Avatar m tn One its not as bad as all these people are saying and although the bible says its a sin the bible also says many things that seem to not fit today as long as it isnt messing with your daily life then there not really a problem. You are kinda young but the truly only way to stop is though will. You just have to not let yourself do it. But its natural and its part of your bodies urges so its really going to come back.........
1935252 tn?1329757119 For those of you, like myself who have been going thru trial and tribulation, and those of us with no support... let any man who is without sin, cast the first stone... can't remember what chapter or verse in the Bible but in 1 Corinthians 31;11 it says "if we would judge ourselves, we would not come onto judgement. Just something to think about... don't know why but the book chapter and verse came to mind and I had to look it up and share with everyone!
Avatar f tn read the bible. and he says it is a sin to call one sin bad and another one good. i am not rationalizing my sin. honeys i brought it to the table. as confession. Showing that i was wrong. not gloating that i did it. All i am saying is i hear so much about people pointing fingers at other people as if they are right about the stuff they do to like one wrong is on is better than another wrong.
Avatar f tn Don't get me wrong, adgal, I do believe the act of homosexuality is a sin because it's pretty clear in the bible. However, again I will stress it's the ACT or the SIN not the person that God has a problem with. The only danger is, like any other sin, people have a tendency to harden their hearts towards God. When someone has completely hardened themselves then they can no longer hear the voice of God. I do believe that this church and many others are acting in hate, not love.
Avatar f tn ...well its a sin to have sex out of wedlock, I mean me and my fiance are getting married but its still a sin and you gotta face not every one will be happy, I believe you can't judge a person for there sin unless you have no sins of your own, but if your a Christian the Bible clearly states every one sins. Maybe explain that to your preacher because yes alot of people judge without looking at there own sins, and if they don't want to be around you now they weren't friends.
Avatar f tn Yes, having a small bite to eat afterward or taking an antacid might help counteract increased release of digestive juices after orgasm. As far as your worry about masturbation, are you aware that almost 100% of males do so & probably close to 80% of females do, although usually less frequently than guys? EVen people in relationships or marriage continue to do it.
Avatar f tn * God is faithful to forgive sin. The Bible assures us that God is always faithful to forgive sin, if asked properly (1 John 1:9): If we confess our sins, He [God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. * The conditional nature of sin forgiveness. When Jesus' disciples asked Him how to pray, He taught what is commonly called “The Lord's Prayer.
Avatar f tn I think you should find another church to attend because technically in the Bible God states Fornication is a horrible sin and having a child is a severe sin. Just like being bisexual or gay is a sin. Churches they preach about living a righteous lifestyle would be a hyprocrite to allow a unwed pregnant woman willing in their church just like allowing a gay couple attend. People may not like the answers but its correct. Im sure there is some not so strict church who will accept your situation.
Avatar f tn He also has stated that he is totally against any SIN against GOD pertaining to the bible. So my concern was, is the right place for me. In his sermons as he preaches, he however lets everyone know that we are all sinners and we all can have salvation no matter what. We are to love the sinners as much or more than the so called saints. He and a large number of my church truly live this message and accept all who come.
1530342 tn?1405016490 s Word has been clear about this for thousands of years both in the Old Testament and the New Testament, God said this is a sin. Your friend is correct in that all sin and temptation comes from the devil. But God says there is hope, a way out, for all who place their hope in Jesus Christ. For those who refuse to do this, the bible will always be an offense to them and they will not understand or accept it.
Avatar f tn I am not trying to be rude, but you should be ashamed of yourself if you were really a Christian and follow the Bible then you would take after Jesus example, he said with prostitutes and ******.
790669 tn?1465189099 I pray daily and ask for forgiveness and thank him for my blessings. To make this as short as possible I was just wondering what the bible says about tattoos. My brother is wanting to get one and of course he's young, he's 27 and my dad is talking about how much of a sin it is and he's not welcome in his house if he does. Can someone please tell me what it says in the bible about tattoos? Thanks in advance.
1126464 tn?1300799701 tbabi20, you bring up a good point. We are supposed to bring to attention a sin to another Christian but in a loving, gentle way. If they won't listen to us the bible says we are to get some of the elders of the church to approach this person. If they won't listen to the elders then they are supposed to be put out of the church to let Satans refine them in the hopes that will make them repent.
