My boyfriend is making a heroin detox with tramadol, for seven days , first day 1 pill each 4 hours,day 2 one pill each 8 hours...tappering untill nothing ,today is day seven ,he had half a pill of tramadol(100mg each pill),but he´s having withdraws!! We dont understand if they are heroin withdraws or from the tramadol that he has been tappering all week,he s beginning to feel tired,snizing,restless legs,"chicken skin ", heavy body...

I am desperately trying to cut back on the clonidine and zanaflex and I am experiencing terrible w/d symptoms. (heart racing, anxiety, sweating, pain, nausea, etc.) Could I be still having w/d from the tramadol or is it the other meds causing it? Did I just give up one addictive drug for 2 others? I am so tired of this continuous roller-coaster of chronic pain, meds, w/d's, pain... The dr has also put me on Cymbalta, it has been 7 weeks. It doesn't seem to be doing very much.

i was told on one of the forums that i could take vicodine 2-3 times during my withdrawl from tramadol and i would make it a little easier. I want to know if this is something people can do. I want to ask my doc for the vicoden but only if it will help. I use a general practiction who said the wothdrawl wouldnt be that bad. any advise would help. I has been 26 hrs since my last dose.

tramadol withdrawals are way worse than hydro withdrawals from what i hear, my wife has tramadol and i thought about taking one to help but did research and said F**k that, the withdrawals cause convulsions n sh1t, dont mess with them, they are being reclassified this year...

t take the symptoms anymore. I took clonidine, and I did great with it. It is not habit forming and helps the CT withdrawals. I don't know about using it while tapering. Like I said.....I could never do it!!! Keep posting too. Let us know how you are doing! I have been off of tram since early March! It CAN be done!!!

Please get some meds from a Dr. ( Clonidine and a few tranzene ) then the otc stuff like Immodium, pain meds otc, benadryl, Try the things from the Thomas Recipe if you can ( in the Health Pages ). My best wishes to you and please post often and ask any questions you may have. Detox is rough but doable. Please read the others posts as there is alot of good info on here. After day 5 you aught to feel better so you're getting close, just hang tight!!

So many people say NEVER take tramadol and Zoloft together and that they have ended up in the hospital after only taking 200 mg of tramadol while currently taking 100mg or less of Zoloft or another SSRI. Am I just being paranoid? I don't want to chance this syndrome. Please help me......I was never told of safe doses just told by doc if I had any of the symptoms get to the ER ASAP. ok I have high blood pressure, anemia, and i have these really bad anxiety attacks and i have had these problems since i was six years old and when i was about 14 my doctor perscribed me clonidine and now if i dont take this pill i cant sleep at night i get sick and i throw up until i have this pill my doctor wants me to stop taking it and if i do it just make me so sick and i would never sleep what am i going to do.

I made a conscious choice to bite the bullet and get through this once and not substitute for another opiate, I flushed the tramadol down the toilet to make sure I would not be tempted and after lingering on this forum and reading I am very glad that I did! Please dont let my personal experience deter you, things may be different for you, but I strongly recommend doing more research on tramadol.

I tapered down to 6 and then saw a doc and got on Prestiq (anti-depressant), Clonidine for the withdrawal and Klonopin for Anxiety and she gave me Ambien CR for at night and in 3 days, I went CT yesterday. look on the bottom right of this page and check into the thomas recipe and the amino acid protocol. the vitamins and supplements mentioned help replenish the body. is it possible for you to get clonidine from your doctor ? this is a blood pressure meds that helps with detox symptoms.

d say taper very slow over months (depending on what your current dose is) and tramadol too must be a slow taper. You could start to reduce the lyrica but start tapering the tramadol properly and then tapering the lyrica (I believe lyrica may take a bit more time and discomfort than the trams but that's just my personal opinion). How much do you take how often and since how long?

How many mgs of methadone are you coming off of? I don't know too much about tramadol but I have went through w/ds from methadone.I don't believe the tramadol would help much if at all and tramadol is also addictive and comes with it's own nasty w/ds.

scranton ,i am not sure what drug you are taking about to help him quit taking tramadol,if you can tell me the name ,i can tell you about it . There is Clonidine it helps with some of the withdrawls? He will need to taper if you can find out how much he is taking and he is willing we can make him up a taper plan.

Well, at 5pm today, I enter Day 4. At least I think that is what it is. Took the last dose of lortab at 5pm on Friday. I think that means I'm completing Day 3 or close to it. Still feel really horrible, even with clonidine and 50mg of tramadol every six hours. Wonder why they aren't helping more? I've heard some people on here talk about how the clonidine or tramadol can spare you from withdrawal symptoms. My doctor prescribed them to me just for that, too.

I ran out of norcs in Mexico and was going through it pretty bad... achy/sick/sweating/crying... and found a pharmacy and bought some Tramadol... i took three of them... i think a total of 150mg (not too sure though) and within a few hours, i felt better.. my symptoms stopped for a while... and got me through until i got back home. I too did not feel any high from them and found them to be a God send to help with withdrawals... although what I read you can get addicted to them too..
