colon-cleanse

He is recommending that I take a colon cleanser called Colpurin to clean out and detoxify my system. Has anyone else taken Colpurin and what results have you had? At this point I will try anything that will bring me back to good health.
Colon cleanse is a procedure for preparing to bowel investigation or surgery. It has its side effects, one is that it can derrange your intestinal flora, or trigger IBS or other silent abdominal disease.
Didn't change anything else about my lifestyle except my thyroid meds and didn't even have to do all that additional testing and cleansing you mention. I am all for a doctor that will do the right kind of thyroid testing. My concern is that a general impression that many doctors, such as you mention, push patients to do extensive testing and cleansing for food and environmental allergies because they make lots more money that way.
Does anyone think that detoxing colon, liver and kidneys is a good idea before taking on a new diet plan? I was thinking of doing it thru regular foods, no herbs or natural medicines or anything.. just good ol fruits and veggies etc.. anyone do this? also, has anyone used the slimquick cleanse or any other "cleansing" products? It says not to if you are on meds or have thyroid issues unless you talk to doc.... Just wondering if anyone did?
You may want to check with your doc on the start of your thyroid gland. Low thyroid can cause some of the symptoms you're describing. Forget the alcohol and up your intake of soluble fiber and fluids to see if that will help with the constipation. You might also want to consider cutting dairy out of your diet to see if it does anything to change your bowel habits.
regular doctor I had an ultra sound, looked at water retention, gasritis and thyroid. I went to a Naturalpathic doctor...looked at digestion, probiotics, acid reflux, colon cleansing etc.... Lastly I had a stool test for everything (such as allergies, parasites, etc...) everything looked good except found I had H Pylori. treated it. STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM! What the heck is wrong with me? (and dont tell me IBS.
visited me and told me that he would be performing a colonoscopy and biopsy, (removal of the stool) I was very happy. The next day a surgeon came by and talked to me and my husband about the colon surgery that I might have to have. We asked a lot of questions about removing my colon and he told me he would confer with my family dr. (NOT my primary, which I am now in the process of changing over) so they could schedule a “Motility Test” to find out where the problem with my colon is.
I had a similar condition and did 3 months of colon cleansing and my skin is 90% healed. The skin on out the outside indicate what is going on internally. During the cleanse I lost 25lbs because when you're detoxing you are not hungry. Once I understood I had a toxic colon and got into the cleansing with herbs and colonics I felt better and better each month, my energy came back. I am getting to do the liver cleanse which you do after the colon is healthy.
Please have faith and start taking responsibility for your own health as by cleaning your colon and liver you will rid yourselves of these terrible/crippling side effects that have plagued many of you for years. Reading all your stories touched me emotionally and I genuinely hope anyone reading my post will find the strength to make that change. I'm now weaning myself of my blood pressure tablets with much success and monitoring it daily. Good luck everyone, you can do this!!!
You seem to be very knowledgable about cleansing so I was wondering about your opinion of Isagenix take on internal whole body cleansing, not just colon cleansing to detox. Have you ever tried it? A freind of mine swears by it and suggests that I try it, but I want to do my research first. My friend lost 25 lbs. the first month.
Sometimes people who are diabetic or have a problem with the thyroid gland can have diffrent effects to fiber, protein, and sugar.I think everyone should have a good gastrologist.Talk to people in your area to get a feel on who is best to go talk to where you live.....
For the last 6 months I have been getting tearing (look like paper cuts) in my vaginal area (1/4 to 1/2 inch long). I get the tears at least once or twice a week and they last from 2-4 days, go away for a few days and then come back. They continue to occur in the same locations; 1. Inside the vaginal lips on the sides almost always in the crease (between the labia minora and majora?) 2. Between the anus and vaginal opening (perineum) 3. Above the clitoris in the "hood" area.
What was really crazy and confusing was that this would also send my treated underactive thyroid out of control and my usual symptoms of my thyroid medication needing to be adjusted were really intensified (dizziness, "hypoglycemia"). I went to no less than eight doctors (multiple GP's, Ears/Nose/Throat + an ear specialist, Endocrinologist, multiple Rheumatologists - some are not nice at all, Neurologist, etc.
As anything else - lip sticks of glosses give me little sores on my lips and cause them to puff up and get little scabs and peel contantly - i also get dry patches under my eyes and eye lids. When I visited a doctor they told me I may have an allergy to nail polish and an ingrediant in lip glosses/balms its also happens when I were nail polish. After removing it it usually clears up within a week.
I feel a bit better eliminating wheat, and detoxing on this protein powder. I'm also looking into investigating my thyroid. Hope this helps. Your'e not alone. It's weird and vague and crippling as you cant get much done. Thanks for posting. I hope its a simple allergy that can be corrected.
It’s true that many of us could benefit from fewer calories, more water, and more fruits and veggies. And while most supplements don’t have scientific data to support them, we also don’t have much data to suggest that most are particularly dangerous - it’s your money after all. But do two or three weeks of a monastic existence actually accomplish anything other than help you lose a few pounds (starvation works!
extensive imaging studies of brain and spine and other rhumatalogic exam , thyroid, and blood all negative. unremarkable emg accept for carpel tunnel. chemistry level unremarkable except for mildy elevated globulin and protien. sed rate elavated in past. so basically i have in all gone too 3 different neurologist and one neuromuscular doc. no one has a clue. my sysptom for last few days are crazy.
Now the web site really scared me, one person said even taking one enema can cause your bowel to become stretched and it's very bad. (also abuse of laxatives) I have done alot of colon cleansing in my time.
( thank you for pointing out those deficiencies Red_ Star!) Detox of heavy metals, liver, kidney and colon cleansing are also of paramount importance. The connection to MS and MS like symptoms with Candida Albicans, Candidiasis and MycoToxins has been well established. It HAS to be investigated! This is often if not an underlying cause, a co-factor. My suggestion is to consult with an experienced Naturopathic doctor.
I've tried some products but they had so much caffeine, I got horribly sick and was very jittery? Also I'm looking for a reputable well working colon cleansing product.. Someone help me please.. THANKS!!
Acid reflux or heartburn as it used to be called can be helped with digestive enzymes and a good probiotic. Your colon must also be moving at least once a day if not more. I suffer from benign pvc's as well and experience the exact same stomach lurches. I was told this is an adrenaline rush(fight or flight response.) This is what makes pvc's so very exhausting. Working on strenthening your adrenals is a good step.
My pharmacist said that if you take it when you don't need it (I've never had a thyroid problem - and I've been tested a lot) it can shut down your thyroid! Any thoughts? Thanks!
I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
Hi all. New to this. I am a 44 year old woman who is physically fit (gym 5 days a week) and eats pretty well. Approx 5 weeks ago I developed veins showing on both hands. They have not gone away and infact they are bulging most times, and I can "feel them". They have increased and I can see some starting to climb up my forearm now. Before this, my veins barely ever showed.
From acid balance to zodiac signs, authors, experts, and even bloggers are trying to find the next hook to help you lose weight and help them sell books or advertisements on their websites. But we all know somewhere deep inside that much of the "secret" to losing weight safely comes down to two main concepts: Eat less. Do more.
Not too painful, but annoying, like pins and needles. They tested my thyroid and kidneys, found nothing. Are we all mental? Does anyone have any insight into this?