306455 tn?1288862071 Remember the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair and chose who they wanted to be there wifes. The Sons of God MAY?? have been the children born before the sin. Cain the bible says went to the land of Nod and knew his wife and she bare a son. He did not go there to get a wife he took her with him and didnt have any children until they went to NOD. Thats a ? that gets asked alot where did cain get his wife, there was people already being born.
973741 tn?1342342773 Yes I agree it is about free will. Free will is actually the "image of God" that we are given. Adam and Eve had free will from creation. They were not robots, they could make choices and decisions themselves. They were only given one rule/commandment, only one tree's fruit was forbidden. When they broke this commandment it meant knowledge of good and evil and immediate separation from God (spiritual death and physical death).
Avatar m tn ) Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works, for if we sin willfully (this is verse 26) if we sin willfully after we have received a knowledge of the truth there remains no more sacrifice for sins but a certain fearful looking forward to of judgment. The Bible doesn’t tell us once we’re saved that we turn from all responsibility of continuing to hold onto God’s hand. Now Jesus will never let go of us, but we can let go of Him.
Avatar f tn / I keep my mouth shut because religion is of course a touchy subject but I'm getting fed up. Her son and I are having this child and we aren't married isn't that a sin her son took part in also. It's just hurtful because that aren't as pure as they yell at me for not being.
Avatar f tn I had the Holy Spirit but now I feel He is gone as I am spiritually dead. I kept sinning and sinning aand having sex not obeying God and still am sinning because I want to have a baby. I want to really stop but I also want to have a baby and get married also. I made a vow to God in heaven and I broke it. immediately I became a reprobate filled with all unrighteousness. I still go to church and pray alot.
Avatar f tn Remember not everyone reads the bible, so I don't think you should try to talk about what the bible sais, I think we're talking about human nature here. Everyone has their own opinion though, some people/couples are more open minded. I'd also stare Beyoncé down if she walked by & wouldn't have a problem with my man looking too lol its human nature, doesn't mean he's going to try & cheat on me with her, just looking.
Avatar f tn Who told you that masturbation is 'nasty'? Is that something your parents or your religious culture taught you? You may not realize it, but 99% of all guys do it, and probably around 80% of all women do it. Young people do it, older folks do it, people in relationships & even married people do it. At one time it was regarded as unhealthy & that only undesirable or mentally deficient people did it, but modern Medicine & Psychology no longer believe that to be the case.
Avatar f tn That account as you saw it in the Bible and quoted in your response, stated how Jesus forgive this woman for her sin and he showed the town people that they should do the same. That's why he asked the people to cast the first stone if they were without sin. Let's not fail to note a very important point in this story. Jesus, after forgiving this woman, told her to go and SIN NO MORE. This meant not to PRACTICE what she was doing again.
206807 tn?1331936184 The church does not single out the homosexual lifestyle when preaching against sexual sins -- as though the Bible rates sin on some scale from one to ten. God rates and rejects all sin equally (lying, adultery, theft, fornication). On the other hand, God has love and compassion for sinners so much so that He sent His son Jesus to die and pay the price for sin so that all could be free from the bondage of sin and receive salvation.
7454812 tn?1391877431 I had the same thing happen to me, we just got a new nightstand from an antique store and there was a Bible in it, I had constant nightmares, got rid of the Bible and had peaceful sleep since. I thought it's because my fiance and I are atheists and have no intention on introducing religion to our child until she's older. I had dreams about people being murdered, genocide, rape... strange how that's all in the Bible.
5764859 tn?1400881756 Prayer truly works. I have prayed for you all. God's hears us and will bring us through. I went through a situation several weeks ago. It wasn't serious but it brought inconvenience. The Lord used that situation to teach me no matter what we go through He is there to bring us through it, if we just believe. He loves us, unconditionally, no matter what. The Bible says, "Faith IS the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen".
377493 tn?1356502149 Or how about the incident in the bible where the prostitute is being pursued by the townspeople and Jesus told them, you without sin cast the first stone? Hate the sin and not the sinner? Or how about this one. Love thy neighbor as thyself. They take a sentence out of context and use it as their weapon of choice, and we wonder how we lose our right to worship that the bible describes? Well we are seeing how, up close and personal.
