coffee

Avatar f tn For the past two nights my stomach has been feeling weird, like a bit tight. There's a faint pain, but not so bad. Also I'm a little bit nauseated. In the mornings I have been drinking a lot of coffee and was wondering If that could be thr cause. Also, I'm taking an allergy medicine called Talion tablet. I think thr side effects are nausea and stomach agitation. So..I wonder if it's from thr coffee or the medicine. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn re supposed to take it on an empty stomach (1/2 hr before eating) but does that include coffee???? Uhg ... I need my cup of joe 1st thing!!!!
Avatar m tn Many of the antidepressants can cause stomach issues. I can't really recommend anything because I'm not a Dr but I think you should talk to your Dr about this and ask what you can safely take with the Effexor.

1431041 tn?1285670763 He will be walking to get a cup of coffee and double over with the pain. I have read info on side effects and things to do to help with them. I was wondering if any one else is experiencing this kind of pain and what they are doing to help make it less severe(if possible). Thanks for listening.
Avatar f tn I see in the articles where coffee supports liver function in cirrhosis as well as possibly attaining SVR whilst treating Hepatitis C but seemed to overlook the article where coffee eases the side effects (while treating the virus) Do you happen to have the link for the article about how coffee eases the side effects I'm just curious if it is coffee per se or perhaps other caffeinated beverages such as green tea (or whatever) would apply.
Avatar f tn I was told that if your stomach is sensitive to coffee, that it could have the same effects as Castor oil, as far as helping to start contractions? I do have a sensitivity to coffee, If I drink even 1 cup, it sends me to the bathroom (#2) several times, and I heard that having soft frequent stools like that can stimulate the uterus to contract. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this? And if anyone has used coffee to help bring on labor? Im officially desperate lmao.
1026267 tn?1257591273 Yes, that means NO coffee either! I can't stress enough how important it is to take it on an EMPTY stomach. Meaning, absolutely nothing but water should be taken with Synthroid. I take it faithfully every morning on an empty stomach with two glasses of water and then eat an hour after. It is also important that you take it every day at the same time! Its not as effective when you don't take it as prescribed. I have been taking it for almost 18 years.
Avatar f tn I'm already 32 weeks and my hubby is concern that I drink coffee every morning .. I did some research and it says its only dangerous in the beginning. I also read that it takes longer for the caffeine to get out your system .. What can coffee cause your baby to have ? Or any health issues ?
Avatar f tn Do any of you have your cup of coffee in the morning still? I'm 4w3d and I just want one cup in the morning. Is it horrible for me?
755829 tn?1246919225 I recommend cutting out all coffee. But if you must drink coffee then yes, I would say that decaff is better than regular coffee. Decaff contains little to no caffeine while regular coffee contains high amounts of caffeine. Caffeine can cause MANY problems. I would name them all but it would take me a very long time. Look at this website for further information on caffeine and the side effects it has. Some you have probably already had and didn't even notice.
2048234 tn?1330814100 I would be careful with the coffee, it may make your stomach upset. Drink hot tea, it has caffene. I found that peppermint tea really help my stomach.

4526747 tn?1356283415 I'm 38 weeks 4 days and I would love a cup of coffee, now I have been really good. I haven't been drinking soda or coffee throughout my whole pregnancy. Now that I'm so far along is it okay for me to have just one little cup of coffee? I miss it so much! Lol.
Avatar f tn I then realized it was the coffee I was drinking every morning. To test my theory, I switched from morning coffee to morning tea (Black tea). My stomach flu symptoms stopped. This morning, without thinking about it, I drunk coffee. Half-way through the day, my "stomach flu" symptoms returned. Is it possible to just be allergic to the coffee itself? I drink sodas and caffeinated teas often without issue. Why the sudden allergy to coffee? I've drunk it for years without it.
Avatar f tn Plavix can cause many stomach issues including gastritis which is inflammation of the stomach lining. http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Anti-platelets-clopidogrel/Pages/Side-effects.
Avatar f tn Coffee is fine! Just try to limit caffeine.
Avatar f tn Did you drink all of this on an empty stomach? Do you drink coffee often? Possibly dehydration. If you drink lots of water do you feel better? I might go and see a doctor just to make sure all is well. Feeling nauseous with heart symptoms is something that should be checked out. It is likely nothing but best to let a doctor look at you.

Avatar f tn I'm not sure about coffee on treatment, but coffee has definetely been proven in clinical tests to help prevent Cirrhosis of the liver in alcoholics. Ask your doctor...
Avatar n tn t anything new, many posts like it but I suffer from upset stomach / running stomach attacks every so often. Uncomfortable bloating almost everyday of the month, at least 3 days spread out with cramps and 1 day of running stomach. I am trying to find out why this is happening, I am highly stressed and know this can affect IBS. The GP I see has mentioned that he thinks this is the reason for most of my problems but haven't gone for any tests. Are there any?

Avatar n tn ve been experiencing extreme burning sensations in the centre and right side of my stomach (also the upper abdominal). It sometimes feel like I get heartburn from this and it makes me nauseas at times (but I don't vomit). It almost feel like a constant hunger pain. I also get a lower back pain sometimes and I dont know if there pains might be related.
Avatar f tn I have a terrible time with weather changes, especially lightning storms. Sometimes I get so dizzy I can't move. Haven't found anything to relieve it, but drinking a lot of Coke helps some (can't stomach coffee). I can't take Benadryl, as it makes my symptoms much worse.
Avatar f tn A fatal dose of caffeine would be 10 grams of coffee or about 80 cups of coffee all at once. While you are not likely drinking anywhere near a fatal dose, you are probably experiencing some serious consequences from your heavy intake of caffeine. Are you addicted to the caffeine?
