He said there are no harmful interactions between the two. But whenever I take the clonidine it feels like it is kicking me into withdrawal again. severe agitation anxiety racing heart dizziness and double vision. Whats going on please?

Theres no otc pain relievers that Im aware of that have negative interaction with clonidine, and yes you can take immodium. I take clonidine still to this day for my blood pressure and I use naproxen, aspirin,tylenol etc. and I was taking immodium during my detox while on clonidine. If you want to be safe go to drugs.com and look up clonidine and it will tell you all the possible interactions it can have. As far as I know there shouldnt be anything to worry about.

- I looked up interactions on a few sites -it reads dont mix or take bystolic with verapamil very clear ! and clonidine as well. - now im wondering why in the world would a good cardio doctor do this ? My list is Lisinopril 40 mg, Amlodipine 10 mg, Clonidine .1 mg, labetalol 300 mg. All once a day except for my Clonidine which is twice a day. naproxen is a fine I would discuss any thing else with your doctor I would steer clear of the benzos they are highly addictive you do want to trade on addiction to another plus I thought there were some interactions with benzos and methadone that could be very serous even fatal..

He is currently taking 20mg of Mediate, 10 mg Abilify, 10 mg Prozac and .5 of clonidine in the morning. He takes a.5 clonidine at noon and at 4:00 P.M he take .5 clonidine and 10 of Ritalin. my heath high blood pressure meds for it a re 1 lisinopril 40 gs 1 aday and clonidine 2 0.1 mgs 2 a aday,,,and 1 minoxidil deep vein thromboses..meds 7.5 mgs of coumadin aday had a p.e. in 2000.. asthma not serve on albuterol 2 puffs 4 times aday as needed im also apnea on the cpap everynight!! anxiety with panic in the past if i didnt take meds wopuldnt be able to funshion..had agoraphobia from the pantic..didnt leave for 2 yrs..meds xanax 0.

Wow Jeni I'm not sure. The only time I took Clonidine was for my high blood pressure. I've heard that Clonidine helps with a lot of symptoms of withdrawal including cravings. My doctor gave me Zofran 8 mg for nausea. It worked really well. Sorry I can't be of more help. Hang on for a while.

Thus the reason for the foggy head/headache during the acute phase. The clonidine helped immensely and even helps with sleep.

It is really amazing my pain is completely almost gone, with the exception of a little soreness. I have starting weaning myself from the oxy and was going to ask my doc for some clonidine. How much does it really help with the w/d symptoms?

hi.....i have never used clonidine but it's suppose to be for high BP and also can be used for anxiety from what i've read. I am on a diff med for high BP. Good luck and hope it works for you! i've read that it helps alot of people calm down thru WDs.

s but only a caring doctor will give it, most would rather see you suffer....i took .1 mg of clonidine 3 times daily...worked tremendously well...if taking clonidine will help get you off your d.o.c.,...take it as your doctor has prescribed it...regardless of what you think MIGHT happen...it does help more than i can describe, i think it is a miracle drug for wd's. i took it for 10 days, then tapered for 3, it is not addictive, but you have to taper to avoid rebound high BP...

second, my doctor prescribed two clonidine patches for me for any withdrawl symptoms. What do these do ? my doc said it woud basically knock me out...love that of course... but, i am hesitant because i had never heard of it... i know it is a little strange for a prescription lover to be afraid of a new drug...weird. but, i would like to hear about some experiences with people who have tried it before.
