Recently I had a severe pain in my rigt and middle of my chest on 4th Dec 2010 while i was playingTT and got urgent medication immediately and diagnosed asAcute Myocardial Infraction. Later on 7th Angio was done and found that Mid LAD has 50% lesion in 20 to 25 mm length. The lesion morphology was type B2 with moderate thrombus in it. Doctors advised Medical Treatment and prescribed blood thinners (Asprin and Clopidogrel) and also advised CBC platelets in every 3 months.
I am a 55 years old female and I was jogging regularly. I had my first MI on 07/20/2010. As I was taken to the ER 12 hours after symptoms, infarction of the anterior wall & septum had already evolved. My angio showed double vessel disease - LAD 100% & RCA 70% blockage. I had 2 stents, one for each artery on 07/28/2010. My ejection fraction was 39%. I was confined to my home not getting much sleep.

In July of 2010 I had a heart attack and had a stent done....after the surgery I came home hurting and by the next morning I was hurting so badly that I called my Cardiologist and was flown back to the hospital where I was told my stent had collapsed and he reopened that one and put in another. Over the next 8 months I had 4 more stents put in. I was put on beta blockers, crestor, isosorbide....many different drugs and gained 20 lbs. I have had pain ever since.

After six years post MI and ef varying between 25-35%, my cardiologist now feels that I should shift from aspirin(150)+clopidogrel (75) to warfarin. Two years back he did tell me that he is double minded on whether to put me on warfarin. But this time he appears to be very sure and has insisted me to go for warfarin.
His justification is "that is what literature says".

My father has gone thru angiplasy few months back and he started getting Red or purple spots on the skin. He is taking deplatt and atorvasatin. I heard this can be due to deplatt(Clopidogrel). Please let me know any treatment for the same . should we discontinue Clopidogrel. Is there any alternative for this medicine in india.
Ive only heard of proton pump inhibitors reducing the effect of Clopidogrel (plavix) but only by a tiny amount. I do have to question though if Zantac is a proton pump inhibitor anyway? Isn't it just a H2 receptor blocker?
Entecavir treatment after Lam resistance is not that much safe. Tenefovir is absolutely better option if she does not have a problem in her kidneys.
