My son is 6 and is also diagnosed with autism at first they said he was adhd and bipolar but just recently they changed that diagnoses to just autism they said there was no need for a adhd diagnoses because most autistic kids also have all the adhd symptoms as well.
My child is 8 years old and when he went into first grade he was diagnosed with ADHD the first year he went on Concerta i thought that he was doing well the highest dose we had him on was 36mg now about two month ago the doctor thought we should switch him to Vyvance to give him a longer affect we went from 30mg to 50 mg and then back to 30mg i have told the doctor my concernce about this medicine he has mood swings he does not seem to enjoy the thing that he usallaly does like going outside to

MY DAUGHTER HAS ADHD AND ODD, CONCERTA GAVE HER TICS AND FINALLY I FOUND A GREAT DOCTOR AND SHE TOOK HER OFF STIULANTS AND THEY ARE ALL GONE SHE IS NOW ON TENEX AND IS A NEW CHILD. SOMETIME IT IS JUST TRIAL AND ERA TILL YOU FIND THE RIGHT DRUG, AS YOU COULD SEE WITH MY DAUGHTER, AND BELIEVE ME WE TRIED ABOUT 10 OR MORE TILL WE GOT IT RIGHT.
i have adhd and have been on concerta for 8 years and i have had many symptoms from it. while on the medication i had loss of appitite,headackes,soreness,mood swings,thoughts of suicide,couldnt fall asleep, depression,and anger. but when i try to come off of it i suddenly became very hungry all the time, weak feeling,and couldnt control myself at all. what is causeing this to happen and how can i make these symptoms stop so i can finally come off my medication?any info is appreciated.
FINALLY I SEEN THE LIGHT AFTER WE STARTED GOING THREW GOD AWFUL MOOD SWINGS AND AGRESSIVNESS AND RAGES. I STARTED WEINING HER OFF OF THEM YESTURDAY NOW THAT SHE GOES INTO VIOLENT RAGES AND I CANT EVEN TAKE A SHOWER WHEN IM ALONE WITH HER CAUSE I DONT KNOW WHAT SHE IS GOING TO DO. I CANT TAKE HER IN PUBLIC CAUSE SHE GOES INTO RAGES, SHE BEGGED ME LAST NITE TO FIND A GUN AND SHOOT HER. ALL I DO IS CRY FOR MY LITTLE GIRL TO COME BACK TO ME.
Prior to that I had had periodical depression as well mood swings since the age 12 and through out the years I was prescribed all sorts of anti-depressant medication as well as ECT and vagus nerve implant, none of which made any substantial difference to my mood disorders . The last medication I tried was Olanzapine which after the first two months or so made things a lot worse and my depression became permanent even after I stopped taking Olanzapine.
These are typical side effects froom withdrawls of that type of medication (amphetamine, methylphetamine) or stimulants. If a patient is used to being on a stimulant drug for some time, withdrawing that drug would cause a general slowing down of the body, hence the extreme fatigue, lack of motivation and focus. Your body is going through an increased response of side effects from withdrawl, as you've been of this medication for a year which is why your symptoms may be more exaggerated.
I am a 23 years old woman and I have been struggling with mood changes what seems forever. I've never felt "normal", whatever this means. I have never reacted to some sorts of situations the same way other people do. Since I can remember everything starts pretty much like this: I am full of energy, felling extremely well about myself and I usually get a load of things to be done that is above heavy.
You are most def not alone! I sat at my desk at work and cried ALL day yesterday. I'm only 5 weeks and I hope that it gets better b/c I'm going through a lot of tissue. I just joined this site yesterday and I have found the the women on here are so supportive and full of good advice which has helped me a lot in the past 24hrs. Whenever I feel like I'm about to cry or get upset, I just log on and reach out to someone who knows what I'm going through (another pregnant woman).
Haha omg. We talk about everything from the beginning about being pregnant. And all week he just, drives me up the wall! And I'm really sarcastic and mean, it just flows out.. then two seconds later I'm like "oh my god baby I'm really sorry I didn't mean it I love you" hahaha! He understands but I feel bad... hoorrmoonnesss.
I am six weeks and i am crying and sad over small stuff. Been trying to potty train my two yr old with not much luck. I think that might be part of it. Is this normal to have so early and what can i do to help work through it?? Also will this mean that i will have postpartum after the baby comes? I was fine last time during and after.
But my fiance has been very understanding and just brings up stuff about our baby and my mood goes from a ad and mad to excited and happy. So now I just think about my little baby boy and how I can't wait to hold him and hear his first words and everything whenever I'm getting moody. You could try that. I hope that helps a little.
Lately I have been getting mood swings which result mostly in fights or money... my boyfriend says I've lost my personality and I'm not the same person I was before... any stories from mom on how there man feels about this same or different?? And any suggestions on how to make him understand my bodies changing and not me??
