He claimed I would need a whole bunch of lab work for him to even consider giving me prescription (check my liver and STD status, which he claimed are required by his company, Concentra). Does this make sense?

He is not old enough or weigh enough yet to take Concentra. He takes Focalin XR right now. But my doctor has recommended this as soon as he gains more weight and I believe he can take this when he turns 8. I have heard good things about Concentra from other people that I know. Their kids are 8 and 11. I didn't want to consider medicating my child either. But as my son became worse, I felt I had to give it a try, but for his sake as well as the rest of my family.

ve been taking a stimulant called Focalin XR for a couple years for extreme daytime sleepiness ( narcolepsy) before that I was on concentra. Before that focalin, before that adderall and the first one I took was nuvigil. Focalin seems to work the best however, I cannot rember how I was before all this medication. It has only gotten worse. The medication for anxiety and depression has helped slightly. I've been on it for a little over 3 weeks I think.

Good morning, I am just curious about the care you have received after decompression surgery. My decompression surgery was Nov. 5th, so I am about 5 months post op. I am fortunate that my diagnosis was very quick, and after my family dr. ordered my MRI, I was sent straight to a NS. As far as I know, I do not have any other issues. I saw a regular NL once to confirm the Chiari, but I didn't like him at all. I guess I am feeling like my NS isn't listening to me.

This is because I go on monday down to London (UK) to spend several days in a specialist autonomic unit under the care of Prof. Mathias having various tests to see if they can find out anymore about my illness and maybe a cause to my POTS. I know I had one at 35 weeks with my daughter but that's bc the Dr felt she was breach.
