My main concern now is that they (his doctor and mother) have elevated his drug regimine to include 3 drugs that have known interactions with each other, 1 (Concerta) that is known to potentially cause sudden death, and 2 (Clonidine and Zolpidem) that are not recommended for children. Although Strattera does have some potential side effects, I believe it is by far the safest.
hi.....i have never used clonidine but it's suppose to be for high BP and also can be used for anxiety from what i've read. I am on a diff med for high BP. Good luck and hope it works for you! i've read that it helps alot of people calm down thru WDs.
mutlivitamins and still prozac which is cut down from 10mg to 5mg to wean him off, he was on concerta 36mg for adhd, clonidine .1mg to help with sleep and prozac10mg to combat severe side effects, then after starting prozac. he was chewing on the inside of his lower lip so bad, 2 weeks later and he now has two scars..
Does any1 knw how long you usually have to stay on clonidine after getting off opiates? And am I still considered in detox even tho its bn twelve days?

If you are at the start of your w/ds then I would talk to the DR about getting a few prescribed during your detox..They work for Anxiety & help with Sleep. I got mine finally prescribed after I went 22 days of High Anxiety & No Sleep coming off of 3 meds at once back in 2012. I could only take it at Night!!!!
Now almost 2 years later I had some Heart Procedures and have learned alot about these BP Meds.
I hear you on the neck pain. Am on day 7 and in agony. Can't sleep for the life of me. I am good in the am but by 2 pm I feel like I'm back at day 4): I gotta go try to catch some sleep....Take good care of yourself and maybe try tiger balm for the muscle pain-it's helping me some.
My 9 yr old daughter has anxiety. It has gotten so bad this school year that she is missing school. The majority of her anxiety revolves around the fear of throwing up. It is almost every day at school lunch. She starts feeling nauseas as soon as she wakes up in the morning because she is worried about lunch. I am coming off percocet 7.5\325 2 - 5 x a day and oxy 20 mg 2 - 3 x a day for the past couple years. I have a script for clonidine .1 which isn't doing much so I called my regular doc and he is going to put me on Klonopin ( Dosage unknown until I get script tomorrow).
From what I can tell these are 2 totally different drugs. Has anyone used Klonopin for opioid withdrawls?
second, my doctor prescribed two clonidine patches for me for any withdrawl symptoms. What do these do ? my doc said it woud basically knock me out...love that of course... but, i am hesitant because i had never heard of it... i know it is a little strange for a prescription lover to be afraid of a new drug...weird. but, i would like to hear about some experiences with people who have tried it before. Thank you so much.
