concerta and dry mouth

Hey, I was prescribed generic 10mg Adderall 1x per day by my psych, but when I tried it I felt slightly dizzy with ear stuffiness (the type when you fly on airplanes) accompanied by sharp, inner ear pain (in both ears). This lasted about 1.5 months. Is there anyway to reduce this while taking adderall, and what could it be caused by?

i felt tired but unwilling to goto bed and i wake up with dry mouth. Is any of this related to the medication i was on or is it indeed apnea? I really havent had this problem before... last 2 nights i felt as tho i had a bubble stuck in my stomach and it couldnt get out no matter how many times i burped... its kinda gone away since ive been eating more (went without dinner tuesday) when i get home from school i feel tired and want to nap but cannot keep one of my eyes closed...

i'm on concerta and a sleepin medicine and my doctor said that she can not put me on something for deprssion and for adhd...so maybe you shouldn't take both at the same time..some medication make your mouth dry be sure to drink plenty of water so you don't get dehraited..if your on add meds then it could have some side effects..mine makes me where i can't just sit and relax but i'm very focused on my school and other things...

I have been having urinary problems the past 3 months. I took 5 different antibiotics for UTI's, i've had a transvaginal ultrasound, pelvic exam, and everything said I was fine. I have been feeling better, but every now and then, I have this tingling feeling in my groin area, and it is very uncomfortable and will last for days, then go away.

My son was on concerta and adderall and they both can cause seizures. I would ask doctor to you for an egg and make sure you are not having seizures.Witch is a side effect to concerta and can not be reversed .They can only give you medicine to try and control the seizures. I wish we had never put my son on these medicines.

I have difficulty swallowing (especially breads and heavy foods) but I do not feel like I have a dry mouth or anything. I cannot sit still - always have to shake some part of my body or be fiddling with something... The reason for my questions is... is it normal to have so many side effects? And should I tell my doctor how much they are bothering me again? I am worried that if reduces the medication that I will crash or be worse off mentally than I was.

First, I had a dry nose and mouth throughout the entire 48 weeks and also for a month and a half after finishing Tx. At times my mouth was so dry I could not swallow, especially at night. My nose was also dry and crusty inside. Disgusting. Hope you are not eating, LOL. I measured my water and, in order to get the 1 gallon a day (4 liters), I was constantly drinking, day and night. Three weeks ago, the Psychiatrist added in Intuniv...OH MY GOSH...the Concerta and Intuniv were PERFECT....Great days at school and an amazing kid emerged...Then at the end of two weeks he developed a tic...This was so horrible...They were happening about 12 - 16 per minute. raised eyebrows, eyes rolling to back of the head, head tilt to the side and a humming sound. We called Psych. and Concerta was stopped. However a week later, the tics are still here...not as frequent...

Your doctor contacts the company and will probably get some paper work for you and then you and he fill that out. Concerta is generic so it throws a monkey wrench into this but you could try to work with the original manufacturer of brand name concerta. Otherwise, generics are typically not as dreadfully expensive. Are there any job opportunities on the horizen that offer insurance? good luck (make sure you are seeng a psychiatrist for your comorbid conditions).

I have been everywhere on the web and here and nothing seems to fit, until i did some research and saw that dry mouth is sympotmatic of diabetes. Can anyone shed some light? Its more of an inconvenience than anything else. I can still swallow, doesnt affect taste, throat isnt sore, sleeping is not a problem. During the medicine for the reflux I start to have dry mouth and toothache . The toothache went off after 2 weeks and dry mouth is start around .My tongue started to have strange and irradiated feeling like scalding tongue and the upper wall of my mouth also have irradiated feeling . Now I start to have bloated stomach .I really don't know what the main cause of this . Is it anxiety ,reflux or other illness .

Then I started oil pulling bc I looked up dry mouth and throat and some pretty weird things came up. Like sorts of gum disease. Oil pulling helps kill and pull all the toxins out of your mouth. I'm much better now. Still a little dry but I can sleep. Then about my hip (left side) I started stretching (the best I could lol) and made sure I had lots and lots of back,belly and leg support which really helped. I am a 47 year old woman with terrible dry mouth. I have had several tests and the doctor can't find anything in the blood tests. This is miserable! Could this be a symptom of perimenopause and is there some type of medication that could help? I have tried many over the counter remedies and nothing seems to help.

Yea I have dry mouth and nose. I was getting a bloody nose bcuz it was dry. Try using a humidifier.

Is it actually the feeling of being thirsty or just having a dry mouth? If your mouth is feeling dry try sucking on a hard candy or swishing your mouth out with water or mouthwash. If you feel like you are dehydrated unless you drink that much water that warrants a visit with the doc. As coffeebuzz said that can be an indicator of many different issues including diabetes or kidney issues to name a few. How often are you using the bathroom?

I did some research for you and found out that dry mouth can be a symptom of opiate withdrawal. I read that you can suck on ice cubes, chew gum or mints BUT it will pass with time. There is also special toothpaste for those with excessive dry mouth.

t seem to get rid of my thirst. I will drink. Until. My stomach hurts and I still feel dry. I hardly ever drink enough and when I am pregnant I try to drink enough and the way I know I am drinking enough is that I won't be thirsty. I just wish that I did not feel like I am thirsting to death. I even feel light headed and dizzy. And tired which is normal this early in pregnancy but it makes me feel like I am really thirsting to death. Glad to know I am not the only dried out pregnant woman.
