Hi, Im already taking Norvasc 5 Mg and Lisinopril 12.5 Mg for my Hypertension. My Dr. wants to bring in another Blood Pressure pill ( clonidine) If i spelled that right. Do any of you all take this combo?? Just wondering if all of these made your blood pressure drop too low? Thanks for input!
I take 40 mg. of Lisinopril twice per day; Diovan 320mg - twice per day and Clonidine HCL 0.2 mg at bedtime. My Nephrologist wants me to take the Clonidine in the mornings also, but I cannot function - I am too dizzy and weak. I have had a stent placed in the artery leading to my left kidney and my pressure has gotten higher.
I was previously on clonidine about 3yrs ago for over a year and didnt have any side effects when I switched over to lisinopril, but after it and others didnt work I was back on clonidine. I dont really see how not having clonidine could make you physically sick, I understand that it could affect your sleeping because it does cause some sedation for some. Best thing to do is talk to your doctor about how you should go about getting off of it, if isnt helping with your BP anymore.
m on 120m Diltiazem 3x, .1 Clonidine 2x and .2 Clonidine at bedtime. BP is still high. More Clonidine (i.5-2) during the day will drop it to120/80 or below, but it drops my heartbeat to 40-50 an dI'll fall asleep. My heartrate otherwise is 56-62. I'm at the point where I really don't care much anymore. If I check my BP it just makes my BP go higher because I feel it's futile. Got a suggestion?
I have been taking Lisinopril for 2 years and since then my resting heart rate is between 90-100. Here recently though after I take Lisinopril it has jumped to 130 when walking 100 when resting. I take Lisinopril in the morning and my pulse jumps but at night it gos back to being okay (Lisinopril's half life is 12 hours). I haven't taken today because I was out but my resting pulse is 90 and when I went to WalMart it went no higher than 110 unlike 140 yesterday.
I am 6'1", 195 lb, 35 yrs. I take clonidine and lisinopril for high blood pressure. I take no other medications. I do not use drugs. I do not smoke. I do drink but not very much.
I have taken up aerobic exercise, but I have had to discontinue it. Just a brisk walk for half an hour and my diastolic bp goes from 80 to 115. I get headaces. My eyes hurt. The level it reaches during exercise I don't want to think about.
My list is Lisinopril 40 mg, Amlodipine 10 mg, Clonidine .1 mg, labetalol 300 mg. All once a day except for my Clonidine which is twice a day. I have an erectile dysfunction issue that I would like to correct. Is there any medications I could take that will not kill me that will go along with what I take everyday?
My PCP is also stumped and called it liable hypertension. Even with 20-50 mgs of Lisinopril and .2 mgs of Clonidine, my BP will still jump to 130/95 when standing. I have caught my heart rate dropping to the 40's before and also sometimes my oxygen levels drop when walking or doing work. They quickly bounce back up again though. I failed a lung function test two years ago. I had low FEV1/FVC and low DLCO gas exchange.
I'm a 50 year old male. Last year I had some very high spikes in my blood pressure, one as high as 228/120 which my doctor recorded. I had never checked my blood pressure at home so I wasn't sure if this was a white coat spike. I felt fine with no symptoms. The doctor put me on .1mg of Clonidine. I was also given an EKG which had "normal sinus rythym" and a chest x-ray wich was normal.
I have elevated sodium levels,(I follow a low sodium diet) and occassionally have very low potassium levels. I am currently taking the maximum dosage of Toprol, clonidine, spironolactone and lisinopril. This worked fine for several weeks but now my pressure is climbing again, does anyone else have this problem? My test results for various test keep coming back inconclusive or they keep saying different medications may be throwing th results off.

I'm 56y/o with high bp. It was close to 200/110 before mess. They put me on a bunch of different pills I've had adverse reactions to everything. A few days ago I was on .6mg clonodine and 40mg lisinopril. (Sorry spelling). I've been taking clonodine since the end of October, two weeks ago dr bumped me up to .3mg in morning, .3mg at night(clonodine).

20 mg in 7 am , and 20 mg Lisinopril in 7 pm (so total = 40 mg Lisinopril per day). During the day (systolic) hypertension goes 150-160 mmHg and only in 2-4pm it is 130 mmHg (and at 10-12 pm). What should be done for this patient. Maybe trying a diuretic (hydrochlorthiazid) and lowering the dose of Lisinopril? Please tell what do you think of the doses to start trying, how often and when during the day? (P.S.
Hi my boyfriend is 53 and has a thickened left ventricle which causes very high BP. He is taking metaprolol 50mg twice a day now and lisinopril / hydrochlorothiazide 20mg/25mg twice daily also. In addition he has been very depressed and has started taking SIX 300mg pills of St. John's wort daily. He just measured his BP because he didn't feel good and it was 170/95 and it's been higher than that. He will not listen to me or go back to his doctor, I feel like the St.
Lisinopril and Metoprolol when I left the hospital, now Lisinopril and carvedilol (coreg). seems like a relatively common combination.
On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December. Even though I was feeling better the doctor increased my lisinopril to 40mg. I don't get it.
s picked about 7 hours after taking Lisinopril and was really bad at about 12 hours after taking Lisinopril. I experienced about 3100 PVC's during this 24 hr holter report of which approximately 1600 of them came in this 5 hour period between the 7 hour and 12 hour mark post Lisinopril. I do have about 20-80 PVC's per hour during the rest of the day. any thoughts???
I take Coreg(Carvedilol) and Lisinopril. I still want children very badly and was told that basically, there were meds that I can take instead of Lisinopril, but I would have to stop taking Coreg. Of course, I would just have to see how I would do without Coreg... Are there any alternatives to Coreg?
220lbs with borderline HTN which my PCP said to be a combination of being overweight and anxiety, I was placed on lisinopril 5mg 1x daily and xanax 0.25mg 3x daily, until I lose 20lbs. the 5mg of lisinopril helped with the BP, but 3 days into taking the Medication I started getting muscle aches. I went to my PCP and he said it was not likely lisinopril so he gave me flexeril for the muscle aches.
Would anyone here know, how long it would take lisinopril, a BP medication to remylinate the brain?

i have major depressive disorder, dysthimic disorder, and panic disorder. i am on 10 mg lisinopril daily (blood pressure), klonopin 1 mg 3 x daily, pristiq 50 mg daily, lyrica 200 mg daily, protonix 40 mg daily, and 7.5/325 mg of norco 3 x daily. I've never had performance issues until a few days ago with a new relationship that i dont want to **** up because she is a very positive and awesome person. im freaking out about being 26 yrs old and having performance issues.
I received a pacemaker/defib combo 4 weeks ago. My Dr wants me to increase my Lisinopril to 25 mgs a day. I am tolerating 7 mgs a day. Does this increase or decrease my blood pressure?.
