Common Questions and Answers about Colon hydrotherapy at home

colon

Avatar f tn So you're hydrated, how about bowel perforations, infection, rise in your electrolytes, Certain enema preparations have been associated with heart attacks! Colon cleansing may disrupt the balance between bacteria and natural chemicals in the bowel, and may interfere with the colon's ability to shed dead cells.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried colon hydrotherapy ? I’ve done 3 treatments back to back already and it has decreased the symptoms but I don’t think it’s permanent. I started the treatment 3 days ago. It’s a machine that cleans out your colon for 45 min. It’s a good way to detox. I noticed after the first treatment I had less cravings for sugar. I pretty much forgot to eat for a whole day after the first treatment bc for some reason I didn’t feel hungry (I don’t recommend not eating).
Avatar m tn I also had a few lymphathic drainage massages, and a colon hydrotherapy done which took away the swollen nodes under my arms, and reduced the swelling of the ones on my neck area. Before I went for the massages and the colon hydrotherapy, I experienced chronic fatigue, and after I did these procedures, my fatigue went away, and I have more energy now. The colon cleanse showed I had pin worms.
Avatar m tn About a week ago I posted a question about colon hydrotherapy but I received no response. I had this treatment done and since then I have gone more than usual. I am scheduled for another treatment but I would like to know if this is accepted by the medical field as a safe and effective method of colon cleansing. Or some comments from others who have been through this before. Please respond.
473493 tn?1236836912 I also followed up with doing colon hydrotherapy to cleanse my system so that I could go to the bathroom regularly. After the session, I lost a whopping 7lbs! Now this is not typical, I just had a lot of gunk in my colon that needed to come out. I also used a natural appetite suppressant that helped curb my appetite. It worked wonders for me and it could help with your problem as well.
Avatar f tn I would go on a parasite cleanse. Parasites tend to cause G.I. spasms, especially when something is consumed that can potentially harm them. Easiest way to do this is go on a juice cleanse for a few days, buy some black walnut wormwood liquid and drink that, eat some pumpkin seeds, and consume some food grade diatomaceous earth which would kill the parasites.
Avatar f tn After doing the program for a week, I also had colon hydrotherapy to pull everything out of my colon that was undigested. It was so much stuff that came out..now I go to the bathroom daily and have continued to lose the weight. Maybe you should try this method.
Avatar n tn please see a urogynecologist...you most likely have pelvic organ prolapse! I developed this after my hysterectomy and also look into pelvic floor dysfunction...I understand your misery as I have been living since 2005...went from laxatives, to mag citrate to enemas to colon hydrotherapy...dr's saying I was addicted to the above methods...after a 6.5 hour surgery correcting my anatomy I went from the above methods to going 4-8 times a day...

Avatar m tn My 11 year old English Bulldog Jake went Monday 9/12 for his yearly checkup at the Vet and got the Lepto. & Lyme vaccines along with routine checkup. On Friday, 9/16 he had by then big lump develop at site of vaccines which is normal with soreness but to me unusually large. Took him back to Vet to be prescribed with Antibiotics for an infection verified by blood test culture under microscope. It was either dirt on his skin caused it or the vaccine itself according to my research.
Avatar f tn Hi, after going to the ER (yesterday ) for stomach pain (colon pain) turns out I have/had a complex cyst 6 cm. I had it removed via laparoscopy around 6 pm last night Feb 10 . Not sure waft exactly happened since I was sent home by 9ish. I think the dr said it burst and was bleeding. I was not able to prepare physically or mentally for this surgery. I'm in extreme pain, I basically can't move it hurts on a level 10 to try get up. You think I was sent home too soon?? Thank you !!
230948 tn?1235844329 i have another session booked for thursday and i just dont know if to go through with it, if i should push past it or avoid it at all cost, i thought by doing hydrotherapy it would increase my muscle strength so i could do the stairs again and get out of a chair without being helped!!
230948 tn?1235844329 Hi there uk - I'm glad to hear that. I think a neuro would be better able to locate the problem, if it isn't dealing with the FMS...and I agree...it sounds like something else going on. If you are like me, you probably swung that leg as far and as high as you could...just try doing it a little bit next time. We always tend to 'overachieve' lol. I know what you mean about that whiplash. I had a car accident over 20 yrs.
Avatar f tn I am starting to wean myself off of my back brace and will begin hydrotherapy soon. My doctor wants to start me with hydrotherapy first and then progress to the ground physical therapy. Should I expect to feel sore after my therapy sessions? The hydrotherapy sounds like it will feel good, but since I've never had any kind of back trauma or surgery... I welcome any input from others. It's interesting to know that a change in atmosphere brings on an arthritic type of pain.
Avatar f tn t happened, then even if he has colon cancer, it should be at an early enough stage that they would likely be able to successfully remove it, maybe need to give him just some chemo, and he will go on to live a long and healthy life!
441267 tn?1211687001 Let us know how u do today...I want more info on this alternative therapy...is it for pain or just to get off drugs? i think i am off the drugs...gosh i hope so...but still have pain ...
Avatar f tn but did not think it could be why I could not poop because I did not splint to remove the stool but did enemas, laxatives and colon hydrotherapy...well, so over time the laxatives quit working and the enemas and colon hydrotherapy was taking hours to get the waste out of my body...I learned to restrict food to next to nothing...which again would point them in thinking I had mental issues because I looked anorexic at times...I finally in 2011 found a dr.
Avatar f tn http://www.sonoranspine.com/Spondylolisthesis.asp The above link has a really good article on spondylolisthesis, which is just a big word to describe various changes in the spinal vertebra. As we age, most of us will exerience a certain amount of spinal changes. There really isn't much to be done about it other than physical therapy or eventually surgery. You really don't want to go the surgical route unless the pain from your condition is so debilitating that you can't function.
2021654 tn?1328649960 What kind of treatments are being used to help people with "Proximal Diabetic Neuropathy"? What can one do at home to help make the patient more comfortable? Are there exercise that will help when the patient is bed bound?
Avatar m tn if your intestines and bowels are still weak, i recommend colon hydrotherapy. it helps. if you know of anyone with a bi-resonnance machin it helps. this is sent from a person who was terribly sick and has started coming back to life. take care buddy.
Avatar n tn I now am experiencing obstruction of the colon due to build up of scar tissue where they reconnected the colon to the rectum. They have dilated the colon 6 times over the last 8 weeks and I am now at a size 20 balloon. Each week I have closed by half of what was opened the week before. How many times can the colon be dilated before the surgeon should be called back in? Are there any other options available other than Surgery or dilation?
Avatar f tn All colon disease is NOT directly related to diet. There is a heriditary form of colon cancer and although at 22 you are quite young to worry about cancer you should inquire about any family history of the disease. Please speak to your doctor about your concerns. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn NS said he didn't find anything unexpected, and I don't think he was looking for anything in particular. He was also surprised at how quickly I noticed improvement in my breathing. I tire easily and my head/neck hurt constantly, but it's great to be at home! At least at home I can manage my own pain meds -- I didn't have a pump, so had to beg for meds all the time when pain got bad...then had to WAIT for pharmacy to send up my flexeril. So lame!
Avatar f tn t no what to do with her anymore she called 911 and was taken back to the hospital they took more tests and the doctor said to give her some nausea medicine and send her back home.
