I had a neck fusion in Oct. 2007 as my legs were giving out. I have been left with a right hand that feels like ice on the inside all the time and tingles all the time. Now the top of my right foot is cold for no reason. Just started this week, what should I do?
Been on it 2 yrs. after 15 yrs. of high OxyContin usage for chronic pain from 7 failed S-I fusion attempts. I want to get off the Subutex due to the side effects and relief/widthdrawal see-saw every 6 hours. What do others use for chronic pain without going back on opiates? NSAIDS aren't an option due to erosive gastritis. Help!
fusion was from T11 to sacrum. It feels like there is a "slab" covering the fused area out to 3 inches either side of the spine. It is not painful. I have lower back pain, mild 24////7. It intensifies to major pain if I stand for more than 5 - 10 minutes. It intensifies with any activity involving any lifting, turning stooping etc. I am able to walk with a cane 1//2 mile, 1////4 mile without. I use a treadmill for longer exercise, but must support myself wiht the arms.
I had a lumbar fusion with screws 1 yr ago. Recently I have experienced some pressure where the screws are and the other day my wife she said I was bruised in the same area as my pain. My question is, since I have not bumped into anything, is if the screws that are inside can cause bruising on the outside?
Is severely dependent on oxycotin, oxycodone and xanex. It has gotten so bad two almost taking 300mg a day. Had a fusion done and original injury was two shattered ankles 13 surgeries over 3 years and then rebroke fusion , I know pain pills at that level can create more pain and agree he has chronic pain. I feel I don't know him, he became abusive in every way and was told he is a narcissist. Can pills create this behavior.

I had cervical fusion from C3-4 to T-1 anterior and posterior about six months ago and it has seemed very successful. I recently had to have lumbar injections and lay on my stomach and put my head in a rather uncomfortable position. Since then I've had some pain at the lower part of my neck on the right side The pain has subsided, but other odd symptoms persist.
I am also wondering if post-Seroquel, taking mild opiates like Tramadol for his spinal fusion he had in July can also be having a negative reaction to the long term affects of taking Seroquel that he seems to be experiencing. I do not wish to focus on that as much as find out from the community any and all after effects from taking Seroquel - and secondly if taking opioids after Seroquel can also effect him.
I did read that gingers, like green onion, garlic, Sichuan pepper, pepper and chili, are considered hot ingredients and harmful to people with diseases hot in nature, of which hepatitis is one. Other "hot" diseases include common cold, dysentery, psychosis, diabetes, cancer, nephritis, rheumatism, wintercough, high blood pressure, etc.
As for vitamins, they need to come from vegetables/fruits, not from labs.
I had ACDF with a titanium plate at C5-C6 and I swear that when it is really cold outside that I can feel the coldness of the actual titanium plate. Is this actually possible and does anyone else experience this? It is not painful, just noticible.
I am no doctor, but i am an addict quitting cold turkey at the same time as you. I am almost certain that your sense of smell will come back over the next couple of weeks, months, and depending on how much usage years. I got my info from a college study group lecture on cocaine about 4 years ago. Even severe usage sufferers eventually got all of there sense of smell back. It is a combo of physical damage and mental changes.

I am so ashamed and so sick of the chase to get that next high and have decided to quit cold turkey. It has been ALMOST a full 72 hours and i still feel terrible. The first day i really thought i might die, the next day i felt a bit better on and off but today i still feel like ****!! Does anyone know how much longer i have to go before i start feeling better and am able to do things i need to do??? Right now it takes all i have in me to bathe my daughter and take care of her.
I have been taking Norco 10/325 at 5 to 6 a day for disc fusion at C5-6 level for 4 years now. Presently starting second day of detox. It is a forced detox as no refills filled on a holiday. My situation is I have another fusion (C6-7) on Thursday and would like to not have to go through this insanity again. Any information would be greatly useful.
finger prick test. At six wks post exposer., i had body aches, rash and felt feverish and cold at the same time. That lasted less then 24hrs. At 5.5 mo. i had body aches, major sweeaing for two days and fever of 101.7 for 24 hrs. I never developed a cold though after those syotoms. I then, (now) took the 7 mo. test 6 wks. after those last syptoms, it was neg. My major concern is could i have not had enough time to srecoversion?
In this time frame I have done about 80 2mg tablets spread through out the last 14 weeks. The last week I have had flu/cold which has made my anxiety (I think) worse as in I am spaced out/lightheaded, fatigued, shortness of breath sonhave had the most diazepam I have had in one week, Mon - 1, Tues - 0 Weds - 2, Thurs - 1 Friday I had 3, yesterday I had 4. So in the last week I have had 11 x 2mg Diazepam.
In Nov. 2004, I had a spinal fusion with instrumentation to correct the 70 degree curve in my back (double curve and twisted like a spiral staircase). I am fused from T1 - L2, and I recently developed a stress fracture on my L5. The type of work that I do puts alot of stress on my back. I have always had pain in my thoracic spine, after the surgery the pain between my shoulder blades actually increased. This is due partially to the hardware that portrudes out in that area.
