Coffee addiction rehab

Common Questions and Answers about Coffee addiction rehab

coffee

Avatar m tn So a hot bath, heating pad, and some good strong coffee, and the day is off. I know meds would make me feel better now, but I know later in the day I would have tha nasty medicated feeling. So I dont take. The thought to take is around but I have no desire to. She needs to let her body get back to normal. She needs to make the decision with a sober head, or it only goes one way.
Avatar m tn So, I just had a cup of coffee in the morning, and the caffeine in that took care of the headaches through the opiate w/d, and when I got out of rehab, I would occasionally skip my cup of coffee to get my body less dependent on it. Now, I have the luxury of taking one aspirin and it actually helping with whatever pain I feel, because my body was no longer used to it.
Avatar n tn t either before, but do now. Addiction *****, but we can break this cycle. There is help out there and rehab is not the only option. Have you ever thought about trying N/A or any other aftercare to stay clean. I think the fact you have told people and admitted your problem is a HUGE step and should be very proud of yourself for that. Keeping it a secret keeps us sick. Stick around this is a great support group. Look in the top right of this page.

317822 tn?1223241475 Detox gets you off the drugs safely, and a little of what rehab does. Rehab deals with learning about your addiction and how to live life without drugs. Once you are done with detox, they will help set you up on some continuing aftercare activities. Like an inpatient rehab, or outpatient rehab, a psychiatrist to follow your meds etc. that kind stuff. Hope this helps?
Avatar m tn She finally admitted that she was hooked and needed help. We got her into a rehab center to hopefully get off them, so we can save our marriage. It is just as hard on me with her not being here becasue she is my best friend and we had our routine of drinking coffee and talking about anything that we want, and it was so depressing to wake up and not see my best friend laying next to me. I was wondering what it is like in rehab.
Avatar n tn Has anyone every been to rehab for drug addiction? If so...I would like to chat with you about my nephew who had to be taken to rehab after an overdose of Xanax.
1814148 tn?1332485798 On Sunday night I will be leaving for a 3 month stay in rehab. I can't wait to get there as there is no peace to be found in the life that I'm living now. I wish everyone health and happiness! Take care and I will connect will you all when I get back!
Avatar n tn inpatient rehab is a must for some, and i have been to a couple.
1511199 tn?1292701545 I needed separation from the drugs and lifestyle I was living and rehab offered just that. Got a lot of education on addiction while I was in there, and it gave me an amazing foundation to build upon with AA/NA. I'd recommend it to any addict who has the means to go.
Avatar n tn I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.

Avatar f tn I'm not proud to say that I'm addicted to pain pills. And I want to quit. I can't afford rehab. I'm going to start today. I already know that the pain will start what I don't know is how long it will last. I'm taking 4 to 6 percocets a day. Can someone answer this question & help me to get through this?
Avatar m tn I do not know what TALWIN is...do you have any more information? Is it an opiate? I was on opiates and detoxed at home going cold turkey. Welcome to this site and we are here to support you. Please provide any additional info about dosage you are on...
Avatar n tn Are you addicted or just dependent? It will work well for addiction, but the rehab would be a waste of money for a dependency. For instance, my Mom had a Klonopin dependency. She tried to go to the same rehab I went to, but was turned away and told to see an addictionologist. He weened her down and she's never had a problem. I however was an addict, and the detox/rehab worked well for me. The induction process at the rehab should tell you whether detox or detox/rehab is warranted.
Avatar f tn I would say that if you are SERIOUS about wanting to stop and financially IP rehab is an option for you, I would jump on that! Rehab will give you the support and aftercare you need to get through this. Have you looked into a place you would go? Have you made any calls yet? I think youve made the biggest step and thats wanting to stop so congrats on that!
Avatar f tn i agree you need to go to rehab....it wll help you in court. but, more than that you can come out of rehab clean and continue to stay that way. there is great support here but i agree na meetings are good too. good luck and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn It sounds like your husband should be in rehab while getting used to his medication with no cheating. The harsh reality is that by you giving in to his begging, you are enabling him to continue acting out as he is. As it stands, i think you both need a break from each other, and from this problem. I think you should go to an Addictions Therapist so that you can talk about how to not enable your husband. It will help you to have a therapist while you're going through these growing pains.
Avatar f tn http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Addiction-Substance-Abuse/how-do-i-do-rehab/show/1399475?personal_page_id=612523#post_6384057 I think you should speak with your doctor. As I stated before, rehab is not for physical problems or complications you may have and most do not deal with that except on a short-term basis. Good luck.
Avatar f tn My neuro ordered Diazapam for spasticity. The rehab doc changed the dose and times and told me to take extra if I need it. The haem doc has now asked me to go off it. Ahhhhhh!
Avatar f tn Thank you He will be going to a Rehab Monday But they want him 72 hours clean. That first sentence was from my wife. i wake up everyday and take at least 6 hydro tens and thats just breakfast like today (my final day) i took 4 tens and 2 oxy 40s. i wanna get off this **** so bad. i've got some phenagrine, weed, and meds for the bubble guts.
Avatar f tn He will take anything he can get his hands on. He has been in rehab three times in one year. He’s in rehab right now. Rewind to a few months ago... he got a script for gabapentin and abused it. He got high off of abusing it. And he flushed the rest. Last weekend he picked up another bottle of the gabapentin prescribed by his dr outside of his rehab.
Avatar f tn I know ALOT of celebrities have struggled with addiction... Let's talk about them... Maybe you know of some that I don't and vice versa... As we know , not all celebrities who struggled with addiction won.. A few that we lost to the horrible disease AMY WINEHOUSE, MJ, WHITNEY HOUSTON, and many more... Its sad and it just goes to show you that ADDICTION doesn't discriminate!! It affects people from ALL WALKS OF LIKE!
Avatar n tn My daughter is in rehab for pills addiction. I will be able to visit her in another month. She says she will be there for a total of 6 months. She has no money, no belongings, nothing. All was lost when she was forced to go to rehab. My question is: What can I expect when she is released? She says she will have to live on the streets if I don't help her. I tried to help her by paying her rent and giving her spending money but she spent it all on drugs was was evicted.
Avatar m tn I am sorry to say that there is no way you can get off ativan safely from that dose without an experienced doctor's supervision. You need a doctor who knows how to slowly lower your dose and watch and give you physical and emotional support, day by day. You may need to be in a rehab facililty to do this properly. Even though the ativan doesn't work, it just means you build up a tolerance to it, and the dose you are on right is incredibly high.
Avatar f tn Is there anyone in tge Brampton Ontario area who may want to go have a coffee, I could really use someone to talk to this is so hard....
