Avatar m tn Ever since my heart attack I have been experiencing the left side of my body getting cold the more relaxed that I get. I have mentioned this to my doctors but they do not seem to be to concerned. Is there something going on that maybe I should be worried about??
280299 tn?1216855676 I had more frequent flutters and actually had a cold set off my last rapid heart rate episode before my ablation. The Dr thinks it could have been a cough that set it off (damn me for coughing with a cold!) Anyway, since my ablation I no longer have the flutters and can take decongestants when I get the next cold. Yahhh!
Avatar f tn Hi, Cold sweats are one of the features of the heart failure but they should not occur in a patient whose heart failure is adequately controlled with drugs. Hence, I’ll suggest you to consult your physician for the same as he may need a change in the drug therapy. In fact, an excessive lowering of the BP which can occur due to the drugs can also result in cold sweats. I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind Regards.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am a 31 years old woman and never had a problem with heart, today, when I was cycling to work, I felt I almost had heart stop... while I was cycling the weather was very cold and I couldn't almost feel my fingers any more, even though I had gloves. when I reached work after just 11 min cycling, I barely could stand, I got very low blod pressure and my college said, my face was very dark color when she saw me laying on corridor. My fingers had as well very dark color.

Avatar f tn About ten years ago I had developed severe cold intolerance, and during that time, had my thyroid function tested regularly because I had TPO antibodies. The tests always came back fine or borderline low, and I eventually convinced myself that the cold intolerance was from having fallen asleep in a hot car one summer and getting a little too overheated. A few months ago I was losing my mind, but still had enough sense to go get my thyroid checked, and my TSH was greatly elevated.

Avatar m tn She has been taking Xanax for years. Her neurologist has told us to stop all narcotics-cold turkey. Is this right? She is going through hell right now. It's been 2 weeks. How long do the withdrawls last?
Avatar m tn s anyone out there that has actually detoxed cold turkey or tapered down that has heart problems. The Cardiologist says it would be no big deal and he'll just feel flu symptons for a couple of days.Well from reading this forum it looks like the symptons last longer and are more severe. We did talk to a detox facility that said it would be no problem as long as he didn't need oxygen or an IV. Just not sure if they just want the $$. It's a 3-5 day detox program.
Avatar n tn I exercise by walking hills, have had a number of stents and angiograms, and will tell you from my experience a cold wind is my enemy. The combination of the cold and the exertion almost always causes me to have angina symptoms. I now avoid that kind of stress. Does the angina dissapate when he takes a nitro pill? Hopefully he does when he feels the angina. What Beta Blocker is he taking? Also, congratulate him on his weight loss.

Avatar m tn I'm a 59 y/o post menopause female. I've recently been having occasional sudden cold sweat breakouts during the day while I am doing housework. I'm not overworking myself and it happens maybe once a week, my body breaks out in cold sweat, I feel weak and about to faint where I have to give up in the middle of cooking and go lay down in bed. Only known conditions I have is cervical stenosis where I have neck and shoulder pain as well as discs in my lower back which causes pain.

Avatar f tn I am ready for spring and for cold/flu season to pass. I still have to get my flu shot, but will wait until this cold has passed!
Avatar f tn I also have notice that with a bad cold or the flu--anything that causes fever, which increases the heart rate--my ectopics disappear or diminish greatly. Strangely, I have not had the same experience after surgery, though. This might be due to genuine derangement of blood and body chemistry, or perhaps, as you suggest, to inflammation.
Avatar f tn I had my apartment set on 70 degrees, so I was pretty cold when I fell asleep. I woke up thirty minutes later BURNING UP and my heart was racing - around 124 bpm. My whole chest was red and I felt like I was going to pass out. I got a cold rag and starting wiping the hot spots to cool me off. After around 30 minutes everything started to return to normal. I have had problems in the past with irregular heart palpitations and visited a cardiologist.
404438 tn?1201720280 s being suffocated of it at the same time. That can lead to possible heart issues in the future. Cold, stiff muscles cause a great deal of pain and/or discomfort. The more pain/discomfort I'm in, the more miserable I am. I'm certain that it is the same for your son even though he has a difficult time to articulate it. His eyes and facial expressions can tell you a lot if you know or learn how to read them, if he's in greater pain or discomfort you'll see it in his eyes and face.
Avatar f tn I am sick with a really bad cold and my heart feels like it is beating 100 miles and hour? Is this bad? I'm 39w0d.

Avatar n tn 5mgs for 5 months and then went cold turkey some symtoms went away but others are still here the rapid heart beat and the worry that is my heart even with the EKG saying that my heart is ok do the symptoms go away??
Avatar m tn Hello. Just a quick question. I was put in metoprolol just to slow my heart rate a little ...about a month ago but it been making me feel really weird immediately after taking it for hours and hours. I contacted my doctor and his nurse told me to stop taking it over the weekend and monitor my heart rate over the weekend. However I've read it's extremely dangerous to just stop this medication and now I'm a little scared. My dose is only 12.5 mg a day.
