Avatar m tn Thank you so much for your opinion. I respect your opinion for the amount of experience that you have. Thank you again, I don't think I will be having any extracurricular fun besides my girlfriend for a long time. I will take your advice and I wont get screened.
758493 tn?1271611163 He is not old enough or weigh enough yet to take Concentra. He takes Focalin XR right now. But my doctor has recommended this as soon as he gains more weight and I believe he can take this when he turns 8. I have heard good things about Concentra from other people that I know. Their kids are 8 and 11. I didn't want to consider medicating my child either. But as my son became worse, I felt I had to give it a try, but for his sake as well as the rest of my family.
Avatar m tn I then proceeded to drive to the job i was on thinking i could work the kink out of it, bu as i tried to climb out of the truck i could bare no weight on my left leg or back. i came back to the yard and was sent to Concentra. and told the doctor what was wrong. 1. my lower back is in extreme pain. 2. I can't straiten my leg out cause it sends a sharp pain to my lower spine. So he then asked me what doctor i go to for back pain and what do i know about back pain.
Avatar f tn ve been taking a stimulant called Focalin XR for a couple years for extreme daytime sleepiness ( narcolepsy) before that I was on concentra. Before that focalin, before that adderall and the first one I took was nuvigil. Focalin seems to work the best however, I cannot rember how I was before all this medication. It has only gotten worse. The medication for anxiety and depression has helped slightly. I've been on it for a little over 3 weeks I think.
Avatar f tn Trying to decide names with someone who thinks Jarvis, Jessup, and Jimothy are funny suggestions is enough to make any sane woman scream.
472576 tn?1210868917 i took the sleep md last night , i slept like a baby. Not sure if it was because I had only 2 hours of sleep the night before and then cried all day (yea, I had a pity party yesterday) lol. But I'm taking the other one tonight so I'll see if it was just my own body letting me sleep last night or if it was from the sleep md. Update tomm.
Avatar n tn I am 30 years old and I had an episode of wet MD in my left eye almost a year ago. With one injection of Avastin we were able to halt the vision loss. My vision went from 20/60 back to 20/25 and has been at 20/25 for about 6 months. I feel very blessed by GOD. I go back for check ups every 8-12 weeks and he says things look stable. My question is, what is the typical time that this stays "stable". What are the chances of my other eye developing problems.
4987347 tn?1361974337 Has anyone had success with finding a good doc in Baltimore, MD that will look at symptoms, T3 and T4 - not just TSH. Thanks for being such a great message board!
Avatar n tn Usually if you have significant, new macular degeneration changes, you will see it if you are monitoring your vision carefully. You have already experienced wet AMD in the other eye so you have some idea personally what some of the symptoms are. Currently with your right eye you could have vision changes from multiple possibilities including dry eyes, cataract, or macular degeneration just to name a few.
Avatar f tn hi, my husband and I are wanting to start a family soon. His mother had MD and passed in her early 40s, his father doesn't have MD but one his sister does, whilst the other sister doesn't. My husband was tested at birth and he didn't have Md. He is now 24, is there a high chance our children will have MD?

Avatar f tn I had a midwife for my first baby and I'd never choose an MD as a replacement.
Avatar f tn I am afraid I do not know anything about a DO's qualifications. I have an MD who is my primary care physician but he essentially refuses to touch anything MS related. It gets complicated for me in that repect, if I have an issue that seems MS related I go see my neuro if not I go see my GP. I ran into an issue earlier this year that my neuro felt was not MS, so I went to my GP and he said it was MS related and a few months later my symptoms are a lot better so who knows?
Avatar m tn I have been on percocet and soma for years and never had a problem with MD giving the meds to me.. I move around a lot..but I have all my med records and operative reports...anyways I have moved and am saying where i am for a bit...my new GP will not given me any meds that i have taken for years....what should i do about that?? the GYN that is doing my surg is not a regular MD he is mostly for reproduction problems so after surg he will stop seeing me when my post op care is done...
295767 tn?1240188314 I hope everyone is looking forward to the spring and enjoying a little sunshine. I wanted to post an update since I just got back from MD Anderson. Just to recap, we sat down with my oncologist in Boulder to discuss what would be the next plan of action after finding out I still had active cancer cells around my stomach. My gyn/onc who performed the 2nd look surgery suggested I receive 3-4 more doses of IP chemo which was infused directly into my intestines/stomach.
