I am 42. I have suffered Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria since I was 19. I have about 2 episodes a year. Each episode last 3-4 MONTHS! I can't get allergy tested because I would most likely go into anaphylactic shock. I'm having a severe episode. I am on all kinds of meds. I have had 3 epipens in the last 3 days. My left thigh has a hive about the size of a dinner plate. It hot to the touch and hurts like hell and itchy. It even hurt to walk.

I will get severe sores in my mouth and on tongue, and on/ and in eyes. Severe lip swelling, cold sweats, and trouble breathing. These outbreaks get worse with each. I have seen a dermatologist, ENT, Internal Medicine and Allergist. Tested negative to herpes and food allergies. No one has been able to diagnosis me or provide much help. Valtex is the only medication that will slowlyl subside the symptoms.

ve gone to see a Dermotologists (who gave me **** medication), I also went to see a Specialists in Immunology and he recommended Alavert and nothing. He told me if could be a Thyroid problem or hormonal. I've never experienced this before and it is driving me nuts. I now shave with an electric razor, exercise when it's not hot outside, and take semi-warm showers. Someone out there has had to have had this problem. PLEASE, PLEASE help!

There is a thing called cold urticaria, as well as heat urticaria. Being the new one, what appears to be cold urticaria. My hand, knuckel and front of my legs get extremeley red, break out in hives and itch and burn like crazy when I step outside now that the weather is getting cold in the greal lake region.
