Avatar n tn my daughter is 7 year old and she weights 48.
Avatar f tn Sorry, I don't know of any coupons for the 27 mg dosage. There are many others who are looking for the same thing(coupon for a better price) and there just is not one right now. You can contact Concerta on their website and ask them if they will have any coupons for that dosage at another time.
Avatar f tn m taking 20 mg extended release in the morning, and 10 mg non-ER in the afternoon. I love this particular set-up. Generally, it keeps me going through the day, although there still are times when I just need to sleep, even after taking the drugs. I'm not totally familiar with the Concerta brand, but I'm guessing that what you're taking is extended release?
Avatar f tn I take lexapro at 10 mg, claritin 24 hour, folonase, concerta( just moved from 27 mg to 36 mg). Just added seroquel at 25 mg and ritalin in the afternoons. I was perscribed albuterol sulfate, ibuprofen 600 mg and zomig nasal as needed. Cold spells arent new and randomly come and go, normally lasting several hours and spreading along right side from face down. Feet and hands are normally cold, sometimes blotchy purple. Two weeks ago I had a clean MRI without contrast.
Avatar m tn I have had a full cardio workout and I am 44 in good health and have no other problems than Hashimotos which I am not yet taking meds for when this is all over. Can someone please help?? I am only on the second day of a smaller dose of concerta at 18 mg the previous one was 27. My head feels like it’s in a vice, my ears are ringing and I am having anxiety! Worse yet when I try and stop taking it, my anxiety gets much worse!
Avatar n tn Ricky had started Concerta at the end of the month of Novenber. He was on 18 mg (btw he just turned 7 and weighs 47 pounds),at the beggining we noticed a HUGE difference, the change lasted until the a week before the xmas break, then he seemed to fall back into his old pattern, attention problems, lost and playing alot with his fingers. So I had a doc appointement a uped his dose to 27 mg.I have this for 2 weeks and another prescrition for 36 mg if we don't see any difference.
Avatar n tn My daughter is on Concerta 36 mg and is 54#. Schoolwork has improved considerably however the "come down" in the evenings are horrible. She is so irritable and then she cries alot. Anyone have any ideas what I should do. Could this be too many mgs?
Avatar n tn I just started taking Concerta (36 mg) and I immediately developed shingles. My doctor swears it's a coincidence, but after seeing your post I can't help but wonder. I had chicken pox as a child, but I've never had shingles before now. What happened in your case? I went to the doctor today and got neurontin and valtrex, but the doctor told me to keep taking the Concerta. I don't know what to do.
Avatar n tn The doctor ordered Valium 2 mg because he thought it was seizure related, but the Valium does not help. He was in the ER for 5 hours during the weekend. Believe it or not Benadryl helped him. This might occur 2-3 times per day while in school. He cannot swallow. He does not drool and not having body movements or anything else that resembles a seizure. No pain involved and no spasm of the tongue. Student takes Geodan, Trileptal, Resperdal, Prevacid, and Concerta. He is 19 years old.
Avatar n tn Now my daughter is on propranolol 20 mg/5mL at 2 mL per day, Concerta 27 mg, and cetirizine all together. My problem now is that the Concerta seems to not be as effective when she was doing so well before. I asked to take her off the propranolol to see if it would make a difference but the cardiologist said that she is in danger of morbid arrhythmia and that her arrhythmia was wildly out of control. They told me she was having 3-4 PACs in a row constantly. Is this really dangerous?
Avatar n tn I've been taking 18 mg of concerta for 16 years and it's been a great help to me! (I briefly tried another time released stimulant and it didn't work for me.) Going on and off it can be very distruptive though-- it is best to stay consistent with it. When I'm going back on it after a break, I tend to lose my appetite and have more trouble sleeping. I recommend taking it after breakfast at the same time every morning...
Avatar n tn Interesting, I can find no mention of a 32mg dose of concerta. Is he on a 36 mg dose? if he is, "The maximum dosage of Concerta should not be greater than 0.9 mg per pound of body weight." fish oil is certainly something worth trying. There are ones out there developed specifically for kids (chewable, etc), and they will have the suggested dosage on the bottle. I really can't see any reason that primrose (I assume the oil) would be worth your money.
Avatar f tn either both feet and hands are pale and bluish, or, as of last night, right foot was red, warm, normal, left was pale blue and cold. He is taking Concerta, 36 mg./day. Has been on meds for 5 years for ADHD, but increased from 27 mg. to 36mg in Dec. 2010. No history of heart problems; he is very thin, always has been; 5'3" and 90 lbs. Just don't understand the intermittent change in color of his feet when he is not feeling especially cold or warm. Thanks for your help.
