Avatar n tn That's not super alarming. "Mild" really is mild, in your case, it seems. The aorta normally enlarges with age, so it may just be normal aging that accounts for your mild ectasia. If you happen to be a large individual, then you will naturally have a larger aorta, so that's part of the equation, also. Do you know if the aortic valve is functioning normally? If so, that's another good sign.

Avatar f tn Hello, Inverted nipple can be due to many causes but since your mammography is normal, then there is nothing much to worry. Duct ectasia can cause inverted nipple and is a condition in which the lactiferous duct becomes blocked or clogged. Mammary duct ectasia often improves without treatment but your doctor may prescribe a 10- to 14-day course of antibiotics to treat any infection caused by mammary duct ectasia. Surgery is kept as last resort when antibiotics do not help.

1175033 tn?1492201228 I am wondering if maybe the disease presents like a different disease in women. It also has other complications similar to EDS, like Dural Ectasia. (I think this is where my Tarlov cyst falls into all of this). Severe cases of Dural Ectasia can even cause CSF leakage leading to Chairi like presentation on MRI with the cerebral tonsils and hind brain crowding . Dural Ectasia also can lead to other types of spinal cord cysts because the dura is weaker than in a normal person.

As a result, the contents of the colon are not propelled through the colon normally. The cause of colonic inertia is unclear. In some cases, the muscles or nerves of the colon are diseased. Colonic inertia also may be the result of the chronic use of stimulant laxatives .Please consult a neurologist for the review of the EMG results and get a nerve conduction study done .

Avoiding dairy products, warm liquids, fruits and vegetables and drnking plenty of water helps.

Potentially this dual ectasi could be contributing to the symptoms of diplopia. Alternatively a demyelinating process could b contributing.
