Avatar n tn Hi i'm new here and i've recently started taking iron tablets (ferrous sulphate) 200mg 3 times a day. This is an embarassing question..... Does anyone now feel sick whenever they go to the toilet? I personally go at least once a day and now i'm replused by myself. I know a side effect is blackened stools, but this makes me feel physically sick! I did feel sick too, but ever since i started taking the tablets with food i've felt better.
612551 tn?1450022175 I use to take Plavix (Clopidogrel as clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate). It likes the blood thinner as you described above. No need blood test and it won't cause excessive bleeding. It has been approved in Australia for a while. It comes with clopidogrel 75mg 28 tablets in a box. Cost AUD $82.79 for no medicare patient. I have been diagnosed TIA. I also have a history of low platelets (ITP) so I can't take Warfarin nor Aspirin. The neurologist prescribed this Plavix for me.

Avatar m tn I didn't always have this issue, but for sometime when my flatus has a strong sulphur odor, my head fills with pain as soon as I inhale it. It is just weird. The smell is already unpleasant, but I don't get the headache part. It is not the releasing of it, but the actual smelling or inhaling of it. I'm guessing that it either has something to do with hydrogen sulphide rich flatus as that gas is poisonous at high level, or it is just a psychological reaction.

675347 tn?1365460645 Please does anyone know the dosage of Glucosamine Sulphate for dogs? How many milligrams per pound body weight? Also, is it ok to give my dog the regular Glucosamine (which people take) as it is so much cheaper to buy that at the supermarket, than to get it from the vet, or to buy dog treats which contain it! Thanks for any help or suggestions, anyone. Ginger.
Avatar m tn Then I found a personal account of someone who had swished with Hydrogen Peroxide daily. Surprisingly that REALLY reduced the lesions, but my dentist got pretty upset. You should NOT put hydrogen peroxide in your mouth, very dumb idea on my part. Especially after taking organic chemistry, on the molecular level it probably does more harm than good. Hydrogen peroxide on any soft tissue is really not a good idea.
Avatar m tn my ferritin level was down to 3 and was having terrible heart palpitations, was told due to low iron/ferritin levels. was told to double up on iron to raise levels. you must also be careful if thinking about a vegetarian diet as alot of raw greens are bad for thryroid.

690060 tn?1247841741 Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has new data showing that omeprazole (Prilosec/Prilosec OTC)—a medicine used to reduce stomach acid—reduces the anti-blood clotting effect of clopidogrel (Plavix) by almost half when these two medicines are taken by the same patient." Avatar f tn t move out of bed without fainting. I have been put onto ferrous sulphate tablets 200mg twice a day. I am so desprate to feel a little bit better, as I am becoming really low & depressed with feeling this poorly or the time. Has anyone else been on these tablets? Anyone know what I can do to help? How long do they take to kick in? I've been told I may need a blood transfusion if I feel no better in 3weeks. Thank you!
Avatar n tn If a patient has drug eluding stent (DES) implant it is recommended that plavix (clopidogrel) be prescribed up to a year to help prevent blood clots with the implant. If one has A-fib there is a risk that blood clots can occur as blood may pool due to the very fast beat. Information regarding the use of the 2 anti-platelet together can present a problem and the source is MedinceNet.com.

Avatar n tn After six years post MI and ef varying between 25-35%, my cardiologist now feels that I should shift from aspirin(150)+clopidogrel (75) to warfarin. Two years back he did tell me that he is double minded on whether to put me on warfarin. But this time he appears to be very sure and has insisted me to go for warfarin. His justification is "that is what literature says". I have no AF or valve problem.
Avatar m tn New data show that when clopidogrel and omeprazole are taken together, the effectiveness of clopidogrel is reduced. Patients at risk for heart attacks or strokes who use clopidogrel to prevent blood clots will not get the full effect of this medicine if they are also taking omeprazole.
