I had a 15 norco a day habit, two at a time. I am on day 5 of clonidine, but am craving so badly that I just cry. All these triggers. Getting in the car, before I eat, before I get out of bad. I just don't get out of bed anymore, but the WDs (sweating etc) are basically gone. I had this addiction for almost 10 years. I guess I have a bad reason for stopping, not really because I want to, but because it has gotten to be too difficult jugling doctors. I never bought off the street or online.
so i thought my husband was going to get some oxys off the street so we could both work today but that didnt happen. I guess this tapering thing isnt happening I had 5 percoets to take today and i feel awfule im used to about 160mg of oxycontin. this suks so bad i cant stop sweating and my heart is racing and my whoel body aches. when ur on pain killers u dont relalize if you hurt urself and i think i hurt my back a few months ago and didnt even realize it until now bc it hurts sooobad.
I have been on Oxys for about three years now. First started taking them for csection when I had my daughter. Then from there I ended up with kidney stones and kept taking the things after the stones passed. I'm a "street buyer" and have been for quite some time. Lots of $$$$ gone down the tubes over these things. So tired of being broke.

After a severe wreck breaking my back I was sent to a pain management doctor in 2006. Started out with no education with opiates and other meds. Started out taking them as prescribed and them moving on the other ways for the quicker high I realized I was a full blown addict. The Dr was raising/changing my meds every several months.
I have no medical need for the pills. I buy them off the street, spending 60 every 2-3 days. Ridiculous. I know. My best friend and I have been popping pills together for sometime. Today we both decided to go to our separate doctors and spill the beans. I went to my pcp and told him everything. He prescribed me methadone and clonidine. I want to quit cold turkey. I went to walgreens and purchased a sleep aide. Can anyone tell me how long this will last? I took my last vicodin yesterday at 12 p.
t ready to stop the drugs and putting her on the suboxone will just be a way for her to get the drugs for free while still using street drugs.
Why does it seem that there is so much help and support to get off of street drugs which are abused, but people like me who took benzos for the right reasons (anxiety) I am left suffering. This bothers me. I never abused benzos, but unfortunately they cause such a dependency.. It almost feels like brain damage. This stuff does a number on you. Its scary because our doctors can so easily prescribe these drugs to us, but offer little to no help when getting off. My question is, how can I get off?
Udo, you are correct, that's what I get for posting after being up for 43hours. I apologize CC I got Clonidine and clonzapam (generic Klonipin), swapped in my head.
Thus the reason for the foggy head/headache during the acute phase. The clonidine helped immensely and even helps with sleep.
It is really amazing my pain is completely almost gone, with the exception of a little soreness. I have starting weaning myself from the oxy and was going to ask my doc for some clonidine. How much does it really help with the w/d symptoms?
enybody got eny feed back clonidine it was given to me to help with withdraw from oxi and its not doing enygood going through hell right now I have about 7 days
hi.....i have never used clonidine but it's suppose to be for high BP and also can be used for anxiety from what i've read. I am on a diff med for high BP. Good luck and hope it works for you! i've read that it helps alot of people calm down thru WDs.
second, my doctor prescribed two clonidine patches for me for any withdrawl symptoms. What do these do ? my doc said it woud basically knock me out...love that of course... but, i am hesitant because i had never heard of it... i know it is a little strange for a prescription lover to be afraid of a new drug...weird. but, i would like to hear about some experiences with people who have tried it before. Thank you so much.
It really works. It will not make you 100% the same as if you were taking the percs but it helps with anxiety, sleeplessness and overall feeling like crap. My doctor gave me 1.0 milligrams with a refill. She is awesome.
Yesterday was my full day 2 from all addictive substances (day 9 from Vicodin) and I had some anxiety late afternoon and evening. Took a pill each time and I was fine. Slept a full 8 hours.
My methadone doctor suggested clonidine for these symptoms, I know some of you have tried it and I was wondering if it helps much, and is it worth even taking? Thanks for your responses...
I am going hot and cold and getting hot flashes and really nauseous. My methadone doctor told me that clonidine will help these symptoms, I know some of you have tried it. I was wondering if I should start taking it, I am so uncomfortable. I know this is a slow and low taper, is it worth getting it?
Day 10 got some Clonidine from my doctor, Praise the Lord. Helping some. I may get through this. Not crying as much but still feel overall like crap. How much longer???
