rehab

1589929 tn?1310066922 Well anyway, I was wondering if anyone has been into outpatient rehab for this or is they know of any places that have outpatient benzo rehab programs? In patient rehab is just not possible for me now, for one I'm not a drug addict like so many of the sites say about people who are addicted and or dependent on benzos, so I wouldn't be comfortable around people who had like cocaine, heroine addictions etc.
Avatar m tn I can only speak of my rehab, but it was a 6 week outpatient facility and the cost was about 7 grand. Best money I've ever spent. Inpatient rehabs are much more expensive, naturally.
Avatar f tn less than two weeks later, I was told that they plan to discharge him on 1/31/08 and that he will need to go to a skilled nursing facility. The only help they offered in finding a facility is to go to www.medicare.gov and search nursing home comparisons. The issue I have is that none of the nursing homes actually mention rehab. My dad has a great attitude and is working hard at his therapy sessions.
317822 tn?1223241475 Once you are done with detox, they will help set you up on some continuing aftercare activities. Like an inpatient rehab, or outpatient rehab, a psychiatrist to follow your meds etc. that kind stuff. Hope this helps?
Avatar m tn I know that our area (Louisiana) has an intensive outpatient treatment facility which I really don't know how they do? They claim, you can still go to work, school, family, etc... and not miss a beat! One of my 24 yr old son's friends just went last week, and was banging on my sons door 2 days later. They put him on suboxone. I'm not sure for how long, or what dose, but all of his pains and anxiety went away the second he put that strip in his mouth.
Avatar m tn t do them ALL the time (except for weed). He thinks he needs an actual mental health facility, rather than rehab. What WOULD be the most appropriate setting for my brother to receive help? Thank you!
Avatar m tn The cardiovascular surgeon met with us before her surgery and told us the 80-ish aged patients of his that do the best as far as maintaining their independence, etc. go to a rehab facility (extended care type) for about 4 weeks after the hospitalization for strengthening, before starting an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation exercise program.
Avatar f tn After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?
Avatar f tn I have been in outpatient rehab for 2 weeks now since being pulled over for a DUI. I am going voluntarily right now and have been sober since the 6th of July when it happened. I went to the bar with friends last night and only drank soda. My parents flipped out. I am 30 years old and understand the huge mistake that I have made. This is not something I'm going to do all the time, but since everything happened I'm working 2 jobs and putting in 10 hours of rehab. . .
Avatar f tn Thanks for the comments, I think I will look into an outpatient facility because I'm not addicted to the Xanax, I'm more dependent on it.
Avatar m tn She is about to be moved from the ICU into the general neuro ward and we have been told that soon she we will need to select a rehab facility. I have been told that a rehab facility that specializes in brain injuries would be better than a general rehab facility and have also been told that the more her loved ones can visit and spend time with her the better. That presents a dilemma for us.
Avatar f tn Inpatient Rehab or Intensive Outpatient rehab. I am in a foreign country right now so I have to wait about two months until I can begin whatever treatment I end up choosing. I am so ready to get clean. It so very hard to taper myself off when I have basically an unlimited supply. I know I need to do something. I am lucky enough to have great parents who have told me that I can go to any type of treatment anywhere I choose.
Avatar f tn she wants to go home and the doctors want her to go to a nursing facility for a week. My sister would be giving her 24 hour care. How dangerous is this condition and should she have 24 nursing care?
Avatar n tn Nikki, my husband was in an inpatient rehab center for 3 weeks. It would have been 4 weeks but he didn't like it there so I took him out a week early. He then went to outpatient rehab 3 days a week, for two months. He never had to have a trach, though. He is able to walk. It was about 8 weeks after the stroke that he could walk and that was with a walker.
974989 tn?1248225878 I am at a loss with myself and need some help. I am scared sick to tell my doctor or to call an outpatient facility or anything because I'm worried it will jeopordize my childrens well being. I'm afraid if any authority knows of my problem they will take my angels from me. I could not survive but fear if i do not quit this use right away I will not survive either, I just am seeking advice from someone who has been in this position and been successful.
Avatar m tn I also reccommend contacting your primary care doctor and if you feel he is not taking you seriously you may want to contact a rehab facility for an assessment. I know that sounds extreme. I myself, was drinking a bottle of wine a day and it was reccommended I enter a treatment program because the withdrawals can cause seizures and may affect your blood pressure if you have been drinking for any length of time.
5549258 tn?1449083082 I have my appointment made for Tuesday for five days at a local rehab facility. I am very nervous about this I'm also going to quit smoking cigarettes and they give me a nicotine patch. I am up to two oxy 30s a day. I tried to quit yesterday and I thought I was going to die. This is the time for rehab.
341953 tn?1209481891 i wanted to know if anyone has ever tried outpatient rehab? my friend i have been talking about, that has been battling herion addiction for awhile, decided he would talk to someone about outpatient rehab. i told them that he really need a inpatient, counsleing type rehab but they can't afford it. has anyone had luck with this kind of rehab, being addicted for awhile? thanks everyone....
1200450 tn?1317496867 So I made an appointment with an outpatient rehab facility. I will be seeing a therapist, not a doctor. That is on Wednesday. I will run out of my pills on that day. I know I will need meds such as benzos and blood pressure meds to help me through the first week. I was hoping to get some sleeping pills also. My question is, will I need to make an appointment with my primary doctor to get these pills since I'm only seeing a therapist?
Avatar f tn I need your opinion. I feel desperate. Do you think an outpatient facility can help if you have dysphoric mania (mixed states). I might go in two days and am second guessing myself. With the sate I'm in I just don't know if it will help. I just got over a few boughts of sucidal days happening for 3 days and then again a week later it happened. I almost went to the hospital but was afraid of the meds they would give me. I have had it with meds.
7540527 tn?1401187758 I am definitely shooting for that 30 days! I'm having such strong cravings today though and it's a bit overwhelming. I just need to get passionate about my recovery again! Every treatment facility that's an option for me only does outpatient for meth. I don't see how that would be anymore helpful then daily meetings since the outpatient programs are about 3 times a week for several hours each day.
Avatar f tn Go to an AA "open" meeting, grab a Big book, and a 12 step (guide) and try to use the group to help you quit,> If and when you are ready to do the first step. That is 1) We admitted we were powerless over alcohol, and that our lives have become unmanageable. So many people get through the detox, at home (which can be dangerous and is often done though a medically supervised detox). It's like it's all or nothing.
Avatar m tn So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
501205 tn?1227345442 Yes, I've watched this movie, but not in rehab or detox. It actually won awards for Best Foreign film, but I agree, not a suitable movie to be shown to such an audience. I, personally, thought it was very well done and got it's message across, unfortunately it's also a true story and the problems continue to this day. I'm so glad that you are getting help. I read some of your other posts and I'm just so happy that you are doing what you're doing, now.
Avatar f tn t revived any (for my back since surgeries) so a lot of back and forth with my drs trying to get therapy and noone would do it without my drs signing off on it since its s liability. So I found a rehab facility that does sauna detox and Intensive pt. I hope I come out of this not only clean but stronger. Any advice on inpatient rehab would be greatly appreciated.
