Common Questions and Answers about Coffee caffeine chart

coffee

Avatar f tn So I'm Maby a month pregers and my mom told me I can't have caffeine but my sister said I could and my friend said I could but only 12oz. I want to ask my doctor but he can't see me for another week what do I do?
Avatar f tn When you have caffeine daily your body gets used to it so it is hard to break it. I found a chart on baby center and you can have 200mg of caffeine a day safely. Coffee can have between 100 and 300 mg a cup though depending on where it is from. Soda only has about35 mg a can and energy drinks have around 90.
Avatar f tn Only drink coffee from your own pot and read the pot to see how many cups are left at the end of the day. If you make a second pot, you have to add the numbers together. Say you drank 4 cups from the first pot and 2 cups from the second. Six cups, although you may have fit them easily into 3 coffee mugs.
Avatar f tn I drink soda still not everyday but probably close enough lol and as for coffee I only drink decaf but thats cuz the caffeine upsets my stomach.

Avatar f tn I love my caffeine! Sofa coffee whatever keeps me going, how many of you found it really hard to cut back being that your pregnant?
Avatar f tn Actually, studies show those who have fatty liver benefit from caffeine. Coffee caffeine consumption is associated with a significant reduction in risk of fibrosis among NASH patients. Drinking coffee may help prevent diabetes as caffeine may be the ingredient largely responsible for this effect. Looks like you will be changing doctors. I'd discuss it with your new doctor but would not avoid caffeine in the interim unless of course there is a medical reason for it.

Avatar f tn (See the chart below to get a sense of the caffeine content of various types of coffee, tea, and other common sources.) Of course, if you decide to cut out caffeine altogether, you won't get any arguments from your doctor or midwife. Are there other risks besides miscarriage? Yes. Because caffeine causes blood vessels to constrict, it may reduce blood flow to the placenta.
Avatar f tn Yes coffee has a lot more caffeine than soda. I just don't like soda because of the sugar..
Avatar f tn In the beginning of my pregnancy i drank a lot of pop cause its all i craved until my cousin yelled at me. It can cause still birth (caffeine) so i completely stopped the caffeine drinking. I only drink sprite & gingerale if i want pop. I hate coffee so thats not a prob for me. Id say try drinking pop with no caffeine. I drank a coke the other day and through it all up.
Avatar f tn t good for the baby, I used to drink a 20 Oz espresso every day, but the Dr said that about the cup of one cup of coffee is okay, as long as you are not exceeding 200mg of caffeine, that applies to tea too. And absolutely no energy drinks. I completely stopped drinking coffee all the way and I was the biggest addict.
1123420 tn?1350561158 t ever drink caffeine, Today I woke up and my mom was making coffee, I miss coffee so much. So I decided to have a cup.. Should I feel guilty?
Avatar f tn Ive never heard of long term affects a safe amount of caffeine has on the baby. I drink either a coffee, or once a week a pop instead. This is my third pregnancy to do this. I just steer clear of mountain dew cause it has higher caffeine and i only have one or sometimes two regular sized cups of coffee a day.
Avatar f tn Yes its ok,we are allowed up to between 200/300mg of caffeine a day..
Avatar f tn I drink coffee all day... it is not good but I'm not good without my coffee. Lol.. I have never had any trouble but I know it is thought to cause problems during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Just curious, as I have been trying to FILL UP on caffeine for the last 2 weeks, with coffee and 5 hour energy drinks. Would I be better off without all the caffeine?
Avatar n tn Iced coffee is all I drink when I do drink coffee a few times a week and by googling the caffeine content an iced coffee actually has LESS caffeine in it then the hot coffee of the same order size! Your totally fine in having a coffee a day, or having decaf coffee which has minimal amounts of caffeine!
Avatar f tn How much caffeine does everyone drink a day? I have at least 1 coffee a day. Just wondering if that will affect baby in anyway?
Avatar f tn I know ur not suppose to drink coffee because its bad for the baby all the caffeine an all but is decaf okay? I drink coffee for the caffeine i just love the way it tastes!
Avatar n tn I drink red bull or energy drinks, they have less Caffine than coffee. But they say 200mg/day is safe. I have more than that up to 300mg, did through all pregnancies and this is baby#5. All my kids are fine. Just make sure you drink the 2 liters of water/day so you don't get dehydrated.
Avatar n tn I am 24 weeks pregnant ftm. I have been drinking my daily cup of coffee everyday. My doctor said one small cup a day or under 200 mg of caffeine per day is fine. However the more I read the worse i feel, like I shouldn't be doing it. I eat relatively healthy, don't drink don't smoke. Has anyone drank coffee throughout their pregnancies? Did it have any effects on your baby?
