I'm trying to drink coffee again. I alway grind beans fresh and use a french press. It's just so much to do and get fat grams and get to work. I do drink a couple of cups at work. Thanks for the reminder..

I recommend cutting out all coffee. But if you must drink coffee then yes, I would say that decaff is better than regular coffee. Decaff contains little to no caffeine while regular coffee contains high amounts of caffeine. Caffeine can cause MANY problems. I would name them all but it would take me a very long time. Look at this website for further information on caffeine and the side effects it has. Some you have probably already had and didn't even notice.

My adult children use artificial sweeteners in their coffee and only drink "diet" drinks. I don't think that this is a safe practice in the amounts that they consume. Any advice that I can share with them would be appreciated.

I'm already 32 weeks and my hubby is concern that I drink coffee every morning .. I did some research and it says its only dangerous in the beginning. I also read that it takes longer for the caffeine to get out your system .. What can coffee cause your baby to have ? Or any health issues ?

Depends on who you talked to. I quit but many ob's say that in moderation coffee is OK.

but when I was in my 2nd month I use to only crave for coffee.infact the after effects of coffee was not that good since I wud after many hours get palpitations n panic feeling all over my body.Soon I realised that starbucks serves Decaff and I started drinking one cup of decaff a day for a few months which was perfectly fine and suited me..Also now I dont crave for coffee any more the way I use too.so I would suggest you have a Decaff..

I have three children and one on the way. All of which I have drank caffinated beverages. My children are fine. They say it can be linked to ADHD, but my oldest has ADHD and my other two DON'T. So who can really say? I think in moderation you will be fine. Shoot, we inhale and consume worse things on a daily basis without even knowing it. Think about it, for year they said nuts were bad for cholesterol and now it has certain health benefits. There are many other products like that.

t have a reason for this seen a neurologist and he thinks its his ssri he is on, I doubt that since he has been on ssri for 20 yrs no effects ever from them.

I know I've asked this before, but what KIND of stimulant effect will Adderrall have if I don't have ADD? Amild one like drining a 12 oz soft drink with caffeine? A major effect like 5 cups of very strong coffee? I'm not a coffee drinker so 3 cups of strong coffee really hypes me up. If I have mild to moderate depression and can't take anit-depresants, will Adderrall still calm me if I don't have ADD?

I stopped drinking coffee during early w/d's as it made my anxiety 10x worse. I would suggest not using any stimulants during w/d's or during very low tapers, It will aggravate the roughness your feeling. I went with plain old water and still do now, although tea has found its way back in. I must say I you are seriously hammering the Splenda, I'm sure you could lower it easy enough. Your poor oatmeal might not talk to you no more though, lol.
