colon

Avatar f tn Oh and My colon has a partial blockage but I really feel like my ovary is there again like the pain I had when they found a mass. They said my ovary was inside the mass and they took it out. But from the pain it's like they never did... Then pain is crazy really,,,, It seems like I never had surgeries... So if any you can relate or shed so light on this please let me know...
Avatar m tn Is it possible that diverticulosis may have developed in my ascending colon? The pain in my lower abdomen is not like the pain I had when I had diverticulitis but I can't help but wonder if this is what I have again. Thank you.
Avatar n tn You're very young for this to be cancer. Have they checked you for appendicitis? It causes pain to go down your leg, and pain between your ovary area and navel. I have never heard of anyone having sciatica pain with colon cancer, I think this was more of a coincidence with the lady you speak of. A blood test would tell your doctor if this is appendicitis. I have seen cases where it lasts quite awhile before becoming really inflammed.
Avatar f tn My question is, is the left ovary located in the front, with the sigmoid colon running behind it, or is the left ovary and sigmoid colon side by side or is the left ovary located behind the sigmoid colon? The reason for this is because I can feel a lump in my lower left side, right where I think my left ovary is located, however, know that the sigmoid colon is located in this same area and so I'm trying to determine whether the lump is caused by my ovary or by my colon?
Avatar n tn Thats a litle inflamation of the colon. . I had it a few years ago. It seems that the left ovary is smack up against the descending colon. I think you may be a little young for that. But , it could be either one. That's what I thought I had back in December.. but when I saw the Dr. , she wanted to rule out anything ovarian..(by the way, are you nauseous?) or do you have a fever?..) When they checked via ultrasound, they did find a small cyst.. But, let's wait and see what your Dr.
Avatar f tn For the past 2 weeks I have a constant pain on my left ovary; the pain is sometimes is so strong that it takes my breath away. I haven't been to the doctor's yet I am trying to see if will just go away. I had back surgery in 2002 the 3rd surgery in 2 years where I now have rods in my lower back and at the time of my surgery about 1 month later I had a blood clot on my ovary; I am now experienceing the same kind of pain. Any suggestions.
Avatar n tn I have been having pain in my ovary area and groins for months. I have had a hysteroscopy (Oct) and NovaSure (March), and I am still having periods. The pain in my ovary area is killing me. I had my gall bladder removed on the same day I had the NovaSure. A week later, I was having major pain in RLQ and so I went to the ER. They did an x-ray to rule out appendicitis. They found a bone island in my pelvis the size of a quarter. I went back to my doctor and he ordered a CT scan.
Avatar f tn Have a colonoscopy. Left lower abdominal pain is typical for colon diseases, like diverticulitis or colitis. I'm not saying it's from colon, but only colonoscopy can show that. I don't see the reason for upper endoscopy.
262802 tn?1303944876 I am 42 and I was diagnosed with a ruptured left ovarian cyst. I have had no real answers and no one has sat down to talk about it. Just that it's normal and gave me pain meds and back next month for a sono to see if there are anymore. I have never had these in my life that I know of and am wondering on the location of my pain. for 3 weeks, I was having pain in my upper left quadrant, into my chest, around the side and back up to my left shoulder and sometimes between shoulder blades.
Avatar f tn I have a haemographic cyst on my left ovary which showed up on ultrasound at 2.6 cm its so painful in my back and near my ovary. I'm on pain meds but the pain makes me nauseous dizzy and I have makes my IBS worse. What can be done as I hate living with this pain .
Avatar f tn From wikipedia - Important organs of the left lower quadrant include part of descending colon, sigmoid colon, left ovary and Fallopian tube or left uterine tube. If abdominal pain or signs of peritonitis are localised in the left lower quadrant, the suspicion is increased for such conditions as colitis, diverticulitis, ureteral colic or pain due to ovarian cysts or pelvic inflammatory disease. Examples of tumors in the left lower quadrant include colon cancer or ovarian tumor.
1872071 tn?1320287532 Hello. I am a 30 yr. old woman. I have many issues in the bathrrom. I gave been noticing a fair amount of mucus when I wipe after I have a bowel movement. Its always happened but I am just noticing more now. I had a CT scan done about 4 days ago and that showed no signs of anything life threatening much as a mass on my colon THANK GOD! But I still feel concerned. My mom died of colon cancer last year.
Avatar m tn Before reaching menopause every time I ovulated, I had terrible pain on left ovary. I am experiencing that pain again which I find strange since I am not ovulating. I have recently moved and so I don't have a doctor but I am thinking I need to see a gynecologist !My health is really good even though I am hypertensive and diabetic with a history of Breast CA.
Avatar f tn I had scar tissue wrapped around my bowels, my ovary and uterus were stuck to my sigmoid colon and my ureters, were trapped with dense adhesions, my ovary still remains embedded into my pelvic wall as the surgeon was not experienced enough to remove it so I need to find another surgeon. What you are experiencing is REAL pain and you need to push you surgeon to do something about it.
Avatar n tn My pap came back normal but they found a 9cm solid, vascular mass/cyst on my left ovary. It has been causing me back pain, bloating, constipation pain and discomfort.(Or I should say I am assuming that is the source now that I know I have it.) My gyno did say that it would have to be surgically removed. He ordered a CA 125 blood test and stated that the results would be in on Monday. My family to my knowledge has no history of ovarian cancer although we do for colon cancer.
Avatar n tn I was doubled over in pain and vomiting from it. Is this going to happen every month, and will I also be at risk for colon infection if the cysts keep appearing outside the normal monthly cycles?
654491 tn?1226209319 If you are able to feel something, odds are it is a skin tag or possibly piles (hemorrhoids). These may cause some pain and hence the body responds to the pain by trying to avoid defecation. This may be misinterpreted as obstruction. If an examination has been done before on your anus, then it may be better to see a gastroenterologist or a colorectal surgeon. Stay positive.
Avatar f tn Call your doctor and make a appointment to be safe. If the pain gets worse or you develope a fever, go straight to the ER, cause it could be something else. Motrin helps with the pain. I have been to the ER 3 times in the last 4 months, and they did ct scans. But only found ovarian cysts. Hope u feel better.
Avatar n tn Such dosages are ineffective for this sort of pain. If the pain is colon pain, an antispasmodic can help with the pain, but the problem with the antispasmodic if the colon is already slow and tends to be constipated already, the antispasmodic can worsen that kind of problem as well, because it will slow the colon down even more. A hot water bottle may help with the pain--some.
Avatar f tn Last month I went to the er because of the pain in my side. At the er they told me I had an ovarian cyst on my right ovary. and to followup with the gyno. I went to see the gyno and he was very rude told me that my cyst was only 2.3cm and not big enough to cause pain, and that I needed to see a gastro. I saw the gastro and since I lost my mom this year to colon cancer, he ordered a ct scan.
Avatar f tn Now the way it was explained to me is that the colon soaks up excess liquid. My thoughts or question is shouldn’t the grease be sucked up or digested before it even gets to the colon? I also failed to mention that my stool for the past couple of months has been soft and thin. What I call, ribbon like. Not diarrhea, just not round or formed. Is the doctor moving in the right direction with the colonoscopy or should we be looking at the other end?
Avatar f tn So I have had hystorectomy and my left ovary removed, I have the right one. But the pain is getting really bad it has be 2 1/2 years. And it hurts sharp pains on the left ovary as well there is nothing there. They cut fat of my colon and bladder to get the endo off. But, Im worried abought endo returning is that possible after the hystorectom? It feels almost as bad as before and why would my no exsiting ovary hurt...I have all the endo symptoms again low pelvic.
