I am 47 years of age and regularly smoking 3 to 4 cigarate for the last 25 years. Recently I had a severe pain in my rigt and middle of my chest on 4th Dec 2010 while i was playingTT and got urgent medication immediately and diagnosed asAcute Myocardial Infraction. Later on 7th Angio was done and found that Mid LAD has 50% lesion in 20 to 25 mm length. The lesion morphology was type B2 with moderate thrombus in it.
New data show that when clopidogrel and omeprazole are taken together, the effectiveness of clopidogrel is reduced. Patients at risk for heart attacks or strokes who use clopidogrel to prevent blood clots will not get the full effect of this medicine if they are also taking omeprazole.
My grandmother had stroke 6 years ago and she has atrial fibrilation.So far she used clopidogrel as treatment but her new doctor perscribed medication with rivaroxaban (but it is far more expensive) ?

In ALL the procedures I've had, I only took 600mg of Clopidogrel. 8 of the little pink blighters.
I heard this can be due to deplatt(Clopidogrel). Please let me know any treatment for the same . should we discontinue Clopidogrel. Is there any alternative for this medicine in india.
There are very good antipsycotics to help ease the symptoms you have described. I have read a few posts where people have experienced your type of problems as well. Treatment for hepc is very very difficult for some and no two people are effected exactly the same. I hope in time you find a solution that benefits you long term.
Triple medication treatment of Interferon, Ribavirin, and a Protease Inhibitor (either Teleprvir or Boceprevir) are now the standard of care for treatment of Genotype 1. The length of treatment depends on your past response to treatment.
I am not sure in which country you live and if the new protease inhibitors are available where you live. If they are available then it would be important to discuss treating with the triple medication regimen with your doctor.

It is becoming more acceptable now that clopidogrel is a benefit for life. While aspirin works on one side of the clotting process, clopidogrel works from another. You say your heart attack was caused by cholesterol but this isn't strictly true. Cholesterol is one of the later processes which makes the heart attack happen but isn't the initial cause. The initial cause is damage to your artery linings which can be through blood pressure or bad diet.
There are blood-thinning alternatives, but Coumadin is usually the first choice. Some of the alternatives include aspirin, Clopidogrel (Plavix), ticlodipine (Ticlid), dipyridamole (Persantine). Another alternative is Heparin injection. Different situations require different levels of anticoagulation. It is important to discuss the best treatment option with a physician.
I am one week post close trying not to lift too much in weight or strain but have had central chest pain for several days now. Not acute, just aching and heavy. Some brief runs of AF and slight left sided heart sensation like pinching but the central pain is the most disconcerting. Could this be the clopidogrel? Am also more tired than before the procedure! At high concentrations in the blood, clopidogrel (plavix) inhibits the activity of the enzyme which metabolizes (eliminates) warfarin (Coumadin), a "blood thinner". This could lead to an increase in levels of warfarin and increase the risk of bleeding due to over-thinning of the blood. To date there have been no reports of an important interaction in humans between warfarin and clopidogrel.

Since one and a half month of consumption of these drugs , I found myself better.But as of now, I saw just below the wrist a blue/green bruise and some reddish round spots.
I was advised by the cardiologist to stop the “Pevodex-clopidogrel”and continue the rest inclusive Aspirin !!.
Is is advisable to discontinue “PEVODEX” immediately or could you dr.,please give me a kind advice of my situation.I would send you the ECG print by attachment if required.
As far as treatment duration with Incivek in the Illuminate trial a (study included 540 HCV genotype. 1 treatment-naïve patients) the aim of the study was to find out if there was added benefit in extending the total treatment duration from 24 weeks to 48 weeks.
Based on the data there was no benefit seen in extending the treatment duration from 24 to 48 weeks.

In patients with documented hypersensitivity reactions after DES implantation, the reaction could be due either to medical therapy associated with stent implantation or to the DES itself. Several components of the DES could be responsible for the hypersensitivity reaction. These include the polymer coating, the drug (rapamycin for CYPHER and paclitaxel for TAXUS), or the stent itself.
How long is your LP (luteal phase)? If it's below 12 days then shorter cycles may be a problem. Also, I heard someone mention on this forum that if you O too early you may be releasing the egg that's not yet mature. So, it's not the length of your cycle that's important but rather the timing of ovulation. If you O in the middle you are OK and your LP should be around 12 days. Otherwise, your LP may be too short or you O too early.
