549269 tn?1236130637 I would suggest you contact a colonic hydrotherapist in your area and schedule a series of colonics, maybe once a day for five days. You see melissa, health begins in the colon, and if the colon is clogged you will never feel your best. Once you have no contraindidations to this simple pocedure you can have it done. You should also invest in a good juicer and immediately start juicing your vegetables and fruits. Try drinking at least four glasses of vegetable juice and fruit juice a day .
Avatar f tn Hello Thank you for your comment. I lost my uterus in 2008 to endometriosis. Now Ieft ovary and fallopian tube. I'm feeling better, just bad menstrual cramps in the back and front. Get bloated with eating or juicing. No endo was removed from the colon; wasn't there.
2065676 tn?1331422440 We have a great juice place near us. The owner treated himself while undergoing chemo, and had an outstanding outcome. He's learned a lot about helping cancer patients undergoing chemo tx, and was able to give us some guidance as well. Fresh green juice with lots of ginger. He's tried to get my husband to take some straight ginger juice as he says it tonifys the blood, also garlic, but husband won't do either. Can't say I blame him.
Avatar n tn My husband has these health issues: depression, lower back pains, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and on top of that high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and heart problems run in the family. He took 4-6 ibuprofen pills each time his back bothered him, or Tylenol (whatever is available) which is about 4-8 times a day; and TylenolPM before bed .
Avatar f tn does coughing and wheezing more {as asmatic anyway} have any bearings on colon cancer
Avatar m tn Thanks to all of you who have given me advice on my mom and her struggles with the chemo treatments and the Nuelesta shot. We will definitely try your suggestions. Those of you who used juicing---what are you juicing? Have you found some combinations that are better than others? Also, has anyone used the medication---Zofran? Mom said that seems to help her feel a little better. She sounds a little stronger today.
Avatar f tn Colon cancer can be extremely hereditary! My mother-in-law has 4th stage colon cancer and it was recommended to my husband and his sister to have a colonoscopy at 40 years old. He did and they found 1 small (3mm) sized tumor that was found to be pre-cancerous. His sister's result was clear. So, that's 50% chance right there. I agree with quinroxanne, be very vigilant! Good luck.
Avatar f tn Are there any stage IIIc clear cell ovarian cancer survivor's? I'm starting Avastin after carboplatin/taxol and 3 months remission, then 2 months of etoposide. Alone, scared and trying hard. I do acupuncture, watch my diet and have tried EFT, affirmations, juicing diet (almost put me in hospital), and anything else I find that looks promising, but don't know my chances.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with colon cancer 8 years ago and they removed 19 inches of my colon at that time. Now, I had a PET scan done a few weeks ago and a spot (size of a lima) bean was found. I was sent to an orthopaedic doctor and he has discussed the scans with 4 radiologist and they will not commit 100% it is not cancer. So, now they ahve requested a CT/biopsy after a consultation with an Interventional radiologist next week. Do you feel this could be cancer?
932747 tn?1247616635 I had a extreamly large substernal thyroid goiter removed a few weeks ago. They found an incendental papillary cancer, and I'm scheduled for another surgery to remove the rest of the thyroid. When I asked the surgeon what caused this very large goiter, she said it was probably an autoimmune issue. Just wondering what the "issue" could be, and should I be tested for other autoimmune disorders. Thanks!
Avatar m tn My husband's 1st wife had colon cancer. It was discovered too late, & she passed away at the age of 24 saddly. Your symptoms don't sound like what my husband told me she had. She started having symptoms in her late teens... chronic constipation, stomach pain, etc. One day while she was away at college, she started throwing up really hard & thought she had a virus. She was staying really tired & just couldn't shake it.

Avatar n tn Can you describe the pain you feel? Abdominal pain is rare in colon cancer. Cancer of the colon and rectum can exhibit itself in several ways such as: bleeding from your rectum or blood mixed with your stool; fatigue and pale skin; abdominal distension; abdominal pain; persistent nausea or vomiting; unexplained weight loss; change in frequency or character of stool; sensation of incomplete evacuation after a bowel movement or rectal pain. The duration of symptoms usually takes 14 weeks.

Avatar m tn No one in my family has had colon cancer. Three months ago I was diagnosed with mono, which really brought down my whole immune system. I then had walking pneumonia. I had sinus infections in between too, which caused me to take many antibiotics. I have a severely sensitive stomach and the antibiotics ruined my stomach. Ever since than, I have been very nauseous, no energy at all, loss of appetite, and some pain in my left lower abdomen.
Avatar n tn I have been reading for colon cancer symptoms and I am thinking that the melanoma has spread. However I have not lost any weight, do not feel nauseaous, have not vomited, do not feel weak, my apetite is the same as before and I have another symptom that I haven't seen listed for colon cancer. I feel like if I had something inside my stomach(like water) and if I move I feel it move too. Does anyone know what this might be?
Avatar f tn It is difficult to comment without examining. Frank blood is usually not a sign of colon cancer. However since you bleed and itch around anus I feel they could be hemorrhoids that have got infected or twisted. These could also be anal skin tags or even warts. “Medical treatment of hemorrhoids is aimed initially at relieving symptoms.

Avatar f tn My husband has just been diagnosed with Colon cancer on Wednesday, his surgeon wanted to admit him right away but stated he needed more testing before surgery. Is having a chest xray and CT scan normal testing before the surgery or should I prepare for news that the cancer has spread. I need to know because I don't want to be too upset when we meet the surgeon again this Wednesday. Any help I would greatly appreciate. Thank you in advance.
Avatar f tn It can be a tricky business removing polyps in the ascending colon. There is no reason to panic. Colon cancer is very slow growing. In my opinion another colonoscopy in three months won't reveal much. Perhaps biopsies can be taken, but that still leaves unanswered questions. The one sure solution is surgery, and I wouldn't settle for anything less than the most experienced specialist in your area.
