So I'm not a smoker, a drinker or a drug user like at all but I have recently taken up an iced coffee addiction and I was wondering if it's really bad to drink a glass once a day? I do have a weakness for soda however because my iced coffee addiction is more important I've substituted that for juice so I can have my iced coffee so I don't feel too guilty about all the caffeine. And what's worse is I hate drinking water.... I know I have to but it's so hard. Any advice?
The addiction and cause of the headaches (when you stop the Excedrin) is probably the caffeine. Two Excedrin Migraine have 130 mg of caffeine, which is more than a McDonald's small coffee.
I'm considering taking Excedrin -- instead of drinking coffee (because coffee upsets my stomach and Excedrin doesn't).

Hey everyone...I know I'm new on here, but I found something that is really helping me early on in my recovery (I'm on Day 6 opiate withdrawal), and thought I would share it in case anyone else could benefit from it as well. It's an App for Ipad or Iphone called, Recovery Box....and I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who is fighting the fight against their addiction.
ok, I'm a huge David Sedaris fan (a man who is recovering from his own addictions to pot, alcohol, and cigarettes, coincidentally). His occasionally dark, self-deprecating humor makes me cry with laughter. In his last book, he wrote a hilarious essay about a very "sober" topic: addiction. (Disclaimer: I don't mean to trivialize addiction in some of the quotes below- it's very serious, but it helps me to laugh at the "voice" of the addict within us.

well I know the NOS drinks really helped me going through wd's. I never got into them before........ I drink coffee too,on top of it, in the morning then the NOS durring the afternoons. so that was a boatload of caffine. but at that time, man I was going through some major 'done wd's, so anything at all to help......
but after two months or longer, I felt I was addicted to them. I was feeling much better, and just stopped going to the store where I got them.

I am seriously considering suing for my addiction to colas. This is a serious problem no one really addresses. I am also interested in starting some kind of self help group that focuses only on cola addiction.
I have done this whole pregnancy! I dont drink coffee I always have a green tea! so I try to keep my caffine intake down. which I have, I dont see coke a day would be harmful I atleasf have 2 a day Max and im sweet az :) but ask your docter definatly!
