Please help. My son is autistic. He has bowel issues. He can hold in an enema. He is on several meds. Adderall, Metformin, Risperdol, clonidine. I'm wondering if the weight gain is causing the adderall to be less effective. He's on 20mgs in the morning and 10mgs in the afternoon. He complains about he can't focus any more. It's making him very upset and very hard to deal with. I'm at my wits end. He will only deal with me. I feel like I'm a terrible mother.

Its not right to make her go through this crap again and guinea pig her again like that did for 20 yrs straight ....so, today she prescribed her 40mg of methadone a day for 1 week, then 30mg a day for 1 week, then 20mg a day for 1 week, then 10mg a day for one week, then stop .. Is how the doctor wrote it so she's not giving her anymore methadone after this month ..but!

I have a friend in desperate need of sub treatment. When I started sub, I was a 320mg a day maximum oxycontin user (mostly 160mg)but tapered down to 80mg 5 days before induction and did fine. My friend is taking oxycontin in very high doses along with anything else she can get her hands on. I found out she has been a long time user as well. She informed me she will not taper as she has nobody to help her and I for sure cannot hold the pills. Would she be a better candidate for methadone?
ll have to ask your Doctor to prescribe something along the lines of Clonidine which helps the w/d or Suboxone to taper off of opiates completely for a while.
This is what we Chronic Pain Patients face. Our tolorence becomes so high that rarely does anything work anymore. You need to do this under your Doctors care. I'm sure that between the two of you, you can come up with a good plan.
Today we both decided to go to our separate doctors and spill the beans. I went to my pcp and told him everything. He prescribed me methadone and clonidine. I want to quit cold turkey. I went to walgreens and purchased a sleep aide. Can anyone tell me how long this will last? I took my last vicodin yesterday at 12 p.m.. I started taking lexapro on Monday and the side effects of the lexapro scared me enough to not take any of the vicodin yesterday. Please help. I am in the alone.

Hi. I am a 3.5 percocet user which has recently imbedded to about 10 10/325 a day. I am going c/t and using the clonodine patch have klonopin and ultram if it gets too bad. I know 16 hours clean is nothing but it's a start I guess. When will the worst hit? And when will I feel better?

Long story short. My doctor switched my Ativan to Clonidine 0.01 for my PMDD night sweats. Has anyone ever taken it for this reason? Did it work, and is 0.01 a low dose. I am afraid to take it because I don't have high BP. Just curious and nervous about taking it.

Thus the reason for the foggy head/headache during the acute phase. The clonidine helped immensely and even helps with sleep.
It is really amazing my pain is completely almost gone, with the exception of a little soreness. I have starting weaning myself from the oxy and was going to ask my doc for some clonidine. How much does it really help with the w/d symptoms?
