Avatar n tn IGENEX, inc palo alto, CA?
Avatar f tn My neurologist referred me just yesterday to the Autonomic Disorders Clinic, Stanford Neuroscience Health Center, 213 Quarry Road, Palo Alto CA 94304, (650) 723-6469.
Avatar f tn Hi, I just saw this, have you decided who to go with? I had a surgery with Dr. Camran Nezhat, look him up, He's in Palo Alto, close to Dr. Cook. I just did my surgery so it's recent, but so far so good.
Avatar n tn IGeneX labs, in Palo Alto CA. They have a website. Your doc is right, IGeneX has a test that looks in your blood for DNA of the Lyme bacteria, instead of (like Western blot and ELISA tests) that look for your immune system's reaction to Lyme bacteria. That is, IGeneX tests look for direct evidence of Lyme rather than indirect evidence. Like in a mystery story: finding the bad guy's boots is better than finding just his muddy footprints.

543118 tn?1240448340 I live in Missouri now. I stayed at Casa Olga in Palo Alto during my rehab. Does Lincoln University in St. Louis have driver's assessment?
Avatar f tn Grasshopper, the first neurologist is the toughest. Trust me, though we accept everyone, the "club" never wants a new member. I'm not sure of my status, how many merit badges to get from Jr. to Full member? It was nice of you to post the outcome of your appointment in a way that acknowledges the difficulty of many, and not just yourself. It was very unselfish, andI hope reflects that you know you are not alone and that we're here for your.
Avatar f tn Dr. Friday also works at the VA in Palo Alto, but you would have to be a veteran to see her there (she does cardiology there, not POTS patients).
Avatar f tn I know this thread was awhile ago but I believe Stanford in Palo Alto does tilt table testing for POTS. They have an Autonomic Dysfunction Program. My son (14) was just diagnosed at Mayo Rochester. I would love to find some support with other parents. This is heartbreaking.
Avatar f tn I thought I was being irrational until I heard about the Hepatitis/HIV scare in Southern Nevada and read about the phlebotomist reusing needles in Palo Alto. How can I be sure that the needle used on me was not a reused needle? I know my question may sound crazy to you, but I am worried sick (literally) over this and any helpful information you can provide will be appreciated more than you can know.
Avatar m tn But before you go through Lapcorp, you may want to look up IgeneX, they are a specialty lab in Palo Alto that many Lyme literate physicians use. They have a website that describes their available tests. They test for more bands on the Western blot, and give you a full report including results on all bands. (Some other labs only report "positive" or "negative" by CDC standards, without actually listing what, if any, bands are + or IND.
Avatar f tn My blood sample arrived at Igenex in Palo Alto this morning. Those of you unfamiliar with me and my symptoms, past and present, read back through some of my posts. Needless to say, I'm anxious to know the results. Lets take a poll, what does everyone think, will it be negative or positive? I could only afford the western blots. In other news, I still have some type of worms, something that produces microfilaria.
Avatar m tn This theory was proposed by Nobel winning chemist Dr. Linus Pauling (whom I once had the pleasure of meeting in his Palo Alto California office). Pauling was a great chemist and humanitarian, but his theories regarding vitamin C have proved to be false. If we can be of further help, please post again. Avatar n tn You need to go to Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital in Palo Alto, California. There is a pediatric heart surgeron there named Dr. Frank Hanley and he is known for doing surgeries on children with pulmonary stenosis. Trust me, I know my daughter has it and she has had 3 heart surgeries so far.
