hi, concerta ,and stratara, and all the others my doc put me on didn't come close to adderall. focalin worked to but was costly. adderall leavels your brain, and lets you be yourself. the way your supose to be.

t imagine very many people taking three different drugs that all target serotonin receptors at the same time. Celexa and Lexapro are essentially the same drug, with Lexapro being Celexa with some of the molecules cut out. This is weird indeed. I wonder why the Zoloft wasn't tried at a more therapeutic dose instead of layering on the same kind of drugs.

I was just diagnosed with an autoammune disease and don't want to take plaquenil just yet. Doctor said to take celebrex and a muscle relaxer. I have been taking 1 mg of xanax for 3 weeks and before that it was about twice a week as needed. I was having such anxiety and sleep issues rhemy said to take it every day. Now 3 weeks later she wants to try the new coctail of celebrex and muscle relaxer.

I will only add one thing to Ryan's otherwise very good post. People do have different reactions to different drugs, even to Celexa and Lexapro or Pristiq and Effexor. While it's true the companies are trying to keep a patented product in their lineup, Lexapro seems to have fewer side effects than Celexa, but many people do find one or the other works better. Same probably with Pristiq and Effexor. But to prescribe both at once is insane.

I still ahve anxiety, my doctor gave me Celexa which is okay, my question is, is it okay to take Xanax and Celexa together? I used to take Xanax too for panic attacks, and for now I know it will make me feel better. Does anyone know if they can be taken together? I have never been hooked on Xanax at all, so that is not a problem.

Recently bought a few supplements from Innate response, it was Multivitamin, probiotics and Adrenal response. I take all supplements in the morning together with celexa. I´ve been eating the supplements for 3 days now and I feel a lot more energy but I feel upstressed some how, like the feeling when I had maxdose on Celexa. faster pulse, more quick with toughts. I´ve thinking if it interact with celexa?!? Or should I take the supplements to lunch/dinner instead of morning?

I currently take celexa and clonazepam for depression and anxiety. Is it safe for me to take extra strength tylenol with the clonazepam.

i am about to try going back on concerta 36mg and see if it will help. i also have depression and am starting a new med called celexa. any info will help. thanks!! not sure what i should be looking for in healthy changes.

thanks my dr is weening me off of setraline and putting me on celexa. i hope this doesnt cause weight gain or increased appetite and i am also starting concerta for my adhd. phew i hate taking all these fricking meds. ugh~!

I took celexa and methadone together without incident ....im really surprised the methadone doctor prescribed the clonapine....most clinics are dead set agents the use of benzos and methadone together ....at the time of induction I was on xanex and the clinic use to pitch a fit every time a u/a came back positive for it....I would always have to get a letter from the prescribing doctor stateing that it would be ok to take both at the same time...

I have been left with a family practice and a Dr. I do not know very well. Last month after getting on Celexa for a return of the panic attacks, he asked me to stop by the lab for some blood work. When I got the statement it was over 3 thousand dollars. He had ordered ten single drug class tests among other things. He never mentioned the tests beforehand. I wouldn't have felt so violated. He said the tests were routine for anyone taking a controlled substance.

It's making you what???did you mean black out? Ummmm, what I think is that your overmedicated. 1mg is my max dose for the day and that's a lot! taking that 3 times a day is too much.. Anyone will tell you that. Don't try to just stop taking it either - your body is physically dependent on Xanax at this point. I know because my body is dependent on the 1mg/day. Benzos are weird drugs.

You drinking is basically undoing anything the Celexa is trying to do. Alcohol alone will make you feel very depressed and anxious for days following a binge. The Celexa is trying to work, but doesn't have a fighting chance at that point. Not to mention, you shouldn't be drinking with this medication anyway...that's a given. Really, your best bet is to stop drinking all together. It is just going to exacerbate any depression and anxiety you may have.

My daughter is nearly 11 years old and has been taking Concerta (now on 36mg) since March. The doctor recommended a switch to Strattera for the reason that it works 24 hours (Concerta is effective for only 12 hours) and will help my daughter concentrate more. I have no idea whether Strattera is a better alternative, can anyone tell me if this is true?

12 to 14 hours for Vyvanse and 8 to 10 for Concerta. Thats very close to all day coverage and not necessary. Second, they are of two different chemical classes. Concerta is a methylphenidate based medicine, while Vyvanse is an amphetamine based med. Usually you go to an amphetamine based because your methylphenidate is not working for you. The only possible reason I can think of to take both would be to turn off your mind at night so you could go to sleep and stay asleep.

Its hard for me because my anxiety is not full blown its that im anxious all day pretty much! A lot of times depression and anxiety come together in a pair. When i went to the ENT i told him my meds and i was was on xanax as a prn at night because i cldnt sleep but to take as needed. The doctor said that my body could get immune to it to where if i stop taking the pills i would be up all night because my body want the pill to sleep.

My son was on concerta and adderall and they both can cause seizures. I would ask doctor to you for an egg and make sure you are not having seizures.Witch is a side effect to concerta and can not be reversed .They can only give you medicine to try and control the seizures. I wish we had never put my son on these medicines.

CeleXa inhibits reuptake allowing more seratonin to be left in the synaptic gap causing the threshold for the nerves firing to be techniquelly less because less has to be delivered for the spark to occur since more is already there and available. I have smoked M. for 2 years and recently started CeleXa. The only thing ive noticed thus far is that I am less affected by the M. now that I am on CeleXa.

Hello, I also have adult ADD and I have tried both Concerta and Vyvanse. My doctor wanted me to try Concerta for a few weeks and I didn't like it at all. It didn't agree with me. It made it feel depressed and NOT motivated to do everyday things. I was on a 36 mg dose and when I went back to my doctor I told him I hated it. He mentioned that there is a new medication called Vyvanse and asked if I would like to try it. With nothing to lose, I said yes. I do like Vyvanse.

I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.

Hi, Your doctor is being smart to not put you on a combination of Adderall and Concerta. They are both nervous system stimulants and together they can cause cardiac events such as a heart attack... How long have you been on the Bupropion? It can take 6-8 weeks to have any effect on your body..but that drug in most cases is not used to treat ADD and studies have proven that its not very effective in treating ADD.

Three weeks ago, the Psychiatrist added in Intuniv...OH MY GOSH...the Concerta and Intuniv were PERFECT....Great days at school and an amazing kid emerged...Then at the end of two weeks he developed a tic...This was so horrible...They were happening about 12 - 16 per minute. raised eyebrows, eyes rolling to back of the head, head tilt to the side and a humming sound. We called Psych. and Concerta was stopped. However a week later, the tics are still here...not as frequent...

Now it may be that since the Diazepam basically slows your brain down and the Concerta speeds it up - that the two when taken together cause your body to react. Because you are still on 3mgs of Diazepam a day. And effectively, its probably more then that due to how long it takes to get out of your system.
