RX to Zoloft or my antibiotic but I had my first occassion a week or so prior to my starting them.
My major problems all this time are fatigue and weakness in my legs. My previous neurologist had suggested and prescribed Concerta for some temporary help for those symptoms. I am currently taking a 54mg tablet each morning and I cannot tell that it really helps since I do have "good" and "bad" periods.

Tried ritalin (normal), ritalin SR, Concerta and amphetamine. Concerta gave me something but felt something missing, normal ritalin was terrible, OD and came into "cocain waves" (very high, and straight to the bottom), amph gave me more but I didn´t eat, and felt a bit anxious, ritalin SR was, and is my favourite, works as a charm.
My son has tried Ritalin, Dexodrine and Concerta. All have made him tic, but the concerta tics seem to last longer. He has been off for two weeks and although the neck jutting out has stopped, the clearing of the throat has not. I have removed him off all medication and am convinced the pros of the medicine DOES NOT out weigh the cons. Be careful parents! Make sure you do your research before placing your children on medication.
