Avatar f tn There are basically two types of smoker, the habitual smoker and the addicted smoker. Both are very different and cause different effects to the body when giving up. The habitual smoker simply has 'triggers' to signal light up time. Such as drinking coffee, having nothing to do, reading the paper. The addicted smoker has a loud shouting voice which shouts "time for more drugs" when the levels in the blood drop below a certain level.
Avatar f tn I'm already 32 weeks and my hubby is concern that I drink coffee every morning .. I did some research and it says its only dangerous in the beginning. I also read that it takes longer for the caffeine to get out your system .. What can coffee cause your baby to have ? Or any health issues ?
Avatar f tn Do any of you have your cup of coffee in the morning still? I'm 4w3d and I just want one cup in the morning. Is it horrible for me?
755829 tn?1246919225 I recommend cutting out all coffee. But if you must drink coffee then yes, I would say that decaff is better than regular coffee. Decaff contains little to no caffeine while regular coffee contains high amounts of caffeine. Caffeine can cause MANY problems. I would name them all but it would take me a very long time. Look at this website for further information on caffeine and the side effects it has. Some you have probably already had and didn't even notice.
Avatar n tn It sounds like you might be singing too much in your middle voice instead of your head voice. That is very hard on the vocal cords and needs correcting. Of course there are medical conditions you might want to be checked for as well, like acid reflux and vocal cord dysfunction.
Avatar f tn but when I was in my 2nd month I use to only crave for coffee.infact the after effects of coffee was not that good since I wud after many hours get palpitations n panic feeling all over my body.Soon I realised that starbucks serves Decaff and I started drinking one cup of decaff a day for a few months which was perfectly fine and suited me..Also now I dont crave for coffee any more the way I use too.so I would suggest you have a Decaff..
728897 tn?1231388093 ve been told to stay away from chocolote, peppermint, coffee, spicy foods, etc. All I pretty much can handle except for coffee. I love to drink coffee like 3 or 4 times a day. However, in the past week, I've switched from regular to decaf. I think that decaf is not a danger to acid reflux, is that true? Anybody know? Thanks again.

1139187 tn?1355706647 I gave up caffeine years ago when I went hyper. You couldn't pay me money to drink it and make my heart wackier than it normally is. I do miss it though. I loved coffee =(.
Avatar m tn I know I've asked this before, but what KIND of stimulant effect will Adderrall have if I don't have ADD? Amild one like drining a 12 oz soft drink with caffeine? A major effect like 5 cups of very strong coffee? I'm not a coffee drinker so 3 cups of strong coffee really hypes me up. If I have mild to moderate depression and can't take anit-depresants, will Adderrall still calm me if I don't have ADD?
Avatar n tn Both cause some thyroid enlargement, occassional hoarse voice and sore throat - but PPT does the latter two more commonly. Hair loss is due to postpartum and the hyper combo - not likely the tapazole - it will stop usually within 2 months of starting.
Avatar m tn Many of the antidepressants can cause stomach issues. I can't really recommend anything because I'm not a Dr but I think you should talk to your Dr about this and ask what you can safely take with the Effexor.
Avatar n tn Is it possible for a hiatial hernia to cause problems with my throat and voice. My symptoms are loss of voice when I talk for a little while---I can no longer sing---I can't get any range at all----my voice has grown so low that when I answer the phone people think its my husband answering. If you have any ideas I'd certainly appreciate it. Thank you very much.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me that tea is safe to drink and a good alternative to coffee. I only have 1 cuppa coffee in the morning.
Avatar m tn So I'm 17 and I'm a singer. I was having a lot of strange interference with my voice (persistent post nasal drip, vocal reactions to coffee, and subtle things), so I recently got checked out and diagnosed with reflux. They gave me this whole list of things to avoid, which you know (tomatoes, acidy fruits, coffee, alcohol, whole milk, etc.) and perscribed medication. I forget.... Maybe prilosec? But there's so much I haven't tried!
Avatar n tn Right now, I am taking Prevacid 30mg. My voice at times is hoarse, so I went to an ENT dr. and he sent me for a test to look into my throat, and I was told that I have swollen vocal cords, and the acid is still backing up. I took Prilosec OTC but it did not agree with me. I have rashes on my knees, elbows, back and my neck and back and head hurt, Is the Prevacid enough and could it be causing all these symptoms?
631676 tn?1333718203 Guess what ladies. On Prometrium again for the first time since June 2010 and voice is changing again! I sound like I am a night time radio DJ. Same as last time. Weird.
907968 tn?1292622204 Because of some new insite, because of my thyroid numbers have been stable for quite some time, and because of a medical symptom that we think might be related to thyroid medication, we (Dr and me) want to stop levothroxine for a month to see if this other medical symptom improves. Assuming I stop levothroxin for two + months, during this time frame, what side effects might be expected? I.E.
