Colon pain in the morning

Common Questions and Answers about Colon pain in the morning

colon

7003050 tn?1390124013 If you are a smaller person you can actually feel your stool in the right ascending colon. Once the stool moved to the transverse colon it's harder to feel. Going to the bathroom and your normal colonic movement will move the stool along. Sometimes women notice it after pregnancy as we get more in tune/focussed on our abdomen. So totally normal.
Avatar m tn is the pain in right or left quadrants due to colon cancer constant or dull and daily coming-going kind?
15290790 tn?1440708475 ve experimented with a gel blanket of ice , when applied to frontal lobe it helps a little, when applied at neck it burns plus increases the pain frequency in my head. Laying down, sitting up, walking, running or swimming, or breathing exercises do nothing, it only pisses off the serpent even more. Slapping, beating, knocking my head up against the wall, or jamming my finger in the corner of my eye, was senseless. Eating cleaner, juicing, colon cleansing etc..
518117 tn?1429276273 s office called back and wants me to bring Hissie in at 9 in the morning instead. Vet wants to observe her for the day. So, I will be dropping my girl off at the vet. I talked to the vet tech. She was wonderful. She was writing down everything I was telling her. I also stated that I wanted an endoscopy. If that shows nothing, then I want a biopsy. My dear friends, I do so listen to all your advice. Without you all, I would have been lost through this.
Avatar f tn The doctor seemed alittle lost and said she has never seen that before just wanted to make sure it isnt dangerous
Avatar m tn I know thats part of the IBS. But why I get these pains in my stomach only in the morning is strange. My GI doctor just passed it off, like it was nothing. I also noticed that I don't belch that much. Even if I do drink a soda or beer once in a great while, maybe once a year or so.
Avatar n tn in the process of being tested right now.the pain only lasts for a few hours in the morning and then disappears for the rest of the day.i hope there are answers and solutions for the problem....
527589 tn?1301678178 Moving around helps with the gas. But I think I would contact your GI about the pain in your stomach.
Avatar f tn About 75% present on left side and mid left side, but can be anywhere the colon goes, even across the lower abdomen, and to the right side. As to the right side, if you have not had your appendix removed yet, I would be thinking involvement possibly there also. I would not just jump in to have a colonoscopy done to determine if it is diverticultis is suspected.
Avatar m tn I have had recurring left side lower back pain that I think could be related to the colon. It only occurs in the morning (I usually go to the bathroom to relieve in the morning) and has been happening for a few months now. My health problems started 2 years ago with pain on the left lower back as well, and doctors still have not been able to find a problem after tons of tests. I had gallbladder surgery about a year ago, and was fine for a while afterward.

Avatar n tn Can you describe the pain you feel? Abdominal pain is rare in colon cancer. Cancer of the colon and rectum can exhibit itself in several ways such as: bleeding from your rectum or blood mixed with your stool; fatigue and pale skin; abdominal distension; abdominal pain; persistent nausea or vomiting; unexplained weight loss; change in frequency or character of stool; sensation of incomplete evacuation after a bowel movement or rectal pain. The duration of symptoms usually takes 14 weeks.
Avatar n tn s orders - no strenuous activities, meds and eating normally - but he is still in quite a bit of pain. The pain travels from his back (where the perf. was made) to the front. Is this normal? We aren't getting much help from his doctors! Any suggestions or words of encouragement? What's next?
Avatar n tn i had the same thing for a long time, i bet you sometimes throw up your food as it gets tight, its your colon twisting up & blocking the flow therefore it gets tight & causes the problems. the only way for fixing it is to have a hemicolectomy operation, it involves a peice of colon being removed, i had it done three years ago & am glad i did it as it can become fatal, the pain is shocking i know but the surgey fixes it so seek help as its well worth it.

1701959 tn?1488551541 I am really freaking out over it. I will make an appointment to see my doctor in the morning but of course the first thing that comes to mind is Colon Cancer... I have no other symptoms, has anyone else ever experienced this? Thank you....
Avatar m tn I have been waking up every morning with a burning pain in my intestines. I went to my doctor and he said, it sounded like IBS. I went to a GI doctor when I first got this pain about 10 years ago and he said, he thought it was IBS. I had a colonoscopy and they said I had divertiulis. Would this cause a burning pain in my intestines ? I can't seem to get a straight answer from any of the doctors.
Avatar n tn I've been having pain and discomfort in my lower right abdomen and colon area. There has been some feeling of pressure and some sharp pain as well as some dull and a few times prickly pain. It is increased when I have gas bubbles passing through that area. I'll get the pain and then alittle while later, I emit the gas bubble externally. The other times I get the pain is when I'm stressed, believe it or not.
6900733 tn?1385925531 It could also be a problem with your appendix or it could be a problem in your colon. You need to find a doctor interested in finding what the issue is and fixing it. No one should be left in pain wondering what is wrong. It is better to know the truth than to go on suffering.
Avatar m tn I had those exact symptoms and I had stage 3 colon cancer at age 48. . Don't wait for pain. I never had pain. The faster they catch it the better!! Please call a Gastroentestinal doctor today!!!
14947301 tn?1437504668 s getting worse every day--, in my stomach, back and bowels (pinching-type pain on ascending and descending colon). I also have bright blood in my stool, I oscillate between severe constipation and mild diarrhoea. Ultrasound and CT-scan revealed nothing, no gallstones, no lesions. Wondering if I could have celiac disease. Would a biopsy of my duodenum show it if I had it? I've been eating lots of gluten lately to make sure it would show up if the doctor tests me for that via a biopsy.
Avatar n tn How long after polips are removed from the colon you can still feel slight pain in your side.Ever since colonoscopy burping, gas and bloating have increased.
Avatar n tn Severe diverticultis and now a narrowing of the sygmoid (spelling??) colon. It is the part that attaches to the rectum. The best thing is to eat fiber, stay away from a lot of red meats and anyhting with nuts or seeds. I am having 1/2 of my colon removed this month and this should correct it once and for all. I was surprised to find out that I most likely will NOT have to have a temporary colostomy. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn He was recently diagnosed with IBS because of his almost constant diarrhea, where as mine was mostly in the morning. I should also point out that I have severe anxiety as well, and quite often, the anxiety will just tip my bowels over the edge. It was strange: in the mornings, when I woke up EARLY for school, I would have lots of gas, and a watery stool, a few hours into school, mostly every week day EXCEPT for Friday.
Avatar f tn Things started to improve towards mid January 2008 as far as the bowel movements went, but then in February the lower left pelvic pain started flaring up again and a couple of days I had what felt exactly like period cramping, although I wasn't on my period. I went back to my regular doctor and explained to him that it started to feel like it did before my endometriosis diagnoses, although not as bad and severe.
Avatar m tn t find out about the redundant colon unless is causes problems with pain or defecation. These sections of colon may not be held in place properly like the rest of the colon is and a twist may unfortunately result at some point. But the 'whole' of the colon is typically held in place pretty securely, so that twists don't normally occur. Your large intestine will move somewhat during a colonoscopy, but I really doubt the procedure could 'twist back' something along the way.
