Common Questions and Answers about Coffee addiction symptoms

coffee

Avatar f tn The only symptoms I'm getting with this pregnancy is sore breasts and being exhausted all the time. I don't think I could cut out caffeine all together on my work days. I work with the elderly...
Avatar m tn The addiction and cause of the headaches (when you stop the Excedrin) is probably the caffeine. Two Excedrin Migraine have 130 mg of caffeine, which is more than a McDonald's small coffee. I'm considering taking Excedrin -- instead of drinking coffee (because coffee upsets my stomach and Excedrin doesn't).
Avatar f tn Is there anyone in tge Brampton Ontario area who may want to go have a coffee, I could really use someone to talk to this is so hard....
Avatar f tn So I'm not a smoker, a drinker or a drug user like at all but I have recently taken up an iced coffee addiction and I was wondering if it's really bad to drink a glass once a day? I do have a weakness for soda however because my iced coffee addiction is more important I've substituted that for juice so I can have my iced coffee so I don't feel too guilty about all the caffeine. And what's worse is I hate drinking water.... I know I have to but it's so hard. Any advice?

Avatar m tn I have actually quit drinking coffee a few times for months at a time with no problems. I started drinking it again last year after approximately one year of abstinence. I don't really want to call it an addiction since I can quit at will and I don't need it, I just simply love the taste. Another reason I feel that it is not a problem is due to the health advantages that coffee has, according to many health studies and reports (assuming this is not just propaganda).

Avatar m tn well I know the NOS drinks really helped me going through wd's. I never got into them before........ I drink coffee too,on top of it, in the morning then the NOS durring the afternoons. so that was a boatload of caffine. but at that time, man I was going through some major 'done wd's, so anything at all to help...... but after two months or longer, I felt I was addicted to them. I was feeling much better, and just stopped going to the store where I got them.
Avatar f tn I would like some input on if it is ok to drink a small cup of decaf coffee once in a while or should I just continue to avoid coffee all together?
Avatar m tn I'm well into my 69th year and I'm dealing with trying to kick an addiction to Percocet. This is my first addiction except for coffee. I took my last capsule a week ago today and I'm still lucky if I get 3-4 hours of sleep at night. I, also, spend much of the night walking the floor because I can't sit still and my insides feel like something is crawling around. My addiction was very light compared to those I've read about on this forum and yet it is still kicking my butt.

Avatar f tn Caffeine addiction is not a far stretch I went through the same thing when I first found out I was pregnant. My doctor told me you can drink either one cup of coffee of you can have a 12oz soda a day and it won't harm the baby.
Avatar f tn not because of any other reason than for some reason I dont like normal coffee when I am, its one of my first pregnancy symptoms! If you feel worried then just switch to decaff, if you try a few brands, you'll probably find one that you like (most taste horrible!

Avatar n tn In my experience, it definitely is a challenge coming off of a benzo like Xanax and there is rebound anxiety and withdrawal symptoms, but understanding this and also gaining more knowledge to deal with your anxiety can help get through this process. I usually advise people to remain patient with the process, even though that is sometimes the last thing we want to hear when we have to deal with anxiety/panic. You WILL get through this...
Avatar f tn If you are a regular drinker of these things it is an addiction kind of and breaking an addiction cold turkey is worse on your baby than drinking it. I chose to not drink a lot of caffeine with my first but I had one cup with my second daily otherwise I was sick. This time around I am limiting but not eliminating. Small amounts are okay but like you it does speed heart rate and all of that. Its your call really but I would say just be cautious and drink extra water to help hydrate yourself.
