I've never heard of it, being that I am vaguely familiar with colon cleansers in general. Could anyone give me some advice on colon cleansing, specifically Oxypowder. If it works, I'll try it.
These stimulants increase your heart rate, can lead to insomnia and loss of concentration, and really contradict the purpose of getting your body back to a natural chemical-free state. Another type of stimulant is a laxative. Laxatives are often used in colon cleanse products to help speed up the elimination portion of the detox. Yes, there are natural laxatives that occur in nature like Senna and other stimulants, mostly in the form of herbal laxative tea.
I am starting a colon cleaning diet with maximum burn and natural clean, because I had seen online at the CNN website that it really works fast. The products are cheep to buy as a trial and this is my second day on the pills. I only want to clean out my body and loose a bit of the belly flab, is this diet as safe and simple as I had heard? Has anyone on Medhelp ever tried the diet before?
Sorry pasq, In all my years I've never heard or read that suggestions regarding colon cleansing. I doubt that is associated with the medical profession. Enemas are normally reserved for evacuating stool or medicated as a treatment for some bowel diseases. I found this from a trusted site: “We used to believe that size was indicative of a problem if the stool was ‘pencil-thin,’” ........ “But recent research indicates that this is actually not true.
Primary sent me for a abdominal and pelvic X-ray 5 days ago and it still shows loaded with stool the ENTIRE colon. It's been a whole month on this regimen,I'm getting scared-all that comes out is liquid-how can that get the stuff off the walls? Has anyone had this problem of coated-not pieces-impacting your entire colon? What kind of Dr could go in and clean it out with suction?
Well I had these tests done the other day, and to my dismay, found out that I do have a hiatal hernia, and a tortuous colon? Does anybody have any idea with a tortuous colon indicates as in surgery? I am told it is caused by my years of constipation, it elongated my colon/intestinal tract? Also, I read in papers (mine) that my colon was dialated, can anyone enlighten me on that...I wont' see specialist till a few weeks.
There has already been talk of removing the rest of my colon......Does any one have any ideas or have they had to deal with this??? Any suggestions would be appreciated, major frustration has set in & am wondering whether I made the right choice & do I just "deal" with it & just give it time???
My son has had bowel difficulties since birth (food sensitivities, diahrrea). His growth has been slow (he is 13 and weighs 76 pounds). He couldn't tolerate dairy until @ age 4 (cheese only). At age 11 he lost 15 pounds and developed OCD. He had a significant Vit. D deficiency. His Ige bloodwork tested positive for celiac disease.
There are colon cleanses that don't contain liver cleansing herbs, just colon cleansers, which are abrasives and sometimes laxatives that are intended to clean out that system. You might want to look into those next time.
12 months ago I found a product on line Dr Natura Products, I bought the Colonix Internal Cleansing Program. Along with it I bought Paranil ( Flora Protect Probiotics ) which they recomended. This stuuf really seemed to be doing a good job, some nasty stuff came out of me and allot of it. I think it was a 3 or 4 month program, I am not sure if that is right or not. You can read about it at http://www.drnatura.com/?
As we all know, back in the days of old they would administer medicine and fluids rectally to patients who were too sick to keep food or water down (or who were in a coma) The same goes with the entire colon. If you engorge it with water, the colon will soak it up like a sponge. In rare cases, the fluid overload is so severe that it's fatal.) Of course, many of you have already ruled that out...
I want to go on a detoxifying, cleansing program of natural herbal capsules that cleanse liver and colon, because i have been told it may help my digestive system greatly. i am in pain and discomfort so i am really wanting to start my cleanse tomorrow morning. i am planning to drink lots of water, quit smoking, still eat what is on my meal plan whether its toxic or not, and drink lots of healthy raw juice. I also am going to drink green tea.
Your digestive system and bowel naturally eliminate waste material and bacteria your body doesn't need colon cleansing to do this. Colon cleansing can sometimes be harmful. The main concerns with colon cleansing are that it can: Increase your risk of dehydration. The only time to do it is for a colonoscopy.
