Avatar f tn I wish people stop complaining about what questions other people post... Either read it or don't! answer it or don't! I know this may seem hypocritical cuz i am doing the same thing right more but whatever! Don't read mine either!
Avatar n tn I went to my GP two weeks ago complaining of something feeling like a lump in my throat. He prescribed antibiotics and told me to take the entire course, i did so and the symptoms did not go away so i went back and i was told that the antibiotics would take a few weeks to work.
Avatar f tn So since I found out I was pregnant I've been looking on craigslist and eBay to help me find used baby things to buy for the baby, we're on a budget but I want to be able to get my baby what he needs without depending on other people and ever since I started doing that my bf has been complaining.
Avatar n tn my roommate is complaining of a sharp pain when he breathes in and a tightness in his chest...is there anything that can stop the pain and tightness w/o going to the ER? A little more info: he's 26 and overweight, and i believe he fractured a rib as a child.
Avatar n tn First off a little run through of my past symptoms. I went to my GP complaining of a burning throat and wheezing so i was placed on Omeprazole 20mg and given an asthma pump. A few days ago i went back with a problem swallowing and a dull ache on the left side of my head and (for what seems no reason at all) was placed on Amitriptyline 10mg for 1 month (3 days into the course). I have now discovered around the size of a thumb nail above my ear to the back by around 1cm.
Avatar n tn t ask me to come back for another checkup. I was sent there by my GP after complaining of frequent headache. I was also sent to a neurologist and a psychiatrist. I have no means by which to contact that particular ophthalmologist without a referral from my GP. This is why I asked what sort of disorders could implicate this.
Avatar f tn Due to chronic pain and unable to walk and stand and a variety of other symptoms, I finally got an MRI of my lumbar (I've been complaining of my pain in my sacral though) and they found a tiny CFS cyst. The neurologist suggested Syringomyelia but when it didn't go higher into my thoracic he said it wouldn't be causing me any symptoms (I'm in a wheelchair from pain) and I was fine.

Avatar f tn m a 26-year-old female. I was diagnosed in May with an ESBL E.coli urinary tract infection, after going to the GP complaining of flank pain and typical UTI symptoms. I was given several different antibiotics over the next month or so, all of which did nothing, until I was placed on a two-week course of Nitrofurantoin, which cleared the infection. It did also, however, leave me with nerve damage.

Avatar f tn I have worn hard/GP contacts for 48 years. Have never had a problem until this year when my vision would blur when I blinked. Since they were 12 years old, my doctor recommended new ones. The new ones are cloudy within minutes of putting them in. In addition, after I take them out, I continue to experience the cloudiness when I put my eyeglasses on. Prior to these contacts, I never had a problem switching over to the eyeglasses.
Avatar f tn So glad I went to my GP. She prescribed a dissolvable anti nausea since I have trouble swallowing multiple pills even if I spread them out. And a acid reflux pill so settle my stomach. She did some blood work to test my stomach enzymes so depending on the results she might to Ann ultrasound in 2 weeks to see if I need my gallbladder out. Ugh another surgery.
862235 tn?1336060295 My GP has known for some time about my HCV positive status. He never once thought to refer me to a GI specialist or a hepatologist. I had a lot of the annoyances that HCV+ people are prone to but he never once saw fit to take the bull by the horns and refer me to a specialist. I suffered a heart attack a few years back and was subsequently referred to a cardiologist. He appeared surprised that I had never been seen by a liver specialist.
648910 tn?1290663083 I guess I have not gave up on finding that dx. My counselor recommended a GP he works with. He seems to think that since she, this her first practice, is more likely to have a new perspective on things and to maybe try harder. I don't know. I liked my old GP but he finally said he didn't know what else to do. So today at 3 pm I begin another journey. I hope this one leads somewhere. Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating and to the other have a great weekend.
Avatar f tn So I went to see my GP today, she said since my period came early I'm fine. She also did 2 pregnancy tests. They both said negative. In addition she gave me birth control pills and said it was more anxiety. I just wanted to know if anyone had taken the EC twice in a week or cycle and what affect did it have on the nxt period? Should I expect my period as normal or do I need to keep testing?
Avatar f tn My sister has been complaining of seeing bugs and squirmy things at night when the lights are out, both on her bed, and on the walls. She told her doctor about it, but he said he had never heard about it. Could it be a problem with her eyes? She does take blood pressure meds, could it be caused by them?
Avatar f tn Thankyou very much for your response, I cannot raise my arms above shoulder height else i get alot of pain, but daily there is always a dull ache, thankyou once again i will go see my GP now and see what steps i can take next :)
Avatar n tn You may do better to see an Gastro doc then maybe an ENT about your symptoms. They could indicate esophagitis, GERD, or thyroid issues. If your GP isn't pursuing an answer, find a specialist who will.
209591 tn?1267414714 tingling in my entire body, burning pain, weakness & fatigue in the muscles, stiffness, depression, headaches, major muscle cramps and spasms, a decreased ability to feel pain & heal from it, malaise, frustration, difficulty with memory, concentration & thinking. This patient also exhibits an abnormal babinski reflex (one sided), hyperreflexia, hyporeflexia. On parts of the body this patient has no feeling either. What would you first consider? What tests should be ran?
541303 tn?1216172177 I would get an appointment with your GP to discuss your current issues. Blood in stool should be checked out so you do not become anemic.
