His blood pressure fluctuates from 120/70 then 190/94 (3-4PM). So, he takes 1/2 of Clonidine HCL (0.1mg) then it drops to 58/47... eventually it comes back to 120/70 at night. Labetalol HCL 200mg Two time daily (8AM and 7 PM) Libinopril 10mg One time daily (noon) Gabapentin 300mg Two time daily (10 AM and 8PM) Clonidine HCL 0.1mg. Take 1/2 Tablet when blood pressure is higher than160/90. With high potassium, he doesn't eat banana, orange and cocoa. He also has gout disease.

I was also wondering if anyone new about incorporating Clonidine HCL 0.1MG with a tapering schedule to detox off of Norco 10/325? I take 15mg. a day, or 5mg three times a day and would like someone to provide me with a slow tapering schedule to detox off of this medication that also uses Clonidine to help reduce the detox withdrawl symptoms. I am presently going through withdrawl symptoms everyday such a muscle and bone pain, sweating, mood changes, etc.

second, my doctor prescribed two clonidine patches for me for any withdrawl symptoms. What do these do ? my doc said it woud basically knock me out...love that of course... but, i am hesitant because i had never heard of it... i know it is a little strange for a prescription lover to be afraid of a new drug...weird. but, i would like to hear about some experiences with people who have tried it before. I was Rx'ed clonidine HCL as a potentiator to opiates, essentially so I could take less of a bad thing. Beware there is such a thing as clonidine withdrawl - FAR worse than opiate w/d - pounding heartbeat, sweats, and lots of anxiety. What happened was I had quit opiates long ago, continued clonidine for my hypertension, then when I quit salt (removed from my Rx diet by my MD)- my blood pressure tanked, and that's when I suddenly had to quit clonidine, which was worse than opiates!

I take it for BP mine is 0.1mg as for how to take it for wd I do not know but someone that knows will come along.. I would think 1 in morn. and 1 at night but not sure....

My dr gave me script for clonidine hcl 0.025mg take one in morning.Have not tried yet but i think i am going to put my mind to quiteing i hate having to do a pill to function and having to keep arms coverd.So does anyone know if it will help me get threw this,i also have it in0.1mg but told to cut in four.

I have tapered off of subox, the doctor put me on Clonidine to take 3 times a day. So far, I feel fine, in fact this is the best I have felt in a while. I was on put on subox. four years ago for pain management, not for detox. It took me almost 2 years to taper of of subox, but when I got down to 0.25mg, the doctor put me on this Clonidine. Is my feeling good only because of this new medication? Am I going to need to taper off of something else now? WTF?

I was told that maybe I was having an allergic reaction to lisinopril was given neo/poly/dex ophth susp 5 ml 4x daily, hydroxyzine hcl 25mg 3x daily, and clonidine 0.1mg 2x daily to replace the lisinopril. Swelling began to go down still itch though went to my dr and he said has never seen anything like this and he doubted that I was allergic to lisinopril. My eyes has began to swell back up and facial rash and lids are itching more and more to the point that I cannot sleep.

problem is i was taking around six mgs of klonopin everyday for three months and i wanna stop....someone told me clonidine will work for the benzo withdraw? it doesnt seem to be.....anyone got any ideas???

My doc gave me clonidine too but only a 0.1mg dosage. Are you sure yours aren't 0.2mg? How long have you been taking them? My doc said as long as I didn't take them for more than 2 weeks I shouldn't have to taper off. He only gave me a script for 10 days. I'm glad to hear that the clonidine helped you get off opioids. I give me hope!

About day 1-3 I took Clonidine 0.1mg 3 times daily (about every 8 hours). Day 4-5 I think I took 1/2 every 8 hours or so, maybe less. The point being I was trying to get off of it as soon as possible and keep the dose low to avoid rebound hypertension. About night 7 I took a half again because I was sweating terribly. Other than that I haven't been taking it.

I am working on getting off the pain meds and put on something less addictive, My choice. My doctor has me trying 0.1mg Clonidine along with all the other stuff I take. He told me to break them in half at first. He was saying I should not get sleepy from this. Is this true? Also I take 1 30mg tab in the morning and halves to little less than half about 2 or 3 hours there after of the pain med. When is a good time to take the Clonidine ? Any advise would be great thank you.

Then God Himself created Clonidine. I'm on a slow taper, and have been MILITANT, I mean absolutly MILITANT this week...I'm determined. However, a coworker went through by purse and took the remaining 8 norcos I had, and all my cash. Great. ******* great. Last night after being in pain all day (lower back that went down my legs and feet and tingling feelings all over my body and sweating oh the sweating and freezing) I finally took a 0.1mg clonidine and was able to sleep a good 12+ hours. I woke up this morning around 10am (went to be around 7pm or earlier not sure of the time) and felt really good for about a hour and then it slowly came back it is just now getting to the untolurable stages again (it is 325pm).

Ya my doctor put me on a low dose of this for oxy withdraw 0.1mg twice a day for a month but i was already at 10 days sober! It really helped me to relax and stop moving my legs so much! Careful though i can see how it could be abused there were days i wanted to take a 3rd or 4th to become evwn more relaxed! And be ready to pee 20 times a day!

I just went to my Doctor today.12-5-2012 For clonidine.For withdrawal from 32 days off tramadol and after today will be my 10th day off methadone.The pain from withdrawal did't start untill the third day Methadone time table different from all other opiates. Hi, I've been taking clonidine for the last week, just at bedtime, they are the 0.1mg tablets, I haven't taken any since Thursday night...I've had a super bad headache & was wondering if it could be from not taking the clonidine???...it scares me to take it at all BC I always have low BP, but the Dr said it would be ok...I'm getting desperate to get rid of this headache so should I take one??...I've tried everything else & NOTHING has helped...

My friend is a Heroin addict and has been clean for a few months (I think) anyway he was taking 0.1mg of clonidine and has was taking it 4 times a day. He has just stopped it without slowly lowering the dose.He is going into a rehab next week and can't have the clonidine. Is this a drug that can become addicting? I take 40 mg. of Lisinopril twice per day; Diovan 320mg - twice per day and Clonidine HCL 0.2 mg at bedtime. i'm on my second day of coming off Hydro Morphz(3mg) and Fetyln patches(50mg) and morphine(10mg). Iv'e been doing this daily and the past 2 years. I'm not prescribed any of these medications. t worry too much about the clonidine. I am on day three detox and am taking .5 mg clonidine a day-but I was on it to begin with so perhaps I have a higher tolerance? As for the leg cramps? I'm taking all the supplements you are plus hot magnesium drinks and my legs are the most uncomfortable part of me.
