Common Questions and Answers about Complaining nhs

complaining

Avatar f tn ve tried complaining to the patient liason services within the NHS and they were going to proceed to inform my previous doctor who I've had all these problems with. The only thing I can do I guess is say to my new doctors that I'm suffering from subclinical hypothyroidism and to ask if I can be put on a thyroid (T4) medication. How well that'd pan out I'm not sure. Thanks for your advice.
Avatar f tn UK residents, your advice about dealing with the NHS would be greatly appreciated. The problems are described in another thread, "Suitability for monovision" by MandaCope (Nov. 03, 2009).
Avatar f tn I wish people stop complaining about what questions other people post... Either read it or don't! answer it or don't! I know this may seem hypocritical cuz i am doing the same thing right more but whatever! Don't read mine either!
Avatar n tn Hi I am from the UK but currently live in the US so know how both systems work. I would recommend seeing the specialist privately in the UK. It's usually not too expensive and you can be seen within days. For something like your eyes, this is a good investment believe me. In the US, you can see whoever you want......but believe me also when I tell you the bills are scary. Even with insurance! Don't hate on the NHS just yet.
Avatar f tn So since I found out I was pregnant I've been looking on craigslist and eBay to help me find used baby things to buy for the baby, we're on a budget but I want to be able to get my baby what he needs without depending on other people and ever since I started doing that my bf has been complaining.
548021 tn?1214648995 I called the NHS (National Health Service, UK) 10 days ago complaining of pains in the lower abdomen. I have today noticed blood in my stool along with mucas. As I have experienced this before I was alarmed because, although some of it was bright red, parts seemed to be darker. I explained that I have had problems with acid reflux and a possible ulcer, and that I vomited last night. I was told it was probably haemmorrhoids.
1137779 tn?1281542505 I think the NHS has employed aliens as neurologists they are definitely from a different planet than we are. Mine sacked me for complaining about a 5 month wait for tests... sorry who was in the wrong me or him? POMPOUS GIT. Fingers crossed you and the rest of us find a human GP, NEURO OR OTHER to deal with and we get some results.
5894884 tn?1386969571 i live in Leeds and have a nhs dentist you need to phone your nearest nhs dentist and ask if they are taking new patents if there not they will be able to give you a number to call
Avatar m tn What exactly are you looking for?
Avatar f tn I have to wait 2 months for my initial neurology appointment on the NHS. If I paid privately it will cost me something around £200 for a 1 hour appointment. I have £200 which I was saving for something else, and will probably reduce the wait to only 2 weeks. I know that the consultant may not be able to diagnose what may be wrong in the first assessment and it may take many visits, but is it worth the money for possible quicker peace of mind? The 2 month wait is really going to aggravate me.
Avatar n tn I was unconcerned about the chances of HIV until I was told about fake condoms being used in some areas. I had a test at an NHS gum clinic at just over 6 weeks after which came back negative. I am unsure however if I need further testing as I dont know what type of test was used. Can I take this result at conclusive? What is the standard NHS test used?
