concerta

708731 tn?1229049180 I would look at the birth control pill in relation to your thyroid medication and disease, and also the consequences of mixing the birth control and the Prozac. You may find that switching birth control will allow for treatment other than Prozac. Just a thought, but I think it has merit. Keeping up on your bloodwork and getting stable at the correct level is the best medicine. If Prozac helps short term, go for it. I'm taking xanax.
Avatar n tn interactions between prozac and fentanyl. My husbands meds were recently doubled. Prozac now 40mg and fentanyl 50mcg. and he is now talking in his sleep every night and constantly scratching at himself in his sleep.
Avatar f tn t have adverse interactions, benzos are not only often but usually used with antidepressants. However, the dose will depend on the individual, and so will the drug. Prozac is one of the easier drugs to stop taking -- the one he's taking and the way he's taking it will make it possibly very hard to stop taking.
2083581 tn?1332307861 Ritalin is the only drug that has ever helped me but when it wears off I am depressed again. (and I have tried Concerta and did like it) Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn We now switched him to concerta (lasts longer than focalin)...and added Prozac. Teacher really likes the results at school. However...evenings are hectic. He becomes very silly and immature. Often displaying autistic like behaviors--flapping hands, grunting, weird noises etc. Demeanor is relatively happy and giggly....Before just on ADHD meds...the withdrawal he was very angry and aggressive. He takes clonodine to sleep. But is very amped up at night. Could this be a side effect?
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with PVC's 15 years ago and was put on Metoprolol 25 mg. I've now been diagnosed with depression and was prescribed Prozac 10 mg which I'm afraid to take now because of the drug interactions I've seen on the internet with these two drugs. Can I run into problems by combining these two drugs.
232328 tn?1207090071 m not really sure if this helps but I used to be on a maintenance dose of Prozac at 60mg. As for drug interactions, I really couldn't say. You might want to try googling the drugs to get their websites and check for drug interactions there. I know when I was on Prozac I did take a lot of different meds without any problems though I'm not sure about the rest. Hope this helps a little bit.
Avatar n tn My main concern now is that they (his doctor and mother) have elevated his drug regimine to include 3 drugs that have known interactions with each other, 1 (Concerta) that is known to potentially cause sudden death, and 2 (Clonidine and Zolpidem) that are not recommended for children. Although Strattera does have some potential side effects, I believe it is by far the safest.
Avatar n tn I just got off prozac after being on it a year,Im still on wellbutrin sr 150 mg twice a day and thyroid meds and hormones...has any one tried any of these supplements? And do you know if they are safe to take with wellbutrin sr?
266195 tn?1215310411 I'm currently taking xanax, and will start prozac tomorrow. Does anyone know of any possible interaction between xanax and prozac taken together? My doctor says he's not aware of anything, But I just wanted to get some opinions from people who may have first hand knowledge or know of someone who does. So I guess do benzos and ssri's mix well? I really need the xanax untill the prozac can kick in.
Avatar n tn If birth control is helping mood swings, the problem is likely hormonal, and Prozac doesn't address that issue. If she's been on the meds for as long as you say, it's unlikely to cause nausea now, unless she started the birth control recently. Personally, I wouldn't want a 15 year old to be taking birth control -- playing with hormones is probably not the healthiest thing to do for anyone, other means of birth control are safer for health.
962875 tn?1314210036 This is absolutely wonderful information that should be printed for each person on tamoxifen! Drug interactions are so important and if you're taking one thing that's stopping the other from working properly, you need to know it and make changes! Great job!!!!!
Avatar f tn I'm taking Prozac 30 mg and I've been prescribed Buspirone 15 mg for anxiety. I'm super paranoid about medication in general, but I also have vistaril 50 mg for anxiety. I've scared myself silly looking up medicine interactions. The chance of getting seratonin syndrome is absolutely horrifying to me. How rare is it? Should I cut the buspirone in half? Or should I just take the vistaril and forget the buspirone all together?
Avatar m tn i finally goggled my meds on drug interactions and all these were MAJOR drug interactions causing something called serotonin syndrome or serotonin toxity...this can be fatal and i felt like i was going to die...THIS IS OF NO CONCERN IF YOU ARE NOT ON OTHER MEDS WITH SEROTONIN....BUT BE AWARE THAT COUGH MEDS and other over-the-counter meds can interact in a milder way (i guess....
2094297 tn?1345389093 One needs to consider which antidepressant may work best depending on your circumstances, what dosage to take, if it needs to be started at a lower dose and gradually increased, drug interactions, side effects, and more. If I were you, I would call the doctor tomorrow and be very assertive about getting seen ASAP, like tomorrow. They should respond to calls and, if they cannot, then they should have another doctor available to handle the calls. I copied what drugs.
Avatar f tn Three weeks ago, the Psychiatrist added in Intuniv...OH MY GOSH...the Concerta and Intuniv were PERFECT....Great days at school and an amazing kid emerged...Then at the end of two weeks he developed a tic...This was so horrible...They were happening about 12 - 16 per minute. raised eyebrows, eyes rolling to back of the head, head tilt to the side and a humming sound. We called Psych. and Concerta was stopped. However a week later, the tics are still here...not as frequent...
Avatar f tn I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.
Avatar f tn For this reason you should always tell your doctor about all the medicines you are using, including herbal remedies and those bought without a prescription, since drug interactions can occur with these too. I hope this helps...remember to always go to the same pharmacist and the same dr. If you go to different doctors make sure they know exactly what you are on ...this could be very dangerous if you mix meds and the doctors don't know the full history.
Avatar m tn ve been prescribed a generic version of adderall 10mg once a day. From what I read this is amphetamine. My prescription ran out and I used a concerta my concern is if I have a urine test or hair follicle test will the methylphenidate in the concerta show up? Concerta is not my prescribed medicine.
Avatar f tn Hello all! I have had attention problems since icould remember. Im 24 now. But only in the year or so I've realized that it has actually caused a lot of problems study wise for me. I feel constantly bored or loos interest in the smallest tasks and tend not to sleep allot because it feels like I can't switch the conversations off in my head. I only really realized that my behavior was a bit odd, when my friend kept telling me that I walk around and interrupt allot of people in class.
Avatar f tn My psychiatrist, who I see every 2 months, is starting me on Lithium low dose (300 MG/day) and he said it could have interactions with some of my heart meds, lasix in peticular, but didnt go into much detail and said things should be fine. I dont see my cardiologist for another 2 months, and my GP till January 4th (I see him every two weeks). I am extremely nervous about taking the lithium without knowing anything about it and how it can interact with the lasix or other meds.
Avatar f tn There're few web sites that shows "drug interactions", and "drug/herb/food interactions" ...do a search online for words in " ",I am sure you'll find your answers.....if not, please feel free to message me and I'll send you a link.
Avatar n tn Potential side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, headache, and nervousness. Because the combination of chlordiazepoxide and alcohol (ethanol) may impair your judgment and/or reflexes, it may be dangerous to drive or to perform tasks which require you to be alert after taking these together. It would be advisable to avoid consuming alcohol while you are taking chlordiazepoxide.
