coffee

568812 tn?1379165794 recently, ive noticed (not all the time) that when i drink coffee, i get awful sensations in my guts. i wouldnt say it was pain but its very very very uncomfortable...thats the only way i can describe them. So, could this simply be a coffee intolerance? i dont think its caffiene cause i drink monster lots and that doesnt effect me.
Avatar n tn There are herbs that are used for this, as well as oils such as castor oil and jojoba, as mentioned above, and the products formulated for this combine things to make them stronger than just using one thing. If you have a good local health foods store they should have some of these products on the shelf, and consulting Prescription for Nutritional Healing and Prescription for Herbal Healing can be a good general resource.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you're having digestion problems. The most problematic of the foods you mention generally are first, the milk, second, the sugar, and third the coffee. But it's hard to say since diet is very complicated, and you don't say how soon after eating you laid down. Chamomile is a good stomach relaxant and anti-inflammatory, perhaps try some of that instead of the coffee, milk, and sugar and see how you do, assuming you don't need the coffee to stay awake.
Avatar n tn This is I think a company, not a product, that is very controversial as it's believed by many to be a pyramid scheme rather than a company that knows or cares anything about its products. That's also my opinion, having spent 18 years in the health food industry. But if you're talking about a particular product, we need to know the exact product to tell you if the ingredients are safe or not.
Avatar f tn I have three children and one on the way. All of which I have drank caffinated beverages. My children are fine. They say it can be linked to ADHD, but my oldest has ADHD and my other two DON'T. So who can really say? I think in moderation you will be fine. Shoot, we inhale and consume worse things on a daily basis without even knowing it. Think about it, for year they said nuts were bad for cholesterol and now it has certain health benefits. There are many other products like that.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 20 years old and I've recently been prescribed a small dose of Eutroxsig (a 50mg tablet per day). My blood tests showed I was showing decrease in my TSH and I'm apparently showing symptoms that could potentially turn into thyroditis one day, though I'm wondering if these symptoms could also be due to my poor sleep schedule, diet and lack of exercise.
Avatar f tn Also bear in mind Splenda makes a sugar blend and a brown sugar blend. Yes, these Splenda products contain sugar, ½ tsp = 2 grams (Seven grams equals one heaping Tablespoon of sugar). When buying pre-made retail products its a good idea to always ask what Splenda "they" are using.
579258 tn?1250649343 I also use a lot of agave nectar. I drink a lot of green (or other flavored) tea (had to quit drinking coffee) and I like the taste of agave nectar for a change of pace. In a pinch, I will use splenda if I run out of both stevia and agave nectar which is rare, or if I'm at a restaurant. Agave nectar can be purchased in the health food section of the grocery store, but I've only found one grocery store that carries stevia. I get it at the health food store.
Avatar f tn My dr was fine with caffeine. My baby girl is just fine. I drank coffee and soda the whole time. So did my sisters and all 5 of their boys are fine. 1 cup a day is really ok. You can call your dr office and just ask the nurse tho.
Avatar f tn Every time i eat or drink anything with milk products my lungs want to close up. I try soy products i just break out. so what I can use keep myself healthy .
Avatar f tn From what I have read aspertame (artificial sweetener) has been studied for health/safety effects worldwide and has been found safe. That said, if you are a heavy user, say drinking several "servings" a day, you may want to experiment by cutting back and seeing if you experience any reduction in arrhythmia. I drink at least a liter (two or three glasses) of artificially diet soda a day... and I suffer from AFib. The soda I drink is also caffeine free.
Avatar m tn You can avoid food that are known to trigger migraine headaches such as peanuts and peanut butter, caffeine in all products ( tea, coffee, soda), dairy products, beans, avocados, dried meats, canned soups and packet soup mixes, banana, soya products as well as the bean itself, sodium nitrate (used to preserve hot dogs, bacon and cured meats), MSG, cheeses ,red wines, beer, champagne, and chocolate. Majority are those that are highly processed and manufactured food products.
Avatar m tn Another reason I feel that it is not a problem is due to the health advantages that coffee has, according to many health studies and reports (assuming this is not just propaganda). I have found that whether or not I drink coffee, the symptoms remain. Another bit of history that I have not revealed is that I am a Gulf War veteran and was in Saudi Arabia / Kuwait / Iraq throughout a one year period.
Avatar f tn ve been trying to eat healthy and I have shrimp salads or chicken salads for dinner, breakfast is usually kix cereal or honey nut cherios with a banana and coffee. For lunch just have a sandwich on a healthy bread and use mustard instead of mayo. For snacks I enjoy fruit , pretzels, yogurt, rice cakes, or carrots. There's a great website called myfitnesspal.com it has been helping me out alot! Goodluck and I hope this helped!
Avatar m tn I am taking magnesium to try to help. I dont suffer from anxiety and I am in great health and shape. How do I stop this and how and why did it start.
Avatar f tn I hope this can help people a little, because maybe trying avoiding milk and using products made only from cream will help. I do believe some cream based products have milk in them, so try to only buy products that only contain cream, and see if that works. Milk probably contains some kind of protein that cream doesn't that causes people problems. You can be lactose intolerant too, but if lactose free milk makes you feel sick, just avoid all milk in general.
Avatar n tn I am 24 weeks pregnant tomorrow with baby #3 and the sleepless nights are starting to kick in. I really want, and need some coffee but I am nervous to drink it while pregnant. I know having a little caffeine is not bad and I have a soda every now and then but I've never had caffeinated coffee during any of my pregnancies. What do y'all think?
755829 tn?1246919225 Hi there, I provide some basic advice on other forums, but am looking for some advice of my own now, I am wondering if there are health benefits in cutting out coffee and replacing it with decafe coffee, some friends say its good others say it's no better?
Avatar f tn While my diet had very little protein as I was a vegetarian, I could now finally have the protein I always craved and I found it in soy frozen food products. I also developed a love for coffee to keep me going with all the issues I was going through at that time. So here I had my soy food to finally eat and coffee with cream and sugar to keep me feeling good. I'm a short girl, but I was drinking 3 to 4 cups of coffee at work every day.
Avatar f tn It is great that you are looking out for your own health and the baby. There are different studies about coffee drinking while pregnant. It is still recommended not to drink caffeine drinks: coffee, teas, sodas (Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew to name a few). Decaf drinks do have a minimal amount of caffeine, however, they are safer to drink. Suggest increasing your consummation of water, which is a healthy benefit. Thank you for your question.
Avatar f tn Yes..you need to steer clear of raw fish and fish high in mercury and deli meat that hasn't been microwaved for over 2 minutes. Sugar substitutes in moderation and one cup or coffee a day.
