Avatar f tn I have had a very strange allergic reaction for the past year and it seems to be getting progressively worse. Almost every time I eat in a restaurant or the kitchen of some people, my nose itches like crazy and gets very stuffy. Sometimes, but not always, my eyes get watery as well. It never happens in my kitchen, and I noticed when I was in San Fransisco a few months ago it didn't seem to happen in restaurants there, or at least wasn't as intense.
Avatar m tn I am a female and almost always sneeze uncontrolably for a few minutes after finishing meals in restaurants. For a long time I thought it was the wine...but drinking wine with meals doesn noot cause me to sneeze at home. Now I wonder if there is some kind of preservative that most restaurants use that might be setting me off. Does anyone else have this problem? Or an idea? This discussion is related to why does my boyfriend sneeze after eating?
541196 tn?1293552936 t feel a great connection with my first endocrinologist and I found another one in the area that is very friendly and thorough. She ordered lots of blood work and a thyroid sonogram. The blood work came back indicating I needed to have a MRI of pituitary gland with and without contrast, but she wanted me to check with insurance on it first. My insurance only covers it if the $2000 deductible has been met first!!!!
649848 tn?1534633700 Hi everybody........ Sorry I didn't post a weigh in thread for a couple of weeks; I was traveling and had very little computer time. I'm back home and trying to get back to "normal", whatever that might be....... So - how has everyone been doing with their weight issues? I did much better than I'd thought I would do traveling, since we, virtually, ate in restaurants for 2 whole weeks.
Avatar f tn I wish people stop complaining about what questions other people post... Either read it or don't! answer it or don't! I know this may seem hypocritical cuz i am doing the same thing right more but whatever! Don't read mine either!
Avatar n tn It is always best to strictly avoid food allergens. Many people with food allergens also need to avoid eating at restaurants or at least certain types of restaurants. Also, steroid inhalers could prevent wheezing episodes. Warm regards.
Avatar f tn m having a difficult time finding restaurants in the Bergen County area (I live in the Pascack Valley) that are allergy-aware and safe. Can you give me some suggestions? I'd love to be able to safely dine out with my family. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Is heat sensitivity part of Chiari? I find myself complaining that restaurants and places with AC are too cold lately. My husband and everyone else in the place are fine, but I'm trying to curl into a ball to get some body heat. Conversely, I can't stand being hot either. For a little over a week, I've been so happy because my nausea and dizziness haven't been too much of a problem. Although, I still don't have much of an appetite..
Avatar f tn It's October 2nd, it's still in the 100's here, and it doesn't show any signs of cooling down any time soon. I'm 28 weeks today. My friend and I took our kids to the pumpkin patch today and it was so hot. I was huffing and puffing and sweating more than a man and then I started to swell in my hands and feet. I'm soooo uncomfortable. I just want it to cool down. Anyone else in this position?
Avatar m tn Seriously, if anyone figures it out post it here! I think there is some preservative in the food that is used at most/all restaurants. Just wish I knew exactly what it is so I could avoid it. This discussion is related to why does my boyfriend sneeze after eating?.
427279 tn?1210919821 My furkid has discovered, aftter living with us for the last year and a ahlf, that his favourite spot in the house, when he's not eating or sleeping, is the bathtub. He's become quite attached to it. LOL There are little muddy kitty prints in there, now, 'cause last time he was in there was right after coming in this morning with dirty feet, right after I'd had a shower.

Avatar n tn I've been dilated at a 6 since last Monday and baby is at station +1. Docs said they thought I would be back within 2 days to deliver because she is so low, and because I'm dilated so far. I wish she would come already! I had to stop working because they thought I wouldn't make it to the hospital in time to deliver...but LO is staying put. I'm burning up all my sick time and I feel just fine...it sounds crazy, but I wish I could go back to work until she arrives...
Avatar f tn So since I found out I was pregnant I've been looking on craigslist and eBay to help me find used baby things to buy for the baby, we're on a budget but I want to be able to get my baby what he needs without depending on other people and ever since I started doing that my bf has been complaining.
Avatar m tn this time around its a boy. my back hurts every once in awhile like 3-4 times a week. it never happened with my girl. this boy is starting to drive me nuts lol always on my bladder. I can't do anything but lay down when my back hurts it hurts to move an inch. and I'm always soo tired and hungry!!
Avatar f tn One of my usual nights eating it, I got sick within roughly 30 min. Like knives in stomach, can’t move, hunched over in pain sick and it lasts roughly 8 hours. I figured I just had a bad one. Went back shortly after, same thing happened. Then decided to change restaurants, same thing happened. Waited monthssss, went back, same thing happened. I’m wondering if I tried it without seaweed if I’d be ok. I can eat fish, rice, shellfish, etc.
Avatar n tn I am assuming you know his carbohydrate to insulin ratio, meaning for every 10-17 carbohydrates a person eats then one unit of insulin is given. I give a range because every person is a little different in how many units of insulin they give for a certain number of carbohydrates. I usually take 1 unit for every 12 grams of carbs--but that is just my body. Next, knowing the amount of carbohydrates in certain foods will help too.
Avatar m tn Zero risk or everyone who goes to restaurants would be infected from HIV positive staff somewhere in the food chain who accidentally dripped some blood in food. HIV is inactivated in air and saliva.
Avatar f tn It depends on where you're dining. If it's fast food, options are pretty slim, but you'd want to opt for fruit and yogurt type things. Breakfast buffet is good, because they typically, provide yogurt, fruits, boiled eggs, and other healthy options. You have to be careful with regular sit down restaurants, because most of the "good" choices are made bad, by cooking in too much fat, using to much sodium, etc.
Avatar f tn here in ireland i have read too many stories of women being asked in restaurants to do it the toilet or someones complaining..no mother should have to sit in toilet to feed her baby, its disgraceful and i would point blank refuse and i would step in if ever i saw a member if staff in any place asking a mother do that..youd think some people never seen a boob before even though most are very discreet about it..
7223533 tn?1397755355 Is anyone else's in laws giving then crap about what you have decided to name your baby. Mine are, I told them why do they feel the need to put their inputs and they said because it's a weird name that we need to name our son Miguel or something more common lol. I told them just because we are hispanic does not mean we have to give our kids hispanic names. They think we are wrong about that.
Avatar m tn Monosodium Glutamate, used in Chinese restaurants, has been linked to arythmias. Studies verifying this are available (International Journal of Cardiology November 2009) on the national data base "PubMed".