Avatar m tn My doctor thinks we may try something else to counteract the fatigue side effects of Paxil, once I concerta is out of my system. Honestly, this experience with concerta has me thinking of to phasing antidepressants altogether. I should mention that asside 50mg of Paxil I am also taking 0.5 mg of risperidon. I thank you again for your very thoughtful response.
Avatar m tn Hi I am so sorry to post this here because I know it is for children, but please forgive me because I need help. I think I was incorrectly diagnosed at 44 and have been put on concerta 27 mg almost 3 weeks ago. I have complained from day 1 that I am getting headaches and intense back and shoulder pain. I went and was cleared off all heart related problems so I guess its all muscular. Anyway I have just 2 days ago was switched to the 18 mg because of all the complaints.
Avatar f tn I just started taking Concerta (36 mg) and I immediately developed shingles. My doctor swears it's a coincidence, but I can't help but wonder. I had chicken pox as a child, but I've never had shingles before now. I went to the doctor today and got neurontin and valtrex, but the doctor told me to keep taking the Concerta. I don't know what to do because the Concerta is helping my ADD, but I also believe it at least played a part in my shingles outbreak.
Avatar f tn I started taking 18 mg of Concerta once daily about 2 weeks ago. Oddly I have noticed two things: 1) I can no longer have my daily/morning coffee without severe nausea (even the pharmacist didn't have it as one of his warnings). 2) Despite the fact that it keeps me awake to the point that daytime napping is not possible I still feel exhausted most of the time which doesn't make much sense to me. Has anyone had anything like either of these things happen while they were taking it?
Avatar n tn She takes one pill that is .01 or .1 mg at bed time to help her sleep because she gets a little extra energy when the Concerta wears off at night. The Clonadine helps her sleep, helps the Concerta work during the day and has helped a bit with her appetite. My 1 year old still eats regardless, just less than she does when she doesnt take her meds. They are both very thin so I still worry about it as their mother, but their doc doesnt seem to worry at all.
1756970 tn?1314376733 hi ok i was put on concerta 36mg about 2 weeks ago and weened off of zoloft 200 mg and put on at the same time 10 now 20 mg of celexa. the first week i was feeling great!! was finally sleeping well, woke up energized and moods were stable. than this week i went down hill. i felt like i was on crack all day!! my brain was foggy, yet overstimulated. couldnt interpret what people were wanting from me. i heard them but just panic mode set in.
Avatar f tn One in particular gave him a migraine that landed us at the ER and him getting an MRI. The adderall, at 25 mg, has not affected him at all with adverse symptoms. He sleeps well, eats well, etc. Perhaps, Concerta at this high of a dose, has made the drug "not right" for him anymore since he has developed new tactile, crying, etc symptoms. I would make an appointment with the doctor and discuss these new symptoms. He could be developing depression because of these new symptoms.
1031310 tn?1259857386 Since then he has told me every time he hears the voice and that was alot.I took him off his concerta 27 mgs until his dr. could see us.I am worried he is suffering in his learning at school with out meds, but the voices seem to be comimg alot less without the meds. The dr. wants to put him on stratara in about a week.I have to do something to help him, please what do you suggest???
Avatar f tn Hello, I lost 15 pounds over the last 3 months. I'm taking Concerta (36 mg- twice per day), Tecfidera (240 mg twice per day) and Brintellix (10 mg). I have no appetite and when I eat everything tastes awful. Concerta and Brintellux are more effective for me versus Modnafinil and Cymbalta. However, I can't afford to lose anymore weight. Additionally, I'm only sleeping about 3 hours per night due to trips to the restroom.
5757880 tn?1395578022 Hi Everyone! I have a 10 year old son who is diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety, SPD/IPD and rule out of Asperger's/PDD in 2013. Currently, we have him on Methylphenidate ER 30mg per day, but lately we have been noticing issues. Mind you, the school hasn't been very helpful this year with information on how he is doing so I can only go by the vague messages received... the first 6 months, they say he was great!
Avatar f tn And as with you, he takes Ritalin at 2 pm as well. Then about 6 pm, he takes ristpordol and clonidine. As for the dosage of Concerta, he takes 27 mg, and Ritalin he takes 15 mg. Thank you for ur advice.... much appriciated.
Avatar m tn His pediatrcian has put him on 56 mg of Concerta with an addicional 19 mg while at school and 10 mg after school so we can get through homework. We recently started seeing a psychatrist and he said the school meds are way too high and should only take at most 56mg for school. He seemed ok on the higher dose. What should I do?
Avatar m tn Concerta comes in 18,27,36, and 54 mg in the US.
