t feel much of anything. I am numb and dead inside. That is why I am stopping all of my meds. ALL OF THEM. Cold turkey. I am stopping Wellbutrin, Cymbalta and Abilify. I am not going to live like this anymore. I just got married for God's sake and I hardly feel any emotion or passion. My doctor doesn't care. He just wants to keep upping the meds. I am tired of it. I have stopped them all. Has anyone done this. What can I expect with regards to emotional changes and such?
I have made plans to go out of town with my mom for 1 week to try and quit cold turkey. She has been a big part of my support and want nothing more than to help me get off this ****. We are both going to the doctor tomorow to see what kind of other medication she can give my mom to ease the withdrawls for me. Again I'm just looking for any suggestions on what worked for other people. I have my mind up about this and I am going to do it while I'm still young.
hi you have been through a lot, you wont die without your script, so try not to worry, you have been through a lot, but you will go into withdrawal, it would be good to come off the lortabs, and it can be done cold turkey, there are things that can help with that, and maybe you can at least find some of them,i dont think taking 5 xanax is any good for you, its not a good benzo with a very short half life and will give you more problems, does your dr. prescribe them and ambien?
Honestly you should not doing anything cold turkey! I have tried it and it was a nightmare and is totally unsafe for your body. You need to find a doctor asap who is willing to help you out they have to help u taper off of this! Your not having any seizures it is just your body going through withdrawals! Trust me I know I been there :(
Please find a doctor to help you out and explain the situation tell them you want to maybe even switch to a lower dosage, but def. need to be tapered.
Things come to a head a few weeks ago when he started coughing up blood an our little boy asked why he was so sick in the morning when he got up an why he had to go out all the time. He is now gone cold turkey as i type this i can hear him thrashing about as this time the withdrawl is a hell of alot worse i suppose it would be going from 6 bags a day to nothing. HOW DO I HELP HIM WITH HIS WITHDRAWELS THIS TIME????? WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT??????? WHAT CAN I DO???????????
About 12 a day and he stopped cold turkey on Sunday afternoon. What side effects can I expect? Any suggestions on how to help him get through this would be very helpful. Foods to eat or avoid? Tea or herbs? Anything to help him get off naturally. He is also a sugar and caffiene addict. Lots of candy, rockstar and coffee. I did give him a zanax to take with him to work yesterday but he didn't take it until he got home and fell asleep at 7:00 and slept 12 hours.
I am on day 11, of a 35ml a day cold turkey withdrawl from methadone , and speeking from firsthand understanding of opiate detox, i have quit a 1 to 2.5gram aday herion habit and a 80 to 120mg a day dilaudid habit. and methadone is by far the hardest thing i have ever atempted to quit. now to the point, iwas hoping someone could give me a rough idea or timeline as to when ican exspect to start feeling better. i know thats a very openended question but this draging on much longer then exspected.

I'm on 1500mg Depakote, 160mg Geodon & 4mg Lorazapam a day! I've been on dozens of medications over the years for my Bi-Polar Disorder & nothing seems to help! What if I stopped, cold turkey, taking any medication for my illness? Would I feel better after going through withdrawals? Has anyone else gotten off their medication cold turkey?
I am on 24 hrs of cold turkey i haven't had bad pain i have had mild is that good or is it going to bang me in a couple of hours???
