clonidine side effects nightmares

I’m pretty sure clondine is a high blood pressure medication to reduce hypertension. It sounds like some side effects of taking clonidine may be helpful with w/d's. I haven’t tried it for that, yet, however, I took it once to reduce my BP and I accidentally took too much and I was literally walking sideways, my BP got dangerously low....(if that happens, drink lots of H2o), so, IMO, I would be very careful with it and take a very low dose. It’s nothing to mess around with….

It all makes sense but I think one thing we should be careful of here is when we use the term "doctor". Some people feel more comfortable referring to a psychiatrist as a doctor and a psychiatrist is of course a medical professional but some people don't have good health insurance and a standard physician prescribes their psychiatric medications which is not advisable.

but mostly feel dumpy and tired and I get sick feeling - iv been on verapamil for 6years now - and I can no longer take the sr or slow release extended release pills -as they no longer seem to work .. and side effects happen more so than before. but the normal 80mg verapamil pills work fine ? other than my ankles swell up and foot tops.. from it. I can't seem to get help on this matter from any Doctor or even Pharm employees.

I hope some one will answer your query about the side effects of clonidine. I dis not find any side effect relating to sexual problems with clonidine in the webpage. You may research further or alk the doctor who has prescribed it.

Has anyone here ever taken Zoloft? If so wat were your side effects? I started Zoloft on Monday. I only took one pill n within a couple of hours I felt horrible! I had nausea n diarrhea. Today is Thursday and I still feel nauseas. Keep in mind it took one pill on Monday n no more after that. Please give me some input.

My Doctor just switch my medication from 150 mg of Effexor XR to 400 mg of Seroquel XR. I dropped my dosage of Effexor gradually but I still experienced terrible withdrawl. Now I am experiencing bad side effects, " I'm guessing ths", from the Seroquel. I have gained weight in my stomach area very rapidly, I have pain and stiffness in my legs, 24 hour dry mouth and sinuses and I feel like I could cry at the drop of a hat.

ive been on it for a year also, and just recently have been having the same side effects. ive had terrible nightmares that effect my sleep and my ability to function all together. i wish i knew what was wrong and could help- whenever i talk to my doctor she just ups my dose and tells me to give it more time. im now taking 40mg of fluextine (prozac). the other meds have worse side effects though, such as wieght gain- which for teenagers can be a big deal.

OK, here's the "strange one" of the group. I have taken Vicodin for 4 years. It only makes me "grumpy" at the end of a day when I have over done my limitations and I am hurting and absolutely nothing works to ease my pain. My family knows when it's one of those evenings and they are kind enough to leave me alone and let me be a "B" all by myself. I don't even want to be around anyone. But those days are not often.

Stopped abruptly because of chest tightness, nightmares, fearful thoughts, heart palpitations, insomnia and panic attacks. The advserse side effects started gradually over the past month and then all were happening. Now these same side effects come in waves. Chest tightness stopped for several days as did insomnia. Now having anxiety and fearful thoughts. It was I Sonia last week. How long do these kind of side effects last and would taking an over the counter antihistimines help?

Getting ready to start Lexapro and I want to know the side effects you have experienced? I have been on Wellbutrion and Cymbalta and both were not for me. Made my anxiety worse. I lost weight on both but wanted to know the weight issue with Lexapro since there seems to be one. Thanks for the help.

Except for the delivery device its honestly not that different from other mood stabilizers in good effects and side effects although clearly for no one would it be used as a first line choice but then again its never been suggested as one. The world and people and their effect on me seem a bit toned down so that certainly must be one sign its working.

ve had since being diagnosed. I find that the decrease in my vyvanse was enough to calm my side effects, and the clonidine was enough to control my adhd. Hope this helps!

As always, I recommend that parents have a close working relationship with the prescribing physician and understand exactly what the medication is, what it is intended to affect, what the side effects are, how direct and side effects will be monitored, and how decisions about dose increases and decreases will be made.

PLZ take meds precribed by your doctor ,if you have any negative side effects LET HIM KNOW RIGHT AWAY. I have heard of some people who had lower blood pressure having black outs from colidine . Very scary ...... that is why I did not use it my blood pressure is low most of the time.

While the Inderal has helped lower the BP and heart rate, I am having significant side effects from it and just wondered if others had experienced the same thing. I am quite fatigued but the most disturbing thing is I'm having very vivid and scary dreams. Has this happened to anyone else?

t it normal to change medications after 4 to 5 years on that drug ,to another medication .. so this wont happen. or you dont get the untold side effects of these drugs - the ones no one tells you about !! being on them so long !! thanks to whom ever responds to this..

I do NOT tolerate these tablets as well and have also tried the 10mg capsules with the same effects (less effective more side effects- nausea, dizziness, fat face, racing thoughts, decreased libido, nightmares, sleep disturbances, etc.).. I have called several pharmacies but they all have the blue tablets too -_-... Th side effects persist even after a month on the different pill forms too.. Any options left? Or must I suck it up and take a pill that makes me sick or discontinue usage...

I recently had open heart surgery, 4 bypasses. I was on Benicar 20mg. a day before the surgery along with Zocor to control cholesterol. I am now on Plavix, Toprol XL, Zocor and Benicar. My blood pressure has been low, in the range of 90/60 since the surgery but the cardiologist wants me to continue the Benicar. He said it's "good for the heart". Has anyone ever heard of this before? My understanding was that Benicar is for high BP.

I was told to take it at night, but found it was actually keeping me awake. One of the side effects is insomnia, which is one of the last things I need, so I stopped taking it after a couple of weeks.

Since then we found out that Risperidone is know for side effects such as tardive dyskinesia. We are seriously concerned now. Will this be permanent ? What is the best way to examine this problem ? Thanks for any suggestions !
