I have all the usual symptoms of a kidney stone on one side and have just become aware that this has been causing all this pain for the past 2 months. I drink very little but 3 days ago I started drinking 2+ quarts of water a day and 1/2 cup squeezed from a lemon added to the water. I am a healthy 64 year old female. Is there any way to know if progress is being made of the stone moving and beginning to pass??? How long can this take???

i dont know if this is even a good place to ask this but im pretty sure my great dane has kennel cough (going to call the vet when they open) but my question is i have a bad cough with lots of congestion and mucous..is it possible for pregnant women to catch this? or is it prob just a cold? i dont know if this is a dumb question or not..

Are you or were you concerned about your cat snuggling with the baby? We've had the bassinet in our room for a week now and I just caught my cat laying in it. This is the first time but now that she has discovered it she only wants to sleep in there. She likes snuggling with me at night near my face and I'm worried she'll do it with the baby too. Did any of you cat owners have this issue when you brought your babies home?

I took her back to the vet and they finally did a xray and discovered she had a bladder stone. They were able to do surgery to take the stone out and she's been fine ever since. If that's not it I would maybe see if they can culture the urine, I know in people we can have different strains of infections and some are resistant to certain antibiotics. Hope that helps.

He has gotten into a fight, one leg is hurt and hes limping. But he also has liquid black stuff around his mouth, and his mouth is quivering like hes cold, but he shouldn't be cold. i have a feeling hes dying.

My question is, how likely is for CT scan to misdiagnose stone? is it possible that this can be something different ? And is it possible for the stone to be stuck in the tube? I was told it was only 4mm big in size. Please help.

I shed my cat monthly, and this is what comes out of my cat, and its still coming out. I had to take a break. So I am asking for some help Cat owners what do you do to maintain the hair. Its everywhere, my cloths, couch, my bed, etc. I want to get it under control now and continue before my baby comes this spring/summer. When I am pretty sure my cats hair will go even more crazy getting rid of his winter coat. I dont want my baby being around all that hair. Please help.

Hi all the riba makes me freezing cold all the way down to my bones. I was laying on the couch the other day thanking God for the blanket that was so warm on my feet, and i thought of all the elderly, who cannot take care of them selves, and how they must have cold feet, and it would be nice to have someone going around with blanket in hospital making sure their feet are warm. it is a ugly feeling!!!

I don't have Dobies but, like any other animal, it would depend on your lifestyle. Do you allow dogs in the house or do you prefer outside dogs? Personally, I don't see the point of having a dog if it will be left outside all the time. The Dobie owners I've known have dogs that are inside/outside dogs. As with any animal, you have to take the weather into consideration. It is too cold, too hot?

I had a ct of abdomen it found a Small non obstructing stone 3mm lower pole in left kidney. My doctor told me I didn't need any medication for it as it will pass with no pain does this sound right?

Ok cause I was given valtrex for cold sores, but it's like 8 pills to take in two days, not an every day occurrence, plus I have a prescription ointment for the cold sores.

t seem to get warm espeally in the evening. Both of my feet are stone cold and I just get bad chills at night. Is this common for this ?

Has suffered from a dry hacking cough for 2 years. Persistent and seems to have got worse in the cold weather. normal inoculations but not kennel cough. coughs several times and then seems to have to dig into his throat for a final clearing cough although nothing is produced. Hi i popped a vessel in my finger yesterday while chopping onions turned the whole finger black and it swelled up, later that night went to the fridge for a drink but when i opened the door i went all dizzy couldnt see a thing and then i collapsed was knocked out cold for about ten minutes when i came round i stayed down for ages i physically couldnt get up and everytime i tried to stand i hit the floor again i was sweating very bad and shaking it has happened me once before when i was pregnant

One other thing that has worked with my dogs that a trainer taught me is that dogs are pleasers to their owners. So, if you give them the cold shoulder when they've done something undesirable, they hate that. My pups have growled at my kids, for example. I can't have that, soooo, the dog gets a FIRM NO and then we turn away from her and ignore her actively. No attention for a few minutes. I also will have my kids make her sit and then put food in her bowl.

i am pretty sure i am passing a kidney stone. i went to the toilet and almost immediately after going i felt a sharp pain in my left side. I got a ct scan last week, showing 3 in my left kidney and 2 in my right. i'm now passing little blood clots (no obvious blood in the urine), and what looks like tissue. could that be from the stone moving? i can't go to the hospital cause then it's a pre-existing condition and my insurance won't cover it...

My hands and nose are always stone cold its awful!! I have no idea why but i hope this passes soon!!!

i went to doctor he did a scan and said there is a 6.9mm stone (he pointed it in lower abdomen , i think in urinary sack ) he said the tone would pass in a week. and gave me medication -Tamsulosin HCl 0.4mg ,and pain killers . after that day i haven't felt any pain , a mild burning sensation was there yesterday.. but NO serious pain... im wondering now what to do., as i have traveled to another country and visiting a doctor is very expensive here..

I found out that I have a kidney stone(5.3mm) in my right kidney.After three days my left kidney started to hurt.Doctor said I didn't need to do ultrasound but he suspected it to be another stone.He said since I have found out that I have have a kidney stone I should drink a lot of water and it'll work for both kidneys.Its been five days but it hasn't hurt yet.They are saying the pain is going to be excruciating if it comes.How long does it generally take the stone to pass?
