There is a thing called cold urticaria, as well as heat urticaria. Some people get hives in response to too much heat or too much cold, or sometimes other triggers (my grandfather apparently gets it from water--my grandmother jokes he's the only boy allergic to soap and water). I don't think it's at all dangerous, just annoying, and the only thing I know of to do is avoid the trigger.

And for him to be a doctor he should know pregnant women are more emotional and taunts like that as funny as he thinks it is could cause pre or post natal depression. Personally I'm a real smart *** and would start calling him Pops or grandad and say things like oh you've already said that to me just a couple minutes ago... did you forget your alzheimer meds today. I'm sure he wouldn't like it if you constantly poked fun at his age or state of mind....just food for thought.
Yeah you're right I shouldn't take some of the jokes as offensive. But it also bothers me when I hear people saying she's a ****, probably has an STD dont have anything to do with her. But I guess I should learn to turn a blind eye to this.
I am a very nice person and want people to get to know me first before they see me as a guy who has herpes. I know several people with herpes who told someone about it, who then told another person about it and so on. Eventually, everyone pretty much knew they had it. I think it is cruel, but it seemed like these people were almost ostracized from the dating community. The stigma surrounding herpes is far worse than the actual disease.

I have been adding jokes etc to this forum in order to try and raise spirits as the people here battle their demons. Ususlly I would try to add words of encouragement in my posts in the hope that it would help others to move on in their attempts at withdrawal. I hope that in that vein I have succeeded in doing so for some here. In one of my posts in the past I was more or less humphed at for my opinion.
Out son is 3 yrs 10 mos old. First child, my wife and I assumed he was going along very well until around 5 months ago we had a parent teacher conference at preschool where we were told by the teacher she was concerned that he wasn't making good eye contact, would answer some questions off topic, or would repeat a line from a movie or interrupt. She also felt that he played by himself a lot, but would play games of chase with the other kids.
We got another ultrasound and everything looks good still. The baby was waving, kicking, and even somersaulted. My husband jokes the baby's a lot tougher and in better shape then we are, which is definitely true right now.
For the first three to six months I will be toxic and will avoid pregnant women and children as wll as avoiding any lengthy contact with others. This does not mean that I will not be here on this forum. As I consider you all my friends, I felt that as such you are entitled to know what is happening because this is what friends do. It is not life threatening and is merely another episode in my life. I might add that my prostate cancer is very slow growing and poses no threat to me at this time.
I have a 3year old neice and a 6 year nephew. I know my nephew has been touched' my neice I recently cough watching dirty videos and now she's telling hwe brother dirty jokes...I ask her and she cryes and shuts down. I'm scared something happened . .I know the signs Cuz I too as a younger child have had more than enough of the bad touch experience. . I told her mom and she just kinda ends the topic right there...
