is it wrong to hate christmas? not the meaning but the hype that has seem to take over? I don't want to decorate, listen to christmas music, watch christmas shows. I refuse to shop, am sending checks to the family this year. not sure I even want to go home for the holiday. would rather just stay in TN and veg. I know it is cold in In, it was almost 60 here yesterday so am not looking forward to the weather among other things.

So i have been trying to figure out a cute outfit for christmas but am failing. Anybody know what they are wearing? I only fit in leggings and HATE maternity pants.

Every year we go to sils house on christmas eve for dinner and presents. This year i am not sure i want to attend christmas with his family. I will have only been home 2 days, i will have a newborn, and the last thing i want is a sick newborn because we got her out when it was really cold. But im really not sure what to do :( i know im still going to be in pain, and not feeling well too. But i dont want to come off as anti social or rude. So im not sure what to do?

I developed malaria in Vietnam in the late 1960s. Last Christmas I had one vodka tonic which I never drink. About two hours afterward I developed uncontrollable shivering and felt extremely cold. This lasted for several hours. Last evening a had another vodka tonic , the first since last Christmas. The same thing happened. Any idea why? I won' t drink that again, but I am wondering what could cause this.

I'm 9 days in being free of opiates and suboxone. I have no urges to relapse for the first time in 4 years of teetering between pills and suboxone. However, the withdrawals symptoms seem to change every day. For the last 3 days I feel like I have the worst cold ever. I cant stop sneezing, I'm constantly congested and my throat hurts. I've tried cold meds and it's not helping. Mentally I feel myself healing, but I get waves of depression and anxiety at times.

Its like 14 here in Ohio but feels alot colder i hate the cold.

My feet and hands are always freezing cold and my feet although they are cold, they sweat . I'm always under blankets about three and I have socks on. Do any other pregnant mom's feel like this?

Dear Snickers, I hope that you and the beagle had a very merry X-mas. I hope you guys got lots of special yummies to eat and some new fun toys to play with. I know that it's been very cold where you live, but as soon as it warms up some I bet your mom will let ya out to play for a little while! Snickers, did you get that sexy green speedo with the rhinestones that you've been telling us about? Sure wish that I can see ya in it sometime-MEEE-OWWW!!!

My mom died 2 years ago and my 84 yr. old father and I are still unable to put up lights, the tree and decorate the house inside out. We just can't. I had 7 deaths in 8 months, wihch included my mother, brother in law, fiance's father 2 weeks after mom, mom's best friends who attended her wake, 2 friends from cancer (one who died in the same hospital and same room and bed as mom) and my brother loss his first child 2 week's before Christmas.

Drove almost 12 hours yesterday, and the air temp was about 12 most of the way. That's Fahrenheit. Not sure I've done the math right, but I think that's -11.111 Celsius. Cold. Very cold. Once I got over the initial shock of being pregnant the worst thing I could have imagined was that my baby would be born on my Christmas Day due date. Who wants to have a birthday on Christmas. And surely my other kids would not take well to having to share Christmas with their sister's birthday!! I quickly learned the hard way that that would not be the worst thing. I've had many hurdles to overcome with this pregnancy.

Wild. I've heard people talk about it, and I've had the cold and wet sensation intermittently, but this has been going on for two days. I've got a cold and wet patch (that's perfectly dry) on the outside of my right thigh, another on my left knee, and one on the back of my left calf. It's a little disconcerting. Has anybody ever heard a cause (or preventative!) for this symptom?

cold [same symptoms as before, except add ear pain/popping after coughing/blowing nose so much] -April '08: cold, only lasted a couple of days -May '08: cold, this has been with me for over a week, plus add headache, dizziness, neck pain, and a nose that will not unclog no matter how much I blow it! Also got a sore throat. The ear pain is back but it's not persistent like the one before and I haven't lost my hearing for more than a few minutes.

I'm off tx almost 3wks now. I'd like to have my 9 yr old niece over night, so we can do a pre Christmas activity together. I just found out, that she has a cold. Normally, Iwouldn't worry about a little cold, but my wbc has been < 2 all through tx., and my system is obviously run down. I'd ask my Dr. but it's afterhours. Should I cancel? I'd rather not. I feel silly asking this, makes me feel like a hypochondriac.

i sure jinxed myself yesterday! I said I only had a tiny cold that i caught from my 3 yr old and i had no complaints about it. Hahahahah. OMG i woke about 2 a.m. hacking my head off, sore and super scratchy throat, runny/plugged nose and aching all over!! UGHHH we are supposed to have relatives from out of town dropping by late this morning too. I dont feel like having visitors lol. btw our weather is INSANE. Just a few mornings ago it was -3 with windchills near -25 below zero.

t going to be there when he is and they are just going to fight and make everything worse. Everything I wanted for Christmas is ruined my husband is on midnights both days and now my family is acting stupid. I'm 35 weeks pregnant with a cold and tendinitis in my wrist. All I wanted was everything to be nice and everyone to be happy and all I get is a smack in the face.

So glad your husband is back safely and I hope he can be home for a while. My husband and i have an empty nest, but my 2 daughters, son in law, daughter's fiancee, and son will all be home tonight. My daughter who lives across the country ( I am in US) has a 4 year old foster child who will be joining us this year.
