Avatar m tn I think I am caffeine intolerant. I thought caffeine only stayed in the body for 6 hours or so, but I swear it stays in me for more like 36 to 48 hours. If I ingest too much caffeine, I remain with anxiety for a couple of days. If I take in more caffeine, it just extends my misery. Seems my threshold is around 100 mg. I experience heart palpitations and "skipping". My doctor says it doesn't remain in the body but a few hours and water will flush it out. I don't believe him.

Avatar f tn Yesterday, I swam 10 laps in the pool and then went for a run (training for a mini-triathlon aka sprint). During the run, I suddenly started feeling like I was getting shocked. Not like when you are shocked by static but more like I touched an electric fence (one that they have to keep animals in a yard). The shock runs through my entire body, my muscles get weak, I get very dizzy and feel as if I'm going to faint then it suddenly goes away.
Avatar n tn My ob advised me to start taking prenatal vitamins and stop drinking coffee when I started the cycle. In general, you do not need to do anything special to prepare your body for ivf although I heard that losing weight (if you are overweight or obese) helps. Good luck!

445583 tn?1220270052 things have leveled off a bit but i still have cravings for mountain dew and peanut butter. in fact i have a jar of extra crunchy beside my bed that calls to me in the middle of the night. but it's been a while now since i woke up shaking, nauseous and desperate for unconsciousness. i can exercise to stay in shape but it doesn't do much for replacing brain cells. anyhoo, congrads on 34 and keep going! as long as we don't pick up the first one, we can deal with the other stuff.

Avatar f tn it makes my blood pressure go up temporarily from 115/74ish to 137/82 or so. is this a normal thing in the morning? It is causing me to wake up in the night with panic attack like symptoms. I have been to a card. and had ekg, stress test and echocardiogram. thyroid fine sugar levels fine. This is only in the morning and middle of the night.Doctor can't find anything wrong and want me to take antidepressants. I am totally fearful of med. and side effects.

Avatar f tn Oh well I use to hate coffee all my life.but when I was in my 2nd month I use to only crave for coffee.infact the after effects of coffee was not that good since I wud after many hours get palpitations n panic feeling all over my body.Soon I realised that starbucks serves Decaff and I started drinking one cup of decaff a day for a few months which was perfectly fine and suited me..Also now I dont crave for coffee any more the way I use too.so I would suggest you have a Decaff..

Avatar f tn i don't think you're supposed to consume more than 300mg per day. like 1-2 8oz cups of coffee. its most important in your 1st trimester when the risk for miscarriage4 is higher. i'm 31wks right now and i drink one cup of coffee in the morning and one cup of coffee in the evening... i have 3 kids all under age 5 so for me i really can't function very well w/out it. but i didn't hardly any my 1st trimester partly b/c the smell of it made me sick!

I also took Zyrtec-D, which contains Cetirizine from UCB of Switzerland, as a decongestant in the morning, but now stop because of taking Clarinase. I have gained a lot of weight since November due to hypothyroid and nodules on my thyroid. I just had a biopsy done on that, but it wasn't enough cells to determine anything. I am scheduled to go back to the Endo Wednesday to see where we go next on the thyroid issue and I will give him the results on my readings.