If you think you are super clogged then buy some stool softeners at the store (located next to the laxatives). Take 2 along with the vegetable laxatives and this will soften you up. Make sure to buy the natural vegetable ones, not the stimulant Dulcolax kind. I made the mistake of taking that one before and basically felt like I was birthing a child out of my rear. The stimulant ones give you the worst pains!!!
I think it depends on the type of enema. Using enemas frequently for constipation can cause your rectum to "forget" how to have a bowel movement naturally. Using enemas for "colon cleansing", I believe is not good, because your colon doesn't need any cleansing, it does this itself.
Hello, Colon cleansing (colon therapy) encompasses a number of alternative medical therapies intended to remove fecal waste and unidentified toxins from the colon and intestinal tract. No scientific evidence supports the alleged benefits of colon cleansing. The bowel itself is not dirty and barring drugs or disease, cleans itself naturally without need for assistance. Some types of colon cleansing present potential hazards also.
This worked for me, and I wanted to share what happened. I was worried I ws taking too many Vicodin ( I have mild chronic pain) and Oxy too, always running out, not feeling relief from the meds. I started a colon cleaning program, expecting I would help get the toxins from my system, feel better, etc etc overall help myself BE healthier.(I bought an online packaged Colon Cleansing & Detox product from Dr Natura, but I am sure many good products are out there..
Now the web site really scared me, one person said even taking one enema can cause your bowel to become stretched and it's very bad. (also abuse of laxatives) I have done alot of colon cleansing in my time.
The problem with using products that do a colon cleanse is that they are filled with laxatives, yes most of them have natural elements, but laxatives none the less. This actually causes more problems to your colon over a period of time. I swore by a colon cleanse product prior to my colonoscopy it was the ONLY thing that made me regular.
Poor colon health is linked to a host of diseases and ailments. I would commend regular colon cleansing with enemas as a key to good health. I can personally attest to that and its really inexpensive if you just educate yourself. Start out slow with lower volumes, solution strength and insertion depth (if using a colon tube) and gently proceed from there. Temperature should be luke warm to warm, not hot. Enema sense is SEAT: Solution, equipment, administration and temperature.
If this is a minor rash - why won't it go away? I read everywhere that diseases start with decreased colon health. I am very afraid, know I should be doing something – but have no clue. What about colonics? I greatly appreciate your time and assistance. Thank you.
The FDA said Thursday that oral sodium phosphate products shouldn't be used by children under 18 years of age, or in combination with other laxatives containing sodium phosphate.
I have tried Atkins, Weight watchers, low fat diets, fruit detox, colon cleansing and none work for more than 5-6 lbs and then ONE meal off the diet after weeks of work and I gain ALL the weight back and then some! with one meal! that's incredible. Hi astros, I'm having all kinds of crazy symptoms. I'm intrested in colon cleansing, but I'm not sure what to use. Also, I'm afraid to see parasites that look like squids in my toilet !!!!!! YUCK!!! I have been feeling like I have been poisoned. I even asked my husband if he was slowly poisoning me. I was half kidding, but that's how bad I feel. I have had HepC for probably 25 years, enzymes are all in normal ranges, and biopsy 2 years ago showed only a small amount of inflamation.
) :) otherwise it sounds great ali avis
I go regularly and clean intensely but the problem persists. I've tried; - regular colon cleansing by douching - chlorophyll - constant washing, wiping and showering - diet change - laxatives Nothing satisfyingly works and I'm never rid of it!
somewhat?? better, but still resorting to laxatives. What results, good or bad, do you get with the Colon Cleanser? Same as laxatives?
No laxatives already, only was taking natural laxatives while cleansing 2. That's gonna be difficult, I try not to, but if I do not try to go I may not go for days 3. That's another tough one, I like to eat junk food, but try to stay away from it. 4. All I usually drink is wine or Vodka. 5. I don't smoke 6. I do not eat dairy products as much as possible. 7. As I now live in Asia most things are warm or hot. 1. I already take Acidophilus several times a day. Is there one you would recommend?
