I am current taking 25mcg Cytomel daily in attempt to help with my depression, I had blood taken from my OBGYN this week b/c I was complaining of constant hot flashes and sweating so she wanted to check my hormone levels...my T4 free was 0.32, she has referred me to an endocrinologist. I tried telling her med tech that I was on Cytomel and asked if that would be why it was low but I was just told to see the specialist. I placed a call to my psychiatrist to ask him and still have not heard back.
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 3/07 after complaining for years! My tests in march were tsh .49 (.30-3.00) and free t4 .79 (.80 - ?). The doc has adjusted by dose several times since then. I am currently taking 100mcg of levothyroxine. He adjusted it after my labs in 12/07 which were tsh - .37 and free t4 - .79. Everything I have read points to secondary hypothyroidism. I think I need to see a endo. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

ll start getting tons of offers and free stuff in the mail. From formula to bibs to diapers and even keepsakes. And some of those places like babies r us will send you a coupon to get a discount on everything left on your wish list. Hospitals may give you some stuff too when you pre register with them.
Relax and have fun! Have you tried getting on wic? It's a federal program where U can get free formula/diapers etc if u r below a certain income. Also, breastmilk is free! And u can always find baby stuff at consignment shops and garage sales, good luck and congrats!
t have any insurance and go thru a free/low cost mental health clinic. Google free/low cost mental clinic and follow the links to find a location near you. I see Physc-doc once a month, case worker once a month and get all my medications for $60/mo. Depending upon income, you may qualify for free services. Send me a message if you need help in finding a free clinic in your area....there is help available and you really need to get on your medication.
