Hi, I'm 16 weeks pregnant and a hairdresser. I have had 2 miscarriages very early on and don't know what to do for the best, this time round I feel great in myself but everyone keeps telling me that I should quit my job because of what I have been through. I have had this job for over 8 years n even though I know maybe I should slow down I don't see why I need to quit. Are there any pregnant hairdressers out there that can give me some advice?
I recently took my 6 yr old to have his haircut, he had headlice which i had removed the night before but he still had little nicks on his head as he had been scratching badly,While the hairdresser was cutting his hair she cut her finger, she stopped what she was doing and put a plaster on but before she had done this i had noticed quite alot of blood running down onto her hand... after putting the plaster on she carried on cutting but i could see that blood had sept through.
I wish people stop complaining about what questions other people post... Either read it or don't! answer it or don't! I know this may seem hypocritical cuz i am doing the same thing right more but whatever! Don't read mine either!
m a hairdresser. If you have to color uour I recommend waiting till after 13 weeks and stretch it as far as you can. But color doesn't hurt it more or less the fumes. Just ask your hairdresser if there is any perms that day I know that makes me light headed.
I live in India and today I went to a local hairdresser. Suddenly a small puppy came from nowhere the puppy spine was heavily wounded. The whole skin was eaten by some animal I think. My hairdresser with good intention went to put phenyl on the wound. During pouring phenyl on puppy it splashed on his hand after hitting dog. And he didn't washed his hand and directly started cutting my hair.

I took my son to get a haircut and the hairdresser nicked his forehead likley with unsterilized clippers. I am so scared they could've been contaminated with blood from previous customers. The hairdresser did not seem to sanitize clippers and I will never take him to get another haircut again. I would rather do it myself than worry like this! Please let me know what to expect. Should I worry?
As a hairdresser myself, it hasnt been proven to harm your baby, although they advise you not too.
My hairdresser put two samples of hair dye behind both of my ears 2 days ago to check for reactions, as I had a bad reaction to a hair dye patch test done before over 2 years ago (I'm so thankful that I did the patch test to begin with!!). So we were checking if this different type of dye would be any different.
But apparently not as I've suffered a pretty bad reaction to both! There is redness, burning sensation and swelling behind both of my ears and it is itchy.
So since I found out I was pregnant I've been looking on craigslist and eBay to help me find used baby things to buy for the baby, we're on a budget but I want to be able to get my baby what he needs without depending on other people and ever since I started doing that my bf has been complaining.
My Dr and hairdresser both said it was fine. However, I just do highlights so the chemicals don't really touch my scalp. Ask your hairdresser if she has any ammonia free low chemical hairdye. Usually the temporary stuff is ok.

In fact I am really worried to get HIV form hairdresser while using hair cut machine or by the dentist if they don’t sterilize effectively the instruments and the other situations like these……..
I will be so grateful if some one reply my questions or introduce a resource to find the answers.
1- Should there be a visible blood to transmit HIV? or HIV infection can be transmitted by very tiny amount that usually can not be seen? Is it enough to wash an infected object (e.g.

ve seen people using the ones for fine hair, thinning hair, etc. Talk to your hairdresser. Any hairdresser would probably answer your question and help you.
